In phantom's defense (kind of), we now have something of a clear and undeniable strike and at least Peter could get a superior tier with whatever that gauntlet is. I say "could" because, again, it depends on the context of the movie and it's entirely possible Hulk has been weakened or might even try to restrain himself, after all it's entirely possible he's under mind control and struggling to get free.

Just realized something. Recently, My Adventures with Superman got its third season released and it's still going. And next week, we get a new Spider-Man movie on July, 29th and the second season of Batman Caped Crusader on July, 30th. Arguably the three most popular superheroes of all times are getting new stuff released the same month almost at the same time. Kind of funny to that it starts with the strongest (Superman) down to the powerless guy (Batman), who are arguably the first two full-blown superheroes. Thought it was funny to point out (granted I'll admit I'm much more excited for CC than BND since I'm much more of a Batman fan, and it helps they're introducing the clown in his Golden Age form this season, but this is very funny overall)

we have shots of hulk in BND and he’s arguably the biggest he’s ever been in any movie if he was weakened why would he grow and not be small like professor hulk

What would this be, like 8-B? (Apparently this is from the Iron Man 2 novel)

While I do think most of the novelizations and junior novelizations are reliable for scaling, the IM2 novel might be questionable for me because they make Vibranium the new element in that one

optional equipment at best.
Phantom literally thinks its scales to his base strength lol

I saw the trailer when I went to Odyssey last night. "No Banner. Only Hulk" is the real line for the table turn around with lip movement and everything this time. So there appears to be zero way to cope here. Its all out Hulk against Spidey. Notably in the turn around shots he's still wearing his web shooters. So he might have surpressed or "gotten over" the mutation and might not get an amp at all.

Again, we're gonna wait for the film to come out. Just because an advert is hyping us up for Hulk doesn't mean we can start scaling

I also wanna remind everyone that there's like, one random Shang-Chi commercial that legit tries to scale the rings over Iron Man and Hulk, but there's a reason we don't take that random ad to face value for a ton of reasons

Also, "No Banner. Only Hulk" has zero scaling implications. It's also just a lie if you take it 100% literal, because we literally know Bruce Banner himself is in the film. Whether or not that line is in the final cut of the film won't be important

Idk why you're saying "zero cope" too when all we've seen of Peter attacking in teasers so far is explicitly him using a tech gauntlet that obviously wouldn't give him base physicals scaling. I also don't know why people are focusing on Spider-Man vs the Hulk and not addressing The Hand ninjas-shaped elephant in the room, because all the scenes where Spider-Man is fighting The Hand ninjas him being in a mid-diff fight, but y'all won't take that out of context because it doesn't support Tier 6

Tier 6 Hand>Tier 6 Daredevil🔥

so what is this site's consensus for thor's power levels between infinity war and endgame because the Russo's say Thor was stronger than ever in endgame and Hemsworth said that he was weaker in endgame iirc and there's an obvious difference in performance from Thor between those two movies that created this debate, so I I dunno if there's a consensus here

His profile has that Hemsworth statement so i guess the site accepts he is weaker but they have the same key so i would assume there isn't much of a difference between them. Off site i've been told eg novel also has statements implying he was weaker and that the Russo statement was refering to his character rather than power.

Trailer thoughts:

--Thor being front and center is peak
--Shang-Chi and Gambit are going to be best friends
--RDJ actually sounds perfect as Doom and his armor design is perfect
--It feels more like the earlier four teasers in terms of scope, and I feel they should have shown a little more about the incursions to give a sense of ticking time bombs, but I liked it. It's impossible to match the hype of the first Infinity War teaser but my wife and I will definitely be seeing this in theaters at least once

Just watched it. We didn't see much but enough. RDJ seems to actually be really good as Doom. That finger move makes the trailer, it's absolutely perfect for me. Also, Thor returning to the front page so to speak and being apparently the one to lead the effort is chef's kiss.
Agreed on all points

Just saw the Doomsday trailer

Maybe i've just become cynical lol. Compared to stuff like Infinity War and Endgame it is certainly lacking. The CGI and lighting when Doom blocks Thor with a finger looks bad and with the film only 5 months away i'm really doubtful they are going to be making major changes. It's just a trailer anyways so i'm hopeful.

Have fun with my joke

Is hulk bigger then he was in the previous movies?
He doesn't have a bulge this time though.

I find the discussion around Hulk in BND kinda funny. Hulk has Schrödinger's height ig. But in all seriousness, Marvel is known for playing fast and loose with the trailer visuals sometimes for extra hype.

I still remember how Red Hulk was front and center in Captain America 4 trailer, with like five seconds of screen time. Or Hulk fighting in the Infinity War trailer in scenes that must’ve been cut. Will Spider-Man be able to hurt the Hulk in his base … maybe with all the talk of him further mutating. But besides the hype, it’s hilarious seeing debates already starting for something not released yet.

I’m even sadder for the Hulk fans out there. Whether he easily wins or not, doesn’t change the fact that he’s consistently looked worse since Thanos lobotomized defeated him in hand to hand.

Okay so Marvel published a poster for Doomsday, here it is.

Saw it in an article from an online journal in my country (France) and apparently, people have made some theories about it. Here's a little summary:

- The angelic figures of a woman and a child are obviously representing Doom's family, which he apparently lost in a mysterious accident, and his driving plan in the movies would be to find a way to bring them back including by wrecking havoc to the Multiverse. The article interestingly notes the two figures somehow look like Sue and Franklin, hence why Doom was in Sue's apartment at the end of First Steps;

- The planet below the figures is very likely to be Battleworld, perhaps created after Doom failed to bring his family back and decided to create his own new world from the universes he broke apart in his quest;

- If you look closely in the background on the right side of the tapestry, you'll notice a character with an arm raised in a pose that look strangely like Tony when he defeated Thanos and his army with his own snap in Endgame. According to the theories, this might suggest Tony's snap somehow caused Doom to lose his family, which would give him a personal reason and desire for revenge to go after the Avengers as he holds them responsible for his loss. This actually lines up with an interview with The Times in 2025 with the two directors saying there's a connection between Tony's death and Doom.

Also, the finger blocking shot on Doom's gauntlet reveals some strange symbols on it, seemingly runes. Combined with the logo of the movie resembling the Sanctum Sanctuary's glasses and the poster itself giving off a mystical vibe, it's all but confirmed Doom will use Magic as part of his arsenal.
