sure you did, you beat the cancer :)

(most of your life is spent cooking and farming anyways, I'd say on average you tend to be in a better mood than most of the colony)
I feel like Povar will end up in a ship of Theseus situation. A happy ship of theseus but one none the less.

YEAAA

NO! NO! NO!
dude I was so ******* mad

there were so many things I was having you not do so you could make the statue, it took so many bricks

and they just ******* busted it up

I don't even know why, they destroyed turrets and shit but that makes sense, they're enemies. why did they hate the statue.

also I'm currently in the process of deciding which of you will be a Mechanitor, I think robot gangsters are inevitable. we need more manpower (robotpower) to defend our shit. I will inform you which one of you will lead the robot legion (the meta option is probably Eldritch, though)

@PsychoWarper and @FinePoint started beating each other up at the dinner table. Somehow Point was getting in a lot more hits on Xol, but Xol was wearing proper armor and was not a wimp, so when he did hit, it hurt more. A lot more, in fact, because he mangled Point's eye beyond recognition. This will now cost us some fairly valuable resources to fix.
Hehehe

Yknow, normally, i would really wanna be the Mechanitor, but since im already the Capo Dei Capi, hey, someone else should have it-

if nobody else mentions direct interest, you shall be Don Mechanitor- you're a crafter, makes you a good choice for it anyways.

good news! I am out of work for a month and will thus have a lot more free time!

bad news! it is because I had surgery and everything is painful and shaky so I'll probably do a little bit less Rimworld until everything is not painful and shaky!

Sounds not that good man. Good luck use your pain meds in moderation (and only take them with water).

Nothing a little glitterworld medicine can't fix.

Hey, take all the time ya need to recover. Well wishes coming your way!

I'm not reading six pages but I'm guessing this is the current state.

with the recession of agony, surgery and sickness dwindling low, I once again subject myself to the rigors of running the Space Mafia

I have no memory of what the **** I was planning or doing in the recesses of my mind so we will just see what happens, shall we?

  • As I return, @PsychoWarper is finishing up the remaining bits of our perimeter defenses, which is to say the small turrets and barricade points I've erected around our colony. I am unused to playing with such an open floorplan, so these are ramshackle at best, but it should do for now.
  • Meanwhile, @Phoenks has finished research on complex vehicles; we can likely begin working on a formal vehicle workshop and garage now. I don't intend for anything on par with the last playthrough's VTOL warships, but some cars would be very nice.
  • @Lawiegg lives on a bed and does not move anymore. Maybe someday.
  • Our first shipment of drugs made by one of our settlements came in. Unfortunately the game has a loosey-goosey interpretation of what a "drug" is, and thus delivered us 22 orders of dalgona coffee (read: coffee with a lot of sugar). Pain.
  • @DMUA is making friends with our guests :)
  • @Topaz404 is rapidly improving as a psychic, such that I have decided to increase his meditation time to about 8 hours a day. He's putting in a shift under the eternal rainfall, praying to a statue of a fox for better combat skills. Such is life on the Rim.
  • I had Azure404 fight a raptor shrimp. Little ******* are tougher than they seem. He won but he got more beat up than I would have expected, chiefly from a stab through his left hand.
  • @Crabwhale killed a horde of mad alpacas. Not much else to report on that one. @DMUA assisted but got there a bit later because his sword is heavy as **** and slows him down. Need to figure out a way to make him faster. @Epiccheev intervened and stole the final kill of the bunch (there were 8).
  • @Armorchompy lacks a digestive system but does not allow that to stop him from enjoying a night of binge drinking all of our carefully crafted tequila and beer. I was really micromanaging what he was doing and that guy went for a beer like six times.
  • We've researched mecha gear and combat vehicles... I don't know how the **** the mech stuff works but the mech mafia sounds funny so maybe we'll do that. We're advancing in research faster than we can build the infrastructure to work on it, so. It might be awhile before we have a mech.
  • @Shadowslash125 continues to churn out drugs and- seemingly preferred- alcohol. With our food situation largely stabilized, he has turned to making and mixing large volumes of booze as a form of passion.
  • Maybe the game detects that my capacity for stress is lowered because the raids they're throwing are really petty. After the alpacas, we were attacked by angry boars. Maybe it's just Randy Random giving me a break. @Arceus0x was moderately wounded but did not allow this to stop him from immediately picking up one of the corpses after combat to go butcher and cook it. The Criminal Cook's work is never finished.
  • @Epiccheev was beat up by an elephant when I shot it to get it away from our crops. He's fine but it got one really nasty hit in on his torso- if it had been any other body part it may have broken.
  • @Rakih_Elyan continues to experience a form of living hell in which he is not allowed to murder people he doesn't like much. He has had two mental breaks since I came back- one in which he just sulked in his room and one in which he began to attack anyone around. This included Ronove, the little impid child we rescued, whom he beat within an inch of their life before running off to find his next victim. His next victim was unfortunately (for him) @DMUA, who then beat him up and knocked him unconscious. Ronove is fine.
  • @FinePoint is actually doing pretty well. We've brute forced his crafting skill up to like 7, which means he can do most normal tasks with consistency. He's still a horrible pawn but he is able to contribute and his quality of life is high enough that he rarely crashes the **** out. Heavy amounts of lavish meals and gorgeous rooms and comfortable beds do a lot.
  • @PsychoWarper is now leading the construction of that garage. To start with I'd like to create a few simple vehicles just for ground transport and movement of goods- I envision us creating large stockpiles of drugs and then taking them to towns to sell them directly rather than waiting for traders to come to us. So we'll want trucks. I've now seen what the map vehicles look like and they're ******* huge- big enough to be roving bases, essentially. Maybe we'll do one of those later.

