No respect or care for the established lore and rules of a series is an indication of bad writing and a decline in quality.
Kinda why I dislike the recent push that few people do to not care about the lore as long as it's "fun".

I… fail to see how this is lore breaking. I mean if the show takes place hundreds of years before the prequels then what’s to say the ability to create life wasn’t simply lost to time and rediscovered by Plagueus? Also I don’t think creating life was Palpatine’s goal, he wanted to transfer his consciousness or whatever into Anakin and take the Chosen One’s body iirc.

I've never seen a franchise fall from grace as hard as star wars. I've only watched episode one and a bit of episode 2 but i can understand the problems people had with the movies post og trilogy. And hearing the reviews for all the new shows and stuff makes me just not want to check out the franchise anymore

It seems like big companies and franchises are constantly putting garbage into the market yet they don't die down. Are they too big too fail? Is capitalism failing at deciding what the free market wants? Is the government funding these companies? Am I and others actually crazy and these often criticized series actually make a lot of money?

Surely Disney made back money back via nostalgia merch sales from 2012-2017. Tho inflation wise theyd have to make 5.4 billion overall.

Apparently Lucasfilm hasn’t made a profit for Disney overall. I don’t know how much it is they need but apparently they’re still in the red from the acquisition.
