The translations are taking so long I wonder if the next chapter will come out before they finish, hah. It's a shame that the old fan translation team has fallen apart. Feels like a metaphor for how things are going.

They don't seems to have any clear direction to follow, unlike all previous arcs. They ruined void arc with redraw and now its just feels like whatever. Not to mention js how ******* slow it is.

It's a good design, but I don't like what they're going for with Wavy in the manga. They got rid of the battlesuit completely (or at least any visible parts), and in the newer chapters they gave her a corset and made her look more human.

I would disagree, I think the direction is very clear. In fact it's clear to the point that Murata can rapidly adapt the webcomic chapters (which you will notice are also very short at 15-20 pages) without any narrative adjustments. We've established the Neos as a competitor to the HA, now it's time for the Neos to gain more and more influence over the HA as despair sets in there and the nefarious true nature of neos is gradually revealed in their attempts to do justice.

Lots of big fights are right around the corner, Suiryu vs. Garou, the 5 dragon events, various Neo debuts, the death of Zaedats and Infelsinave, etc etc. While I'd like to whine about how long we had to wait to get to this point because of the mysterious redraws, I am quite happy with the manga itself as a finished product.

Still, us webcomic readers who have had the double privilege of experiencing events in the webcomic and expecting a parallel but completely altered narrative in the manga are out of luck because we're adopting things 1:1. My expectation is that as we get deeper in the NEOs arc and begin approaching the Webcomic's current chapters (156) ONE will begin adding more manga exclusive content in order to prevent the manga completely catching up to the webcomic.

I think the biggest thing is how demoralizing Season 3 was. The first half of the Monster Association IMO had some of the best action + narrative in the series so far. To see an extremely low quality budget break all sense of immersion the story had and create a tidal wave of hate reaching far beyond the fandom is really saddening for me

There is a pretty clear direction of what the arc is setting up, the question now remains wheter it will be a 1:1 of the webcomic from now on (bad) or not (good)

I'd be fine with weekly, 17 pages(Like most manga series). But 15-20 pages biweeky is too slow for the manga.
Yeah, this is where we run into the issue that Murata is involved in like 5 projects at once and he deliberately simplified his shading process in order to speed up how much time he dedicates to the manga about 4 years ago. I think Murata's really limiting how much time he spends on OPM atm so he can start up new things like his anime production etc.

For what Recon said about manga-exclusive content, I honestly won't expect much until we get DEEP into the neo-heroes arc. I mean they didn't even bother altering Lightning Core Genos getting messed up by a "particularly powerful demon", so that's a pretty low bar for shaking things up.

Translations for the chapter dropped.

It's stated that Great Philosopher is the top physical fighter in the A-Class, which scales him quite high. Bare minimum around the level of those "close to S-Class" heroes that Garou fought or even Snek and Lightning Max.

It's then stated by Great Philosopher that the Neo Fizzy Boys are each individually superior to Great Philosopher despite having been C-Class heroes in the Hero Association. That would mean that most Neo Heroes grunts would be 7-C.

I wonder if Wavygyaza actually has psychic abilities. That would be sick.

Elimin and Destro look human despite having more cybernetic enhancements. Why would she look any different?

Despite the simple monster designs in this chapter, I really like them.

It was also kind of fun to see Genos's grateful reaction to the quality of Kuseno's cyborgization when he saw Wavygaza's condition.

Because Wavy's described as a being like a doll, straight up looks less human in her first appearances, and has modified her body with the intention of becoming the world's greatest idol.

Also, your premise is flawed. For one thing, I did not say she looks outright inhuman, I said she looked less human originally. For another, Elim and Destro do not look like normal dudes; Destro looks spooky, and Elim looks to be made of spare parts.

her being a doll
My mistake on the doll thing. I think I my mind was conflating Bofoi's statement about Brave Giant with Wavy just because of Child Emperor.
less human
No, they don't say she looks less human (they don't really comment on her appearance beforehand), I'm saying I liked how her design was a bit less human in her initial chapters.

Anyway, I'm going to do something else.
PresentTrunks vs PresidentTrumps
There's been discussion on what warrants death threats recently with Recon and DBZ. I think we can agree that your comment warrants death threats.

Yes, I'm kidding.

Drawing her as less human in situations that doesn't call for it is a bit of a waste, don't you think?

So Great Philosopher is physically stronger than (base) Sweet Mask?
