Hey Mr Bambu, sorry to bother you but you're the only staff online atm. Could you please close this thread when you get the chance? Thanks a bunch.

Hello Bambu, I have a question about one of the calcs: If I got two approvals, each with different opinions. For example, if Mod 1 agrees with the low ball and Mod 2 agrees with the high ball, what should I use? Can i use any?
    Mr. Bambu
    Mr. Bambu
Sorta sucks but you need either a greater appeal for one over the other- you can get one CGM to agree to change their position, or get more calc group people in.

also, if they were just mods and not CGMs, they can't evaluate calcs, by the way- not sure if this is the case but you using the word "mod" made me wanna make sure that was understood.

Whats the difference between cgm and mod
    Mr. Bambu
    Mr. Bambu
CGM is Calc Group Member- a specific staff role that denotes someone who is authorized to evaluate calculations. Other people can give their opinions on calcs, of course, but only CGMs can actually accept them.
Do you know how big an average medieval kingdom is?
    Mr. Bambu
    Mr. Bambu
Not remotely. Suppose it would depend greatly on whether they were ruled by a king (as implied by the name) or some lord, which would reduce the scope by a terrible amount. Britain was a kingdom, as was France.
    Omnificence
    Omnificence
So, would you recommend using either of those two countries?
    Mr. Bambu
    Mr. Bambu
No, not really, I was just offering some sense of scale for what a "kingdom" entails. Luxembourg was also a kingdom, which would be on the lower end of kingdoms that endured to the modern day. As I said, I don't really know what the average would be.
We need the calc group's opinions. Could you please leave a comment on this thread?
If someone changes a profile without a crt, but putting something simple like "willpower", is it plausible to report? Or is it too small a change?
    Mr. Bambu
    Mr. Bambu
Wdym "Willpower"- as in, adding the ability Supernatural Willpower?
    Phsccarvalho
    Mr. Bambu
    Mr. Bambu
Presuming it's not like, a brand new profile and something that was just forgotten when it was published, that requires a CRT. The user in question may not be aware but reporting it is justified.
This thread is reopened, and I have made what is my last argument unless something surprisingly groundbreaking shows up for the opposition or myself.

I assume you mean the flavor text for logging off. I don't think it has any combat applicability but Astral Projection sounds about right, or you could go with Dimensional Travel (and specify that only the consciousness can do that).
    Phsccarvalho
    Phsccarvalho
The point is that you leave the "ghost of your body" when you do this.

Wouldn't the two skills you indicated leave a physical body? Unless I can put in astral projection and say that the body left is that of a ghost.

I wonder if I can give some kind of immortality with this, since the player's consciousness goes to another plane of existence while the ghost of their body remains.
    Mr. Bambu
    Mr. Bambu
I don't know if I'd take Ghost as a literal thing here given that it's specifying that only the consciousness has left.
    Hi again

I saw you already participated in some Calvin and Hobbes threads, if there ins´t any problem, can you give your thoughts about this one?

    Accelerated_Evolution
I personally don´t care for the "Is Hobbes real or not" subject, i requested you to see the thread due to things like Calvin´s Gifted Intelligence and Physics Manipulation

If you will not see it then it´s fine
    Mr. Bambu

I have been on this wiki since 2016. I have retained my sanity for that duration of time by knowing when to cut oneself off from a verse that is represented as being so alienated from what I know to be true. This is why I made the DOOM verse page and do not engage with DOOM as a verse any longer, for example.

To a less egregious degree, Calvin and Hobbes is in this same category of purgatory verses. I will not deal in it, no- but I was sincere in offering good luck.

Hello sir, I want to ask something.

This Ice is stated as Absolute Coldness where everything turned still. As if the world stopped, seemed to freeze space and there are no fluctuations. It can stop blood flowing, freeze particles and affected soul. There was no heat, no light, no life. Anything contacts instantly froze then disintegrated or turned into nothingness.

Is it enough for Absolute Zero? or it not sufficient? Thanks.
    Mr. Bambu
    Mr. Bambu
Supernatural effects have no bearing on whether we'd call something Absolute Zero- there's ice in verses that can freeze concepts and thoughts through cold alone and still have not been considered to be Absolute Zero.

As for your question: maybe. A lot of that is the aforementioned random supernatural stuff tacked onto the core idea. Very specific words or phrases would make for better evidence- statements that it is as cold as something can get or colder than is otherwise physically possible, etc. The fact that it has all these supernatural properties make the other things that may or may not be supernatural seem less like a result of the cold and more like a result of unnatural qualities this particular cold possesses.

Hey, will I need to get more people than you to review my Thread to get it approved and if so, who are members on the forum who work on the Monster Hunter part who can approve my Thread?
    Mr. Bambu
    Mr. Bambu
Hi, sorry, I've had a lot of requests since yesterday, I will get to it.

