Since it seems a few people are having a hard time finding opponents and coming up with matchups, here's a thread to throw a few ideas for some around.
While I reluctantly can't participate because I'm not good at drawing yet, I had an idea for what I thought might be a cool thread.
Anyone who's good at fan art, draw or describe ideas for before and after pictures of matches that have happened, based on how the conclusion was decided.
e.g...
(Note: Please tell me if this is appropriate for the Versus Threads board; I'd greatly appreciate the serious debate that board offers.)

"Location: Central Park, New York City. The location can be left during the course of battle...
This thread is created with the purpose of members requesting addition of threads in the Versus Battles board or external sites to administrator-protected profiles.
Some guidelines for posts on this thread:
Kindly post links to the threads, along with the characters involved in the thread...
So currently we have this as our Standard Battle Assumptions:
"In character, but willing to kill. The characters will employ their usual battle strategies, including flaws such as being casual, however, must be willing to kill the opponent even if they usually won't."
I have been thinking of...
So, I ask myself several questions about this:
First, what about being in a pocket Dimension, their opponent appears in the interior? (I'm thinking of PMMM witch)
Secondly, there are situations where passive capacity has borne a great deal of support for the SBA, which guarantees an instant...
Alright, so this has probably been on everyone's mind for quite some time (in some form of fashion).
Right now, we treat Speed Equalized has meaning "ignore the speed stat."
There are many reasons as to why this definition is completely ridiculous and does not work at all given certain...
As an example, suppose there are... 5 size multiplying items a character in a 'verse has access to, but can't use outside of combat.
Their inventory can normally hold 50 items.
They can equip up to 10 items, & use up to 3 items at a time in combat.
How many such size multiplying items would...
Our standard location for the SBA is Central Park.
But for any location that permits it, do they have a population? Are the locations business as usual, or are they empty playgrounds for purposes of the fight?
There are people who could use their abilities to benefit from their surroundings...
There should be a rule for "speed equalized", that when equalizing speed, the creator of the match should specify equalized to what, otherwise it'll create confusion. Don't understand what confusion it creates? Here's an example:
There are two guys: Sam and John. I make a vs battle between the...
OK, these couple of things need to be addressed about our Standard Battle Assumptions, with one being even more important than the other. This is a big one.
1. Speed Equalization by Default: I think it is no surprise that I would like for Speed Equalized to be the default assumption. The...
so, i woul like to ask how far do we take verse equalization
like, do we assume in a fight wwith a naruto character that the enemie has chakra pathways?
or do we equalize things like aura (rwby) and ki (dragon ball) despite them working differently?
You know the drill. Add in your favorite low to mid tier 9-B's and let's find out who wins. Speed is equal.
So far:
Koopa: ded
Severus Snape
Xenomorph
Jason Voorhees
Ash Williams
Captain Jack Harkness
Shrek (DreamWorks): Duranility negated and out haxed
Robert Edward O. Speedwago...
This post may actually a little silly but I can't help but wondered. I'm looking through the versus thread rules and read the standard battle assumption for lol and a octavomething caught my attention in the victory condition part.
"incapacitating the opponent by putting him in a state in which...
By standard battle assumptions, "The fighters will have absolutely no prior knowledge of each other." in a vs thread.
My question is: does that rule ALWAYS apply? What if the characters come from the same verse and canonically know each other? And what if, for example, a disney fan fights...
Post a rule that all characters follow.
I will go first to show an example
Every charcter must have a thread fighting sans and 50% of the time there is a speed equalized round
(this is fun and games guys it's all for lols)
This thread is created in response to a very valid concern raised by Dragonmasterxyz in this thread.
It is a long thread, but the crux of the matter is that the time limit for BFR is one month, which is far too large. The thread got me thinking that we need to re-evaluate what is an acceptable...
