Alright, that's better. Although I will say I have translated that before, you went through the trouble of putting it in imgur so might as well:

    Synopsis:

In Jump Comic's 14th Volume of Jujutsu Kaisen, Akutami Sensei had the opportunity to explain "Gojo's technique". He explained it over in Jump Comic's Volume 14 and 15, but Takano, whom thought it wasn't explained enough, called in the strongest assassin to have thought over even more.

Alright, before I get into this, I have another question that's been troubling me. So, in this scan, it states "次元を超越" which seemingly means "transcend dimensions." However, at the same time, many people say it's "dimensionally transcendental," accepting that as the more valid output, which confuses me because when I plug it into a translator, "transcendental" means "超越的な," which obviously isn't given in the kanji of the scan. For it to mean "dimensionally transcendental" it would have to be "次元を超越した"and not "次元を超越" which just means "transcend dimensions. " Yet somehow, people argue it's "transcendental" either way, as well as Hermes himself, a popular translator.

Also, another thing alongside this, the full kanji to dictate that it "transcends dimensions" is "次元を超越" as said before, but the problem is that "超越" means dimension. For it to be plural or mean "dimensions" you would need to add "たち" {also known as "達"} since that's the suffix to nouns to indicate plurality - so "次元達." Meaning, the context of the kanji would literally just have said "transcend dimension" instead of "dimensions." But for some reason, every translator says "dimensions" and people take it as "dimensions." I'm also confused at this.

I was wondering if you could give me intel on this and offer a conclusion to all of this, since this is confusing to me.
Hi, do you have some spare time for translations?

Depends if I want to kill my computer.

No, I don't. Because this place is so horrendous with internet lag that it kills me everytime I'm even on here after a minute.

I'm not trying to be mean, I'm just being real. It's a stupid platform with lag issues that I can't even tell if this is a Me issue or an It (Wikia Forum) issue.

    VSB, dude.

I said this place, as in referring to this whole forum or whatever VSB here is to that of the wikia.

Imgur is not a forum (at least not that I'm aware of) nor have I ever had any lag issues there.
Hello. Do you have the time to help me out with a translation? If so, could you add me on discord at phoenix#1181.

The scans I need translated are these.

I would greatly appreciate your help. I'm uncertain what degree of fluency you have, so this might be hard, though. I can maybe try and shorten it to just the bits that are important.
Hey, could you please translate this, I kinda need it for my next DxD CRT. Thanks.

Hello, I plan to make a Pseudo DxD Issei vs Low-EXP Gunnix threat on the FC/OC forum, yet I doubt anyone there is knowledgeable of him, I watched High School DxD up to season 3 in the past. By any chance, could you argue for his Pseudo DxD key?

I'm usually busy with other stuff rn but you're lucky I'm somewhat free rn atm so just for this.

I should also inform you with how busy my life is rn that I should not be asked and relied on entirely for translations. That is not something you and anyone else on here should be doing to one person.

    In any case.

(Story) In three lines, I will explain the Sea Area Event stories thus far!

    1) In the future of "World Alpha", a mysterious existence known as "X" appears. In order to save history from destruction, the artificial machine "Anti-X", also known as "Siren" flies off to various/all sorts of parallel worlds/universes - branches to conduct experiments!

    2) The Commander in "World Beta - Experimental Site Beta" alongside the "Ships/Kansen", concepts of ships that have manifested/materialized through the power of the Cube, fight against the "Siren" who are disrupting the world with their experiments!

    3) With "X" also encroaching and attacking World Beta, various factions struggle to gather the "META" as allies to create a large fighting force!

That's pretty much it...what do you think?

Okay. I finally got some free time atm from some of my other stuff. But I am seriously telling you to stop bothering me so much and much more stop pestering me when there can be other you could have also asked if possible. I especially don't appreciate how you ignore my statement even more of "don't rely all of this on one person". You think I do shit for free just because? I do it only if I'm in the mood to help if I got nothing to do when I get on here, and I don't need to remind you of my translation commission I have to do for my client even now, nevermind other priorities I have off this platform and IRL.

Edit: I understand this fking platform don't have any active translators and all that, but that does not mean you should ignore what people say if they have something they gotta do that they cannot be on here to do stuff like this all the time nor be solely on here for anything like translation stuff. Because I have a life I need to prioritize too when I'm not on here, same for the other translators who were active but aren't atm (if they'll ever come back or when).

