  • Silence after one message means I missed it; silence after two means "no".
Well... I guess I can probably stop asking about how the CY-BORG verse is going. Anyway, usual list of questions on D&D
    1. I noticed that a lot of Outsiders lacked resistances on abilities their kin share, the most noticeable being fear and corruption which I presume are passives
    2. This not only affects the demons but also other outsiders with different affinities like the Modron. Since they're specifically Lawful Neutral and many of the demons can turn people evil and things like that. Even Primus has no resistances to those abilities
    3. Are the Abominations smurfs? Because I'm starting to reconsider my options with the Dream Larva
    4. What does the Dread Emperor start with? And are his haxes smurfs as well?
    5. I noticed that sometimes for the link of the justification on Magic for some of the pages, it links to Mystra's page who was described as the God of Magic on the notes. So why is it that Elder Evils sometimes come without magic negation despite its nature being divine?
    Mr. Bambu
    Mr. Bambu
    1. Everyone has resistance to those, it's just locked away down in the Standard Resistances tab. 'pologies. The sandbox cites sources for them at least.
    3. Yeah, 6-C and up are 4-D. The Abominations even specifically have god powers, since they're the bastard spawn of deities.
    4. Man. I'm going to say "give me a sec" here just to acknowledge that I need to go look that up, even though this message will reach you at the same time either way: Okay. So his favorite tactics are stat amp and then cast as many outright damaging spells as he can, preferring as much environmental damage as possible, as quickly as possible. The stat amp doubles his speed for the stat amp. OR- mass mind control. He implicitly ignores the mind control's requirement that the individual can't be forced to harm themselves as they're generally found slaughtered.
    5. Mystra is, physically, the Weave that allows magic to permeate reality by basically filtering it down from the Serpent. The Elder Evils negate one particular subsection of magic, that being Divine magic- the specific mechanics generally aren't explained, although the Elder Evils sourcebook is certainly aware of how divine magic works, as Sertrous' section specifically cites how it works. They, specifically, do not negate Arcane magic nor Primal magic.
OK, I'm currently facing a problem. What are the dimensionalities of the abilities of the Yugoloth (Charon's species)?
    Mr. Bambu
    Mr. Bambu
4-D. Everyone 6-C and up in D&D has 4-D shit scaling to Epic Level Magic. Though, I should note that certain 6-Cs are below this, albeit a very sparse few.
    Mr. Bambu
    Mr. Bambu
    OH WAIT

Okay, sorry, I read that wrong. I thought you were asking what dimensionality Charon was, as he is a unique form of Yugoloth. Rather you're asking about Yugoloth's in general.

Varies. Lesser guys are normal joes, upper guys are 4-D. That includes Charon, Anthraxus, and the General of Gehenna.
I have returned with yet another list of questions
    1. How would Dread Akünh's flower abilities interact with an undead?
    2. Is her dimension in a higher plain?
    3. What does Charon typically start with?
    4. What does Drizzt Do'Urden start with, with and without stealth?
    5. The Elder Evils' power null is merely applicable on Divine Casting or does it work on a lot of things (Including magic)?
    6. Due to the examples usually being for gods, why don't they have Subjective Reality in their list of resistances as that is the base for divine casters?
    Mr. Bambu
    Mr. Bambu
    1. Dunno. Suppose it'd depend on whether the undead has feats of resisting.
    2. Nope, not specifically stated so. No smurfs in MORK BORG.
    3. Charon's a rough bag to state that for, since he's at the point of intelligence and with such a varied moveset that he doesn't really have one set starting point. I'd say he is most motivated by the collection of souls, is the best I can do for you. This reminds me, I ought to add references to him when my crusade is done.
    4. No idea, really. Drizzt is a shitty page rn and I just wouldn't use him if I were you.
    5. Solely the Divine. If you are a deity or if your power results from a deity, passive 4-D powernull for you. Outside of their other stuff, of course.
    6. They don't really resist it so much as negate it from happening. I suppose they might resist it under a certain interpretation, if we were to assume they negged all forms of Subjective Reality that worked similarly, mechanically to divine casters. Might be a stretch, though.

Alright then, continuing with the topic of Dread Akunh, do the effects of her flowers allow her to win a battle? Because at least while reading through the scan, I didn't notice anything that takes away self-control or things like that (Like with Goblins for example). Also on the aging in reverse, does it just turn someone younger?
    Mr. Bambu
    Mr. Bambu
Some of it may well assist her, at least. Having your vision flare up with something unrelated to combat at the worst time would be a fairly severe passive effect.

