General rules for all characters

Post a rule that all characters follow.

I will go first to show an example

Every charcter must have a thread fighting sans and 50% of the time there is a speed equalized round

(this is fun and games guys it's all for lols)

Reinhard for the reaso-

Oh wait, we're not doing that.

Umm... Every thread must at least have one 'Reinhard for the reasons above'.

Jesus christ i'm happy this got some replies i wish i had some tags i could put on here too

(Anyone know any tags)

If there is even the slightest difference in speed between two characters in a fight, speed must be equalized.

EDIT: Hypersonic VS Hypersonic+? Boy, if you don't equalize that, I swear to God--

As speed equalized goes to the character with the lowest speed, all immobile characters cannot be used in speed equalized matches

Fighting technique is the most important part of a matchup.

Also for tags, how about "standard battle assumptions", "versus thread rules", and most importantly… "thread manipulation".

Every character absolutely leads with their best hax, using the perfect combination that grants the win. No exceptio
And if their best hax is something that won't work, they'll instinctively switch to leading with whatever hax they have that does.

@the everlasting

Tbh i kind of agree with that rule, if a characters speed is their greatest asset you shouldn't just pit them against someone who can't fight that trait. But of course theres no reason you can't do it anyway