That said, here's what I got. And try to use the image you linked as a reference point with what I'll write on here.

Hello friend, Could you translate this please?

    RoggerReggor
    RoggerReggor
Hey there, I was originally the one who asked Zetsu to get the scene translated because I don't happen to know any VSBW-accepted translators, so yeah, thank you very much for the help.

So, in the official English translation of this scene, it talks about how Ibuki (a girl character) dented an elevator but doesn't add much context behind the depth of anything about the dent, so I got my hands over the official JP version after searching for it for a long time, after I heard that it did add some context.

    Your translation:
Frustrated, Ibuki stood up and flew right into the elevator with all of her might. The place she had kicked became surrounded in force. She kicked the area again. Though the elevator shook violently, there was not a sign of it moving.

    Bing Translate:
Ibuki stood up in frustration and kicked the elevator as hard as she could have kicked. The place is dented as much as possible. There was another kick to the same spot. The elevator was shaking but there was no sign of it moving.

    ChatGPT:
As frustration surged within Ibuki, she stood up and kicked the elevator with all her might. A spot on the wall caved in significantly. He delivered another kick to the same spot. The elevator swayed violently but there was no sign of it starting to move.

    Google Translate:
Frustrated, Ibuki stood up and kicked the elevator as hard as she could. The part was deeply dented. Another kick to the same spot. The elevator was shaking but there was no sign of it starting to move.

I got the scene translated through various sources available on the internet (but of course, getting it verified with an actual person becomes important), so which translation best supports the "surrounded in force" statement, if it does provide that kind of context behind the scene. Also, this is particularly about the part where she becomes frustrated and kicks the elevator with all her might (which is common between translations, but the intensity of the dent becomes questionable).

    Thanks again.
    Qliphoth_Bacikal
    Qliphoth_Bacikal
Ah, I see something I actually did wrong. There was a kanji I normally never see before (凹) if not very unoften so I must have thought of something off there.

It actually does say she dented the area, rather than being "surrounded for force" which looking back would be read pretty weirdly. My bad lol. I'll adjust that after this comment. (TBF, I am literally being juggled with various other TL requests off this site, plus a novel project I'm working on so I can easily get one piece of something wrong)

That said in regards to the "area" she kicks at, there's not much else than the char in question just kicking something so hard she made a dent on somewhere and caused the elevator they're in to shake. That's about it. Sorry for the slight confusion and of not being able to provide anymore details with what I am given here.

Hope any of this sorta helps to clarify it.
    RoggerReggor

I see. Thank you very much once again. And also, don't worry about it, I wish you luck on the work you are doing.
Just got all of my wisdom teeth taken out.

Procedure wasn't that bad, at all. But also kinda in some ache like pain or discomfort even. Gonna be like a week or two ish in recovering from it so won't be on as much around here, even though I do even less than I did the last time I was here but yeah.
    Hmm...nearly 2 and a half years...and nothing's changed much.

Hmm. Anywho, greetings to anyone that see's this. Yes, this is me. Qliphoth Bacikal, or Qliphoth if you want to just say that. It's all good.

So as anyone would know by then and now, I left this fandom one day for a lot of reasons that I won't tell but if you're heard of others off-site about it, you may know of it. Again won't be getting into any details about that as you can find that on your own on any other forum. But mostly on my own, I left because I was stressed out being around here and just getting about lost on what I was doing until I had to just go and leave. Just take some time off on my own to do my own thing, maybe do some find one self sort of journey.

And I did do just that! ...Sorta. I just went to get a job and work, I kept practicing and learning my skills in things like language arts (or learning new languages if that makes sense), do translation work, even get into the passion of some personal hobbies like fanfiction writing (yes, I do this and plenty of others have to have done so too in the past and still do now). Even having thoughts of getting back into school to do another profession cuz the one I did got BURNT TFO out of me when I went to college. Either that, or just do more work cuz I just like to have something to do and get paid for it owo.

That said, guess it was out of a whim to see what's been going on here and...nothing's been changed much. If at all. Just your usual CRT's or discussion threads going on from the looks of it since I last left. Though I will say that I won't be as proactive as I was when I was around here last time, just basically stick to doing whatever comes to mind that I like to do and not want/need to do...or however that would go in saying that.