Monster Hunter doesn't really have a super active work force (even I am only here partially, I worked on World a bunch when it came out and then never really returned). DMUA is the main staff member working on Monster Hunter but as he is a calc group member, he cannot officially evaluate threads. The other current evaluating staff who has worked on Monster Hunter in the past would be Sir Ovens.
    TheAlmightyKoals
    TheAlmightyKoals
No worries you're a mod so you being busy is understandable, also thank you for informing me of the other people who do Monster Hunter Thread reviews.
Hey Bambu, you ended up becoming my target for questions, so if this bothers you please tell me.

Anyway, on Meridian59 I made two videos defeating statues and skeletons. One had the Touch of Flame magic and a weapon.

With Touch of Flame, a vsbattle colleague of mine made this calculation.
    OK,

It took seven blows for the arm to disappear, if that power is the touch of fire:

The volume of an arm is 3958 cm³, since there is no steam, I will use melting.
Rock melting value is 6174.5 J/cc

    6174.5 * 3958 = 24,438,671 J (9-A)

    24,438,671/7 = 3,491,238.71 (9-B+)

(In the translator some "," became "." and some "." turned into ",", I don't know if that changes anything)

The question I'm unsure about is the number of hits. I'm not even close to the maximum level of this game and for example stronger fire spells (I used the most basic fire spell in the game)

And I've seen calculations in Games/RPGs that didn't use the number of hits to break something or to kill an enemy.

    Example:
Cuphead (I think the result is not divided by the number of bullets it takes the cuphead to destroy the pillar)
Hylics (I also think that the calculation does not take into account the different attacks that the enemy MAY take and in the end have their life reduced to 0 to die and disappear or liquefied as in the original calculation)

So, what should I do? Stone statues were the enemies with the greatest durability right away (because they are made of stone) to calculate.

If you are strong enough, with any weapon, attack magic (fire, electricity, acid, etc.) you can kill them and the arm and head will always disappear when they are dying.
    Mr. Bambu
    Mr. Bambu
Do we know if the statue-guy was dodging attacks there?

Failing all else, given the proximity to 9-B+, I think taking the lower end of your friend's calc is probably fine. Similar attacks that can one-shot the arm would scale to the full 9-A, since you mentioned a rather large disparity in damages and this being the weakest.
    Phsccarvalho
    Phsccarvalho
See the chat, it shows what happens.

The statue deviates from some moments. It also blocks.

Also, it took a lot longer than 7 hits, I think my colleague missed attacks in the chat. And this is for this specific fire magic, which used melting, and not physical attacks or electricity, etc.

Furthermore, it's impossible for me to test everything in the game to see what it's like. I'm not even close to the maximum level or spells and I've already played 90 hours.

That's why I asked if I could do it like Cuphead and Hylics.
    Mr. Bambu
    Mr. Bambu
We wouldn't really want you to be maximum level when testing lower-end spells, I think. Blocking similarly probably wouldn't matter (it would still be blocking with its arms), only dodging would.

You're asking if we can just use the full value, I don't think that's right. Determining the number of attacks taken would be better.
If I have a spell that makes an illusory wall of fire and another that makes illusory wounds on the target, but the damage is actually something real. Is this something more than creating illusion?

To the point of what type, there is a creature resistant to fire, but it is not resistant to illusory wall of fire because it is not resistant to illusory damage.

Illusionary Firewall: Creates an illusionary wall of fire. This wall will cause illusionary wounds to victims walking through it.

Illusionary Wounds: Causes the victim to see imagined wounds, but imagination always gives in to one's right mind, assuming one lives so long.
    Mr. Bambu
    Mr. Bambu
Subjective Reality sounds like an apt comparison. The wounds are real because the target believes they're real.
Do you have the time to review a Tier 1 CRT? Need one more staff member's input.

Do you know any other staff that may be willing to review this CRT? Besides Dark and Eliz, I mean.
    Mr. Bambu
    Mr. Bambu
I can think of some it would be funny to send this to. Tier 1 stuff has ultimately fallen out of fashion amongst the staff I know personally, so I have trouble picking any that may be more sympathetic. Agnaa probably would if he had the time, he doesn't seem to mind the jargon as much. Could try him.

    ActuallySpaceMan42
Managed to finish the CRT, so that's cool. However, there is an issue with these two calcs not being verified... So if you're interested... 1 & 2
"Unto Elder Crone Magatha of the Grimtotem,
Acting Warchief of the Horde, Garrosh Hellscream, Sends his most sincere wishes for a slow and painful death.

It has come to my attention that you have deprived me of a rightful kill. Cairne Bloodhoof was a hero to the Horde and an honorable member of a usually honorable race. It is with disgust and anger that I discover you have caused me to bring about his death through accidental treachery.

Such tactics may work well for your renegade, honorless tribe and Alliance scum, but I despise them. It was my wish to fight Cairne fairly, and win or lose by my own skill or lack of it. Now I shall never know, and the cry of traitor will dog my steps until such time as I can sport your head on a pike and point to you as the real traitor.

