No rest for the wicked.

What Is This
Be My Rimworld Pawns is a series of threads in which I, Bambu, ask you to create characters for my use in the popular colony management video game, Rimworld. Because the game has an immense amount of individuality amongst its characters, this allows for a very large degree of individual customization. No two pawns are alike, and subtle differences can result in vastly different lives. So it is that I have asked the community of VS Battles Wiki to, at times, generate their own characters ("pawns", as they are called); when they do so, their pawn is added to my game. I use the pawn within the parameters given to me to the best of my ability, and report the antics of this pawn-avatar back to their creator here.

This has gone on awhile now, and even has an associated verse on FC/OC following its history. Every single submitted colonist receives their own page detailing their stats, so... if you submit, I will make that for whatever you come up with!

How Do I Enter?
Well. As said above, your part in this is to create a character (a "pawn"), which I will use- no matter how fantastic, or dogshit. The only requirement is that they must have at least one positive and at least one negative element, be it a skill they're really good/bad at, or a good trait (like Tough) or a bad trait (like Depressive). You have two options for how to do this.
  • Describe them! They can be a version of yourself or simply a character you have created. If you'd like to describe them in game terms, they would have a xenotype (or be a baseliner), childhood and adult backstory, skill passions, and possibly some traits. If you describe them in abstract, I will create them to the best of my ability within the parameters you describe, and fill in the blanks if I get nothing: this can be as hands-on or as vague as you want it to be. I ask that you give them a name. If you had characters from other seasons, name 'em something different.
  • Take this Form I wrote up to create your character with greater customization. I advise that you remember that every pawn submitted is a soldier: they can be as suckass a soldier as you like (and, to an extent, I like that), but ability for combat may have an above average value rate in this save.

"Season 4.5"?
Last season had a tough break. Season 4 was killed, ultimately, by a pretty hefty malfunction with my PC that put it out of commission for several months. Upon returning, major updates to the game had happened, and one mod (which was pretty significant) had deprecated, which basically means it no longer matched the versions of the game. For those unfamiliar with modding, this makes running the game very dicey and untenable, as it would simply break. Removing mods mid-save is unadvisable. And so Season 4, wherein we were a drug-peddling mafia space collective, fell to the earth as Lucifer did, and into Hell. Season 4.5 will offer a chance to redo that, though it will be a different premise.

One mourns the past but cannot change it, so we carry on, resolute.

The Lore
The year is 5682. It has been over a century since the Molokarian Accord came to represent a beacon of the Imperium of Kospos' upper ranks, with most members of the Accord going on to live in infamy. Among them, one man ruled as Praetor and eventual Stellarch for the Imperium's cause, commanding bio-genetically mutated soldiers while he himself remained pure, unedited.

Comiphor, the ex-lord of the Accord, yet lives. The Imperial Psycasters have unnaturally extended his lifespan tremendously, and in truth, he remains young despite his age of nearly two hundred years. He has served in all manner of offices, and now it falls to him to serve that most central task yet again: damning the enemies of the Imperium to death.

On the former Urbworld of Lemos, war has reduced the planet to a Rimworld, in which the last vestiges of its cities struggle to survive amongst a conflict that has decimated it over and over for two decades. The forces of the Imperium rattle the earth against the forces of the Colonization Front, a hostile foreign power seeking independence. It has thus far succeeded in liberating itself from four dozen star systems. It now lashes out at Lemos. It is to Lemos that Comiphor will be sent, one Commissar amongst hundreds.

The death toll of the Battle of Lemos (for it is, indeed, one raging battle) has now reached 217 million combined-- including hostile and civilian casualties. The displaced populations of the world have long gone, and those who remain form vestige societies of limited means in the ruins of their homes. It will fall to Comiphor to finally shatter the Colonization Front's grip on the world and restore it to Imperium control.

TL;DR: Comiphor (named for his creator, @Comiphorous), a central character of Season 1 who served as the colony's leader and ruler during its meteoric ascent, is back. These events take place over 100 years after S1's colony, with Comiphor called to serve in part of taming the battlefield-planet of Lemos. To translate: this will be a decidedly violent Season. If Season 4 was Schedule 1, Season 4.5 is Warhammer (remarkably devoid of the many, many, many Warhammer mods; we even had one in Season 4, but absolutely none here, iirc).

Our goal will be to assist in the war effort and quell hostile leaders of the colonization forces invading the Imperium of Kospos' territory.

