  • I have many responsibilities on this site, and this means I only wear each hat for as long as is necessary. Therefore, you may leave CRT/calc eval/whatever requests, and I will try to get to it, but understand that my time is limited and I'm normally already tapped for some wiki policy matter or maintaining the wiki management threads or handling account issues for users who never seem to get things right.     Hey. I kinda confused about gameplay feats from any game. Can be gameplay consider as cannon? Exmaple, Ellie can surive 1 explosive which can destroy 6 arcade machines. Also Ellie cannonically can survive an attack from Bloater who also can tank explosive as well. Ellie and Dina survived this explosion. Tlou characters are capable of crushing skulls, breaking walls and wooden barrels. So I'm just curious, can gameplay feats be used if characters cannonicaly demonstrated similar feats in terms of power? ALso on Arthur's profile he scales to 120kj because he can kill legendary bison with few hits althougt it's a freeroam.

    The way you phrase it is weird. Red Dead Redemption 2, for example: obviously the game is canon. That is the base property of the franchise (perhaps the only one; I have no idea if there are books or whatever for Red Dead). But what is technically possible mechanically will not always align with the narrative of the game (for example, I seem to recall Arthur being able to survive unrealistically close to dynamite, which is just a facet of it being a game trying to simulate reality imperfectly). This is where a bit of critical thought must be employed to parse out what seems most plausible and consistent. For example: Ellie survives her arrow, but it's aimed at her feet. Unless an enemy was shooting her with them, and she survived, I'd call this questionable. She's being knocked back but not killed, even though the same explosive arrow rips the bodies of others apart when used on its intended targets. The bloater can survive, but the bloater is also unambiguously a lot stronger than Ellie, being able to instant kill her on hit. I'd call the bomb arrow really questionable, when taking all of this into consideration.

    The Ellie and Dina one is less contextually off, though it's done through the body of the horse. I have no idea how you would get an accurate value from that.

    Crushing skulls seems unambiguously fine since that is obviously intended to work exactly like that. That is not a wall. The floor destruction seems fine, but also worth mentioning that it looks already eroded. Like if you look at it, she's being slammed into a patch that has been applied to the floor already, and it, itself, seems waterlogged and weakened.

    Scaling to an enemy that can be killed like that is totally fine.

    Yeah that's the thing I asked your opinion on this. Should Ellie still scale to this explosive anyway? Definetly not as Bloater since bloater can tank about 10+ explosives and Ellie can only 1 (All explosive genereate the same amount of energy, explosive arrows just an example because Bloater is too fast and kills me before I even craft a bomb). Also here, here, here and here Ellie and Abby are standing on bombs and survive(If you need I can send clip later both Ellie and Abby can survive pipe bombs from enemies). On this blog Jason calculated Bloaters durability to 43mj (epicenter of explosion) and 1.1mj for pipe bomb which can destroy arcade machines from several meters. Can Ellie be at least 1.1mj by this if she can harm Abby physically who suvived this at this lvl.