Yeah, but implicitly at a normal speed. So every second, you grow one second younger. Extremely unlikely to matter in a fight, except maybe for like... maybe a unique reaction to people who gain powers over time or smth.
Congrats in the 500 pages! Also as usual, here's a list of questions
    1. If I were to one day make an in-verse match between god-tiers of D&D, would you mind helping me? Because you seem to be the most knowledgeable on the topic
    2. It says in Father Llymic's profile that he has a true form. Why does he not have Type 9 Immortality?
    3. Is his avatar a smurf?
    4. Can the Female Hulks of Zoretha function without their male?
    5. Regarding the Dream Larva's death manip, that only affects people who can see through Illusion Creation, right?
    6. Would someone with Dream Manip be able to interact with it on the account that Dream Larva embodies the concept of a dream?
    Mr. Bambu
    Mr. Bambu
    1. Eh. I just don't like matches much, least of all high-powered matches. The gods all have a relatively set power level so under a normal VS match, the most interesting ones immediately fall out- if it's a deity, we defer to their divine rank, boom, whoever is higher wins.
    2. I suppose I hadn't thought of it. I don't recall if his true form is still roaming the Far Realm or not. Father Llymic's "true form" is just him out, untethered in the Far Realm. Basically, to enter our reality (for whatever alien machinations these creatures have), they risk death by condensing themselves down to have all these pesky dimensions. So I think it's just Father Llymic, and then as he appears in the Far Realm- his true form.
    3. Yeh. It's manipulating the Far Realm passively, we just don't really know what the **** that's doing. The idea is that he is going to make the multiverse and the Far Realm occupy the exact same space, so he has 1-A shit, we just... can't discern what that hax actually lets him do.
    4. As far as I can tell, yeh.
    5. Nope. Affects everyone. Look at it and die.
    6. That's not really stated anywhere. In D&D, dreams manifest on a real, albeit abstract, level. Interacting with them is no different than interacting with an angel or demon.
    Peppersalt43
    Peppersalt43
    1. Hmm, interesting. And where do I find this divine rank?
    2. Huh, that's a good explanation
    3. OK so his smurf haxes are unknown. What are the things his avatar starts with?
    4. OK, cool
    5. The reason I asked is because of its shape-shifting meaning it's never really in its true form
    6. Ah, so I still need Abstract Existence NPI
    Mr. Bambu
    Mr. Bambu
    1. Most gods have one listed somewhere. It'd depend on the god. Divine Ranks number 0-20, with every interval of 5 representing an ascension upwards (Demigod, Lesser Deity, Intermediate Deity, and Greater Deity). Only Vecna has reached Divine Rank 20, when he battled the Lady of Pain in Sigil.
    3. If the passive freeze doesn't work, Llymic will go for implanting them with a Brood Seed, thus turning them into one of his malefic spawn. Assuming he doesn't have any allies, he specifically goes for spamming Power Null if enemies prove resistant to his cold, aside from his melee attacks and Brood Seed thing.
    5. Aye, but regardless, witnessing it at all kills you off. Book is rather specific about that.
    6. Most likely, aye.
I have now uploaded 500 pages, with Iggwilv, representing one of the most massive profiles I've ever worked on, being my 500th. Quite chuffed.
Hi Bambu, IK ur probably busy but could you re-evaluate this calc?

It's important for LS specifically, so if you could just evaluate that, then I'd greatly appreciate it.

Hah, I just noticed this is Naruto, a verse on the ban list. I've been bamboozled into evaluating one of the Cursed Ones. Whoopsie.

Yeah, there's a list of verses I vowed not to touch with a thirty-foot pole, Naruto is one of them.

I have a series of questions
    1. How potent is the ice manip of the Low 7-Bs and 6-Cs of D&D?
    2. Does Gar Shatterkeel and Ras Nsi have any skillfeats?
    3. How fast does Olhydra return to the physical plain on death?
    4. Are there any canonical fights that have happened between the god-tiers (Of D&D)?
    5. What does Ras Nsi usually start with?
    6. How fast does he resurrect?
    Mr. Bambu
    Mr. Bambu
    1. Extremely limited for those guys. The most typical spellcasters get, normally, is enough to freeze a person solid instantly. Olhydra has generally this except spread out to a much larger range, she isn't an ice elemental or anything of that sort. Her attacks just deal cold damage.
    2. Generals and warlords fall into the same category as Ras Nsi, people who personally killed thousands. I believe Daren Timbide is a good comparison. Great champions of kings and so on. Gar is a weirder case since iirc he was just a guy before being elevated to his current position. He's a skilled enough fighter, judging by his attack bonus, but I don't believe he has any claim to scaling aside from being generally above average.
    4. I see. Yeah, the gods engage in open combat super ******* often.