The Cast
Applicants and their characters shall be listed below.
  • Comiphor, a high-ranking Imperial warlord and politician (@Comiphorous)
  • Kibble, a battlefield courier pulled from an agri-world to serve in the war (with a gas mask) (@Arceus0x)
  • Warlock, a near-mute career badass bodyguard (@Topaz404)
  • Gnawer, a defunct line of super-soldier bred (disastrously) to possess psychic powers; he has now been sent to die to eliminate his kind (@Tllmbrg)
  • Titter, the descendant of criminals sent to battle to serve his family's collective sentences (@Shadowslash125)
  • Cheevler, a Geist assassin-servant so dedicated to the House of Cheevler (of Epicurius fame) that she took their name and represents them on Lemos' battlefields (@Epiccheev)
  • Bombardo, a Hussar soldier and gunsmith previously employed in the private sector, now consigned to government warfare (@Lawiegg)
  • John, a ******* accursed beast (@FinePoint)
  • Turks, an enlightened warrior with high intelligence skills, probably already a petty officer plucked to serve under Comiphor (@Rakih_Elyan)
  • Quiet Void, a native to the space stations orbiting Lemos previously assigned to recon and intelligence; following the decommissioning of his station due to a catastrophic structural error, he was assigned to ground combat as a sniper (Saruchi)
  • Saphir, a reincarnated woman who joins the battle to inflict revenge against those who tore her life apart (Pyat Devyat)
  • Spearhead, the opposite to Tllmbrg's failed experimental soldier; he is a cyborg current-gen experimental supersolider who needs copious drugs to survive (Llamas)
  • Arsenal, a Geist assassin who joined the war as a mercenary (@Da3ggman)
  • Frogman, a ship cracker who joined the war as a combat pilot and engineer, having been added to Comiphor's unit from the Imperial Navy (@PsychoWarper)
  • Scutum, an ex-gladiator from Lemos who joined the Imperium when the war broke out (@Armorchompy)
  • Paige, a quiet, recent recruit to the battalion serving as a quartermaster (@Andytrenom)
  • Scooper, one of a new line of gene-clones of old Imperial heroes, sent to Lemos to be tested in the fire of war under one of the very heroes of the Imperium he was sculpted after (@Crabwhale)
All characters (at their start) can be found here

God is back baby! My poor child was put in stasis ever since season 1.
For your pawn, I plan to basically try to redo him as best as I can from memory/using his FC/OC page as a reference (perhaps with some skill degradation from years spent, no doubt, in utter opulence; excluding social, since that has probably been his bread and butter for the better part of a century).

That said, if you have any changes you'd like to make, you should suggest 'em.

The rules of reality dictate all female characters of mine must be retconned and erased forever. Message received.

Also what the **** Bambi is Hamwarmer 4000???????

I'll probably make something today.

Now that this is made, when are we getting the annual anime thread?

**** it, go for it
Honestly not much, I just want em to have a gas mask or something along those lines. If they take it off whatever. Otherwise nothing else, generic white dude could work unless you have some other idea.

one of the mods I have on is to allow some customization to visuals without changing appearance; thou shalt have thy gas mask ****** fallout reference

Oh yeah forgot to mention, submitted Topaz again
Or, well, his new reincarnation (i feel like i couldve gotten away with time-travelling his ass or something to this one lol)

As Gnawer, I hope to gnaw all over the enemies.

Another Cheevler will be delivered by cosmic corks later this day
Edit: all right, google form complete (beware, lots of text)

  • Xenotype: Buzzer
  • Backstories: Reclusive Child, Psychiatric Patient
  • Skills: Burning passion in Intellectual and Artistic
  • Traits: Abrasive, Annoying Voice, Too Smart, Quick Sleeper, Psychically Hypersensitive, Industrious, Great Memory

Born deep in the slop mines on a utopian glitterworld where powerscaling and battleboarding reigned supreme, John was a prodigal child for his ability to insert top-tier VSslop into any and all conversations regarding fictional characters. He consumed endless slop and was admired for it by his peers.

However, upon being promoted to the prestigious position of Slop Moderator on his favorite site, VSSlopWiki, all the power and wealth went to his head and he quickly went mad.

After being given numerous chances in the Slop Violation Reports Thread, it was finally decided that he had crossed the cringe threshold, and was banished to the nearest urbworld. Unable to communicate via any means other than battleboarding jargon, he was quickly deemed clinically insane, and booked into a cruel asylum where he was denied even the most basic comforts, such as the ability to argue all day with strangers on the internet.

One fateful night, him and a group of slop-enthusiasts created OCs so powerful that they broke the boundaries between reality and fiction, and were able to free them from their confinement. For a short moment, they lived as gods- but then tragedy.

Even their own OCs found them simply insufferable to be around, and so John and friends were banished once again, scattered to random worlds on the rim.

Devastated, John committed himself to the first colony he saw, determined to research interstellar travel and find his long-lost friends. Of course, despite his massive brain gained from years of battleboarding, he never got any better at socializing, and certainly has never been in a fight. He will need to find a way to do his research in peace, without upsetting the nearest colonist who has ever touched grass, lest they beat his ass and kill him.

My end decision on this: this is just a ******* around, fun and game thread, but I still would prefer to know who I'm reporting the Silly Actions to. "Pyat Devyat" is free to contact me via Discord or PM in order to sign up (they can remain anonymous afterwards). Because like. What if I hate them? :)

  • Taper, a villager whom I have no idea how they wound up in the current conflict who is only good at art (@Agnaa)
I learned this is not Agnaa, but rather someone pretending to be Agnaa, so ???

Taper is erased from history.
