Like Superman, in any ordinary moment has a set limit of how "full" his solar cells can be, but sundipping removes those limits, giving him surplus energy and an altered state that he says makes him more than whole.

Those are consistent, though, it's not mixing, it's showing consistency.
Both Post Crisis and New 52 state that he has a set limit of how much energy he has and sundipping removes that limit.
Here, using just Post Crisis: Swamp Thing 79, he states he's getting a full charge to be at 100%. Mentions having a maximum strength here. Mentions having full power here. (Superman #82) Mentions having a maximum charge here (Adventures of Superman 504). Mentions having a peak power while fighting Mongul (Superman vol 2 #32)

I might be wrong but feel free to correct me but this interaction and conversation with Alexander, it should explain a possible reason why.
• Alexander theorised he's changed at his "very core". With Alexander believing it's either by where he was taken (Speed force) or by the "Energy armour".
• Him being charged passively by the armour 24/7 that feeds him Solar Energy.
• Being trapped in the "Speed force" for that long of a time must have affected his Physiology.
• Him simply being from Earth-Prime.

So if I remember correctly: when Crisis on Infinite Earths happened, Superboy-Prime was in some sort of dimension where he was unaffected by the rebooting of the multiverse.
He's basically the same character as he was in the Pre-Crisis continuity, only now in the Post Crisis and beyond continuity.

Lobo will apparently use Bane's Venom to power-up himself into a self-healing villainous Hulk version, so I think that the final fight will be between him and Superman for as high stakes as possible.
Although Zatanna hates Lobo due to once thinking that Lobo killed her father Zatara's spirit, so their fight should technically end with her transforming Lobo into someting harmless and erasing him from existence. But this is a Superman event, so even though Zatanna, Captain Atom, Swamp Thing, and Wally West (who is absent for some reason, likely due to outmatching everybody else, or because he considers himself a liability due to being somewhat corrupted in the past) should be the most powerful, he will likely win in the end, especially if somebody has to avoid being corrupted by the omega energy and face Darkseid in combat.

Cause I've known him to be one of the most busted characters in DC especially looking at all the high tiers he's destroyed or needed help taking him down over the years.