    Dealt with.
So, several questions for some matches I've made
    1. How good is a werecreature's damage reduction?
    2. Is reality warping on magic using creatures/spellcasters a side effect and nature of their magic (Meaning not combat applicable) or can they actually just bend reality? Because I noticed reality warping on magic users that are neither outsiders or high tiers
    3. What does Xanathon start with and what are the spells he typically uses?
    4. How's the CY-BORG verse going?
    Mr. Bambu
    Mr. Bambu
    1. A werewolf physically cannot be harmed by non-silver non-magic non-elemental means in 5e. The Tarrasque could clobber it for hours and it would still be alive.
    2. It is the method through which they use their magic, much like all divine casters also get Subjective Reality. To use magic, casters manipulate a 4-D construct (the Weave) to produce whatever effect. Spells are just individual manipulations.
    3. Xanathon revels in the fact that he cannot be harmed physically without destroying his horxcrux equivalent, so he actually tends to use melee combat and Striking spells if he is able. However, if he realizes something can indeed affect him, it states he begins slinging spells as he sees fit, doing whatever he may to save his own skin. Were I to interpret this, I'd start with higher level spells first- so, Finger of Death, Curse, and Sticks to Snakes as his offensive spells, most likely curing himself all the while. He is specifically still willing to do melee combat should it come down to it.
    4. I'm not in the middle of page creation, though running the game proceeds very well. They haven't TPK'd yet, they're now 8 days in.
Sorry to bother you, can you unlock (and give some input if you can) this few page??? We already have 2 staff approval, and 1 staff not comment about that but i think he has no problem with that

top 5 thread needs an exterminatus.
    Mr. Bambu
    Mr. Bambu
Yeah but genuinely I ain't interested in debating the Top Strongest threads anymore. I've asked a few times to just remove D&D because I'm not going to take part in threads for it, and I strongly doubt others will, and those that would probably aren't qualified. Just strike 'em off and forget 'em, I got what I came for in those bastard threads.

I can respect that bro. I have also lost interest in debating actual matches recently. Sorry to bother you Great Stone Face.

There's a reason when I'm dealing with DnD I try to make my matches that aren't top strongest thematic so I have an excuse to drag Bambu into them
    Mr. Bambu
    Mr. Bambu
It's generally preferable. Really stupid matches are also fine, like the Flumph vs Magikarp match. That was fun.
    DaReaperMan
    DaReaperMan
Tbh yeah, I try to have fun with my matches, at some point when Little and Big Waaaghs get added to the Aethyr Manipulation page Wurrzag will be very fun to make matches with because... well who doesn't like a dancing orc who happens to basically spam literally dropping a massive High 6-B foot onto you?
hello there, sorry for bothering you

for my preparation for a proposal crt regarding the bolding the P&As of a profile, I need your clarification

between this and this profile, which one do you think is better?
Hey, was just wondering if we'd be able to talk about some of the stuff regarding the scaling for the stronger DS characters at some point?
    Mr. Bambu
    Mr. Bambu
How big is the church? Do we ever get a complete outside view of it?

The problem with a lot of these really tiny shaking feats is that we can't do shit the normal way, since earthquakes give ludicrous results when applied to tiny areas.
    Omnificence
    Omnificence
Hang on, I just realized something

When dealing with Immortality Type 9 which lacks higher dimensionality, can you theoretically negate that immortality via dimensional travel? Basically go to their universe and kill the original?
Also are Outsiders in D&D smurfs? Is their universe a smurf?
    Mr. Bambu
    Mr. Bambu
Probably nothing stops that, assuming the character has the knowledge and abilities to do so. That'd include knowing about Type 9, and knowing where in that alt universe the creature is.

    Some are. Also, what?
    Peppersalt43
    Peppersalt43
Sorry I meant is their universe on a higher dimension level?
    Mr. Bambu
    Mr. Bambu
No? Qaw has a cosmology blog with a useful and simple image but no, not really. The exception is that the Abyss has a 5-D thing in it, and Mystara is more or less infinite dimensional. The Ancient Brotherhood exists on some vaguely higher level of existence. Where did you get the notion that the Outer Planes were higher dimensional realities?

EDIT: I suppose it's possible you were confused? All of these universes exist within the framework of higher realities- so like, everything exists in the Far Realm, but it's essentially a bubble set apart from the Far Realm itself. Then within this bubble exist the various Spheres with their own multiverses. Etc etc.
is it strange that how we use "high" and "+"? For eg Universe level + is superior to high universe level, but high outerverse level is superior to outerverse level +
