GOATED THEME IS BACK LFG

THE GOAT

The drawing quality looks good. I love the thick line work, remind me of early my hero academia artstyle.

I got bored.

I've just noticed that in the webcomic Fubuki is the one that causes an earthquake in the Hero Association instead of Apollo, an earthquake that is at least a 6 on the Shindo scale.

and how much is that?

I’m actually happy knowing that so many are hype for opm anime once again. Opm sure has some loyal fans and haters.
Considering just how HORRIBLY the anime has been treated/neglected, it's amazing that people are still willing to give it a chance, or even have the slightest interest. I used to be (and still kinda am) the biggest OPM fanboy and even I completely lost interest in the anime. Goes to show just how good the series really is, but also how tragic it is that it could've been so much bigger if the anime was adapted properly. I saw the teaser trailer a few days ago and while the art has improved, the animation still looks like PNGs being dragged around.

Also, this is off topic, but am I the only one who can't see the subscriber count for the One Punch Man subreddit?

For me it's just been consistently going down.

Idk how so many people switched up at the last trailer. It was just as bad as the previous one. They really just switched filters and somehow people think it's saved? Lmao.

It's never going to be as good as S1 unless every star under the sky realign the same way.

But it might be slightly better than S2, at least based on visuals/character design alone. All i ask is they don't make a lot of action scenes as character pngs slapped in high intensity backgrounda with effects added on.

I have considerable confidence that it will be better than season 2, despite what we've seen so far, but I don't think it will come close to what season 1 was...

Meanwhile the JJK anime has OPM season 1 level quality for every season, and they're released so fast... JJK fans are truly spoiled. The manga isn't even that good (pls don't kill me)

Yeah but Gege was atleast consistent even if he isn't a top tier artist.

JJK has steady funding plus it's more popular.

JJK has also sold 3x the amount as OPM. Most companies are going to put more effort into the product that gives them more money.

Pretty sure the reason it sold so much is because of anime in the first place. And you are comparing 2015 anime against 2020 anime. Anime fandom grew many-fold during that timeframe

I don't see it that way. JJK had already doubled OPM's sales back in 2021 and has only gone up since them. Even before the anime was released in 2020 JJK was having 400% growth rates for manga sales and had over 15 million copies sold by the end of the year (which is half of OPM's lifetime sales).

OPM just isn't as popular as JJK nor does it sell as much.

OPM's lifetime sales were matched by just the 2021 sales of JJK. Like its not even the anime, its just in general OPM doesn't sell as much.

It's anime and the magazine they were released on.
Anime season interval took too long for OPM whilst JJK had weekly schedule and consistent volume release, the anime interval won't take that long so the fans stayed and bought the books.
OPM is the most sold manga on Tonari magazine

JJK anime came out right around COVID times, when anime was absolutely skyrocketing in popularity.

It had perfect timing alongside an amazing Studio adaptation and a weekly manga that was already successful.

One-Punch Man was one of the most popular series in 2015, but anime was less popular. And the manga wasn't in something as big as weekly Shounen jump. It also had less content and was a monthly/bi-monthly release. Then you had radio silence on the sequel until the 2019 anime which was just a total disaster.