Dont remember becoming a psycaster, i think you have VPE on? What path is he going down?

what do you mean the joke character has been made into a contributing member of society-

Warlord for now, think I mentioned an interest in taking him down the crafting one (can't recall the name, maybe Technomancer?) later on.

I'm surprised too. If I can just find a way to glue him to the crafting spots he does alright. Shame about the permanent mood debuff for taking drugs, and the permanent mood debuff he takes when he doesn't take drugs, though.

Yeah Technomancer would be pretty great, use that juice to make all the weapons better. fire path would also be dope lol

Whats the numbers? I would just take the lower mood malus (if its the same then uh- i guess have him have some. Yknow what. he can be the quality tester. We dont wanna sell bad product after all

We're back supernova

I know I posted this on your server but the notion is truly relevant here

the rare Vlad W...

my computer committed honorable harakiri shortly after my desire to rimworld again returned so I am working on getting it fixed. for now the world is in limbo.
Well, thats unfortunate. Lets hope you can get it back in working order soon

Do I still get paid?
Actually do androids get paid

I may make another, I just wondered if people would get fatigued by them since. This one got cut short by my computer's assassination, and now the game is all the way in 1.6.

Topaz must suffer more. Besides, with 1.6, that could make the base really interesting (and all the new mods)

Maybe. Was thinking my next run I'd try another Combat Extended bit, with all those Dead Man's Switch mods for mechs. Mech combat everywhere. Just lots of mechs. But I don't even know if DMS is compatible with CE, haven't checked in on Rimworld in a bit.

I think it is? Combat Extended has had a lot of time to update and get compatible with everything that it used to be good with (im pretty sure, anyways)

If another season is done, Comiphor will return in his glory and attempt to become god again. (Proud of him even today)

would be kinda slick to have Comiphor return for a season. he'd be like... an old man, kept alive by the occasional stolen-years-via-psycasting, commanding a group of soldiers on a world deadlocked between colonization forces and the waning Imperial regime. could be cool. I'll think about it.

yeah. **** it.

KwzSlWm.png

I dunno when I'll get to it but for now, I'm gonna put together a modlist. if you have a suggestion, go for it. I've chosen a decidedly bleak storyline to play out this time. sorry for the death of Season 4 again, may this (eventually) make up for it.