In any case, if anyone that still remembers how I was before I left or kinda miss talking to me, feel free to drop by and say a hi. I very appreciate casual talks at the least.

All said and done, enjoy a nice day and read.
Hi, I would like to evaluate the translation of this specific bit, and would also like to know why different machine translations yield different response; in the “infinite number of universes/space-time exists infinitely” part

    「……基準……」

It would be gladly appreciated, if context matters I can explain it.

Sorry to bother you, but I heard you translate shit so, if you don't mind could you translate these two scans as literally as possible?

There's two eng translations already but the issue is they, while saying almost the same thing, have a key difference or two that would result in a few notable changes between whichever one it is we decide to use 🤷‍♂️

If you're busy or whatever that's fine as well.

There's multiple eng translations and while all get across a general idea, details actually matter greatly here, and they have conflicting details. I asked Redgrave for a translation already and got one that looks aight but he said getting a second opinion would be good so 🤷‍♂️
Tbh this is one of the few things holding back the profile from being completed, though I'm also in no real rush to finish it, it's been waiting for 10 months, it can wait a bit longer if need be.

    Ah, got it.

I even talked with Redgrave about it (only other person who I'd trust in looking into JP stuff) and that seems to be what's the talk here.

I'll try to look into it whenever but I can see why it's important given latest chapters and info we got out of it.

I feel like this'll only clog up or get lost in the translation thread, so I figured I'll just talk it here.
Carrion/Karion/Carillon's name is spelt カリオン in Japanese. I just want to know which English version of the name is more appropriate.
Context: Carillon is what Yen Press used for their official translations. Carrion is what anime captions/subtitles use (and seems like the coolest name, most users here like it). Karion is it's romaji and is used in the fan translations of novels.
Update: Taking a lot more time and activity off here to fix my computer as that’s my main form of work on the internet.

Typing by phone to also communicate but due to how tedious it can be to type here, I am limiting my activity to at least just commenting. Anything else, I cannot do and I’d rather not try to attempt to do anything until I get my problem with computer resolved.

    Further update.

After having about spent maybe a good two weeks give or take without my main computer, I finally got it fixed. So NOW I am 100% active-ish...

Sadly it comes with the cost with having to get a new drive cuz old one was just getting old and dying on me like an elderly person, and more importantly not having activated a backup system before it died out so...back to square one on getting everything set up like before.
    Hi Qliphoth

    I hope you’re doing well.

Recently, you provided a translation to a line of dialogue from Super Mario 64, however this has created a point of contention as many people are finding a different result. This seems to boil down to how the first sentence ends with the verb “つくろうとしています” being written in hiragana, leaving it open ended as to what it might mean. From what I can gather, you translated it as “trying to cover up” by interpreting “つくろう” as “繕う”, however many people have preferred to read it as “作ろう” instead. This seems to have created a divide between whether the intention is to cover up/fix/repair or to make/create.

Considering I have found the term “繕うとしています” to be very rare (6 results on Google), and the meaning “cover up” seems to be on a social/personal level, as in “to keep up appearances”, which doesn’t seem to fit very well with the context, I was wondering what you thought on “つくろうとしています” being read as “作ろうとしています”? Also, if I’m wrong on what you meant when translating it as “cover up”, please tell me as I’m quite interested in how you got the result.

Thank you for taking the time to look over my queries.
After over a year and a half of getting into Japanese and doing translations, I realized that instead of also posting the Japanese text, I could simply just post the translation in English while saving up the Japanese text when needed.

Whether here or elsewhere like my blog, it took me THIS long to realize a lot of my workload would be done faster if I simply did what most translators do lol.
Hey! I know you’re very busy with translating, so I don’t wish to overwhelm you as well. Would it be okay if I sent a request maybe once or twice a week? I don’t expect a translation in that week of course, just to see if that makes the load easier for you! ^^

Thanks for all your help by the way.

Hi Qliphoth, the translation in this thread is kinda controversial, can you come here to check it?I think 枝 分 か れ し て る is branching out(continous tense) because the word て るis used to describe one progress, but look like some people think that it's past tense so I think a Japanese translator like you can deal with this problem