So...no. I will not be sending any truehearted orcs to fight alongside your treacherous, belly-crawling tribe. Your victory or your defeat is in the hands of your Earth Mother now. Either way, I look forward to hearing of your demise.

You are on your own, Magatha, as friendless and disliked as you have ever been. Perhaps more. Enjoy your loneliness." ~ Garrosh Hellscream

    Mr. Bambu
I think I will someday lose my mind on this website, but not today.
On updating the Amatsu page I definitely shouldn't be the one doing it since I know only the very basics about editing Wiki pages. It definitely should be someone with experience unless I'm expected to be the one to implement the edits to the Amatsu page due to creating the content revision.

Edited: Ignore the previous statements I figured out how to edit the Amatsu page and got it done thank you for helping me with all of this Mr. Bambu.
    Mr. Bambu
    Mr. Bambu
(Probably could've made these two a message and then a reply to that message- no harm done to me but people get touchy about that sort of thing)

It really is very simple, since it's just adding in: [[Electricity Manipulation]] ([(insert youtube link here) Produces arcs of lightning as part of many of its attacks]).

Still, I can do so if it concerns you. I'll also lock your thread.
    TheAlmightyKoals
    TheAlmightyKoals
I did not know you could reply to your own messages thanks for letting me know.
So, since the update to Amatsu has been approved who's going to be updating the page and when should it be updated? Also, can you get someone to lock the thread for the Amatsu update now that its been 48 hours with no objections.
    Hi

Since you looked the right guy to ask that:

What do you think should be done with this profile? It lacks scans and is bad formatted
    Mr. Bambu
    Mr. Bambu
I reached out to the guy who created it and put it in a sandbox for him; page has been deleted, thank you for bringing it to my attention.
You're cooking up more Baldur's Gate 3 profiles?
    Mr. Bambu
    Mr. Bambu
If you'd like, I'm not opposed. Bit profiles should be fairly easy (although Act 3 is going to be a mess).
    Tomfer
    Tomfer
All I need is the stats (AP, Speed, LS and etc) from each act and that's pretty much.
    Mr. Bambu
    Mr. Bambu
Earlier acts vary: Act 1 tends to vary between 9-B and 9-A with the greatest showings already having been made (Grym as a Low 7-B, W'wargaz as a High 8-C to 8-A). Act 2 similarly varies, obviously with Ketheric scaling much higher than his compatriot bosses here (Dame Aylin being an exception and explicit equal to Ketheric, even in his new ascended form).

Level scaling has been deemed by the D&Dbros to be a fall-back for scaling- that is, it can be used if there exists no other method of scaling. A good example of this is Grym, who is leveled atrociously low in-game and yet by all lore accounts should be at least a Low 7-B, hence his being rated as such. It is because of this that I would find it difficult to give a one-size-fits-all scale to you that matches how we currently handle D&D on the site: instead, I suggest you ask me about a character and I can offer insight specifically for that character.

As for Act 3, it is a considerably sized cascading mess, as previously mentioned. There is little uniformity to the powers and strengths of the various actors on the stage. Major characters vary from Lorroakan, who is a charlatan and specifically incapable of batting where he claims to bat (and is probably around 8-C or so) to Cazador, who is at the very least Low 7-B if not higher, to Ansur, who is very likely an ancient bronze dragon (which would make him 6-C or so). Raphael is most certainly insanely powerful, although the extent of this is not known- being the heir to an archdevil throne implies either 6-C or Low 6-B/6-B. I say all of this to illustrate the wide variety of ratings that would exist.

Speed ratings would be directly linked to AP, so I can just tell you straight up which of the speed calcs they scale to, that bit isn't a problem. LS is similarly fairly simple.
Can this count as a win for FSM's page? (Like can I add that he won the match in his profile or nah)
Weird question, but I was recently looking back at some bloodborne stuff on the wiki and saw this scaling blog you posted a while back.

Even though some of things feel outdated (like the moving of the Moon still being attributed to Rom) I was wondering if you had any thoughts on what from this thread would still be valid. I’m planning on hopefully contributing more to the Bloodborne pages in general soon.
    Chritin
    Chritin
Fair. As of now, I really just had ideas for calculating other feats that probably wouldn’t add new tiers, but just reinforce existing ones. For example, Rom’s Metors, Ebrietas’s a call beyond, etc. I also wanted to take a look at Amygdala’s laser attack, since I recently found in the strategy guide it is quite literally made of light. Anyways, thank you for the confirmation.
    Mr. Bambu
    Mr. Bambu
Note that for higher statements (such as light speed stuff) we have a fairly high ceiling of evaluation- even if it says light, how we'd regard it may not be as light speed. Amygdala's laser seems to me like something we would say "this doesn't act like light, it's not light".

Still, I welcome Bloodborne work, do feel free to reach out to me for calc help and evaluation. It is my favorite video game of all time (or, at least, wrestles for that title with Darkest Dungeon).
    Chritin
    Chritin
Can’t say I’ve played the other two, but Bloodborne is certainly my own as well. I’ll keep you in the loop.
