Iirc Boros also has the surface wiping statement in the wc. Granted Space Brave Giant's landing is still the best shown on screen feat.
It isn't a surface wiping statement tho, it's only a Saitama wiping statement but if we use the name of the move as statement..

It's genuinely insane how the webcomic just somehow carries more hype than the manga with every release.
OPM currently mostly follows the webcomic. Everything is what we know that will happen(currently).

While everything from the webcomic is new content.

It's more than that, but hard to explain. There are multiple different factors, not just the fresh content.

I think the main thing is that the webcomic has never really been a disappointment. We have expectations, we have standards, and the webcomic has ONLY ever delivered or surpassed them in my opinion. With the manga people seem to constantly be dreading the next big mistake, or another redraw. The webcomic doesn't have that and cuts off the fat of the steak, we just get plot progression and good character writing back-to-back, with decent action as long as you don't hate the art style.

I'm not saying the webcomic is better than the manga in every way. But I think the webcomic has special traits the manga doesn't just not have, but can't have by nature of what it is. The webcomic is endearing and simplistic, it gives us entertainment and beloved characters, and that's all we really want out of OPM at the end of the day.

I think that was mistranslated. I remember bringing it a long time ago and someone putting both WC and Manga Boros' phrase, which was exactly the same I think
You are correct. The Webcomic and Manga have 1:1 wording for Boros. "星の表面を消し飛ばしてやる" where he says he'll destroy the surface of the planet.

I have yet to see the webcomic generate as much discussion as it did when Empty Void slashed the HA, not even the Boros reveal came close.
Well I just don't agree with that. Do you mean for powerscalers here specifically? You know we represent a small fraction of the community right.

Holy Shit! Holy ****!

I already knew this was peak, but now with the context... Anyway, now we are sure that Bofoi is not the real villain of this situation, Drive Knight must be the guy behind this whole mess or at least has a connection with those responsible for the attack, we have an answer as to why the Machine Gods are so similar to the robots used by Bofoi and that the Giant Robot really belongs to Isamu

I mean most OPM fans don't read the webcomic though lol. The manga is WAY more popular. You need to operate on statistics, not just raw numbers.
And how are you going to get the "hype" statistics, aside from the amount of engagement?

DK name is ZERO as much as i'd like for it to be a reference to megaman along with genos being "megaman" which it might still be since murata a big megaman fan its a little obvious that he's Machine God Zero as in the very first one lol

okay has anyone calced the brave giant thing?
(SUPER LOW BALL) 1.8 gigatons, Large Mountain Level / High 7-A.

This is a very very low end calculation.

To get the 1.8 gigaton result the following assumptions were made:
  • a medium sized Japanese oak (10 meters) for a reference for the size of the mountain/hill it crushed
  • a 60 second timeframe
  • 2,000 km travel distance from middle satellite orbit to sea level
  • 50% hollowness.
(REALISTICALLY) Island level / 6-C at a minimum, Country level / 6-B at a maximum.

  • If you highball the hill and say it's a mountain but change no other numbers, it becomes 436 gigatons (island level).
  • If you highball the distance to space (you need to be 17,000 km away to see the full circumference of the earth at the equator), it becomes island level as well.
  • If you lower the time frame to 30 seconds, island level again.
  • Just counting it as 100% solid makes it Large Mountain+.

If you highball all four of these... the results will be more or less

837,128,990.3 x 7,850 = 3.28 x 10^12 kilograms x 566,666^2 meters per second x 0.5 KE reduction =

(SUPER HIGH BALL) 252 teratons, Large Country level / High 6-B.

I was doing some calculations for my Ninja Village Arc CRT (still working on it, I have serious real life problems at the moment) and figured I would toss out that calculation as a reference point if several people are willing to create webcomic profiles. The CRT will come as long as my issues don't actually kill me. They are quite serious but I did say I was going to do it - so.

Metal Knight's Chess Court robots will scale to Super Brave Giant of course, and this new version of Genos I'll call Mad Cyborg Genos until proven wrong would obviously upscale via one-shotting.

No time to give more comments on the webcomic chapter but I am so, so happy for my favorite two s-classes, no. 1 Darskhine, no.2 Bofoi (my favorite morally ambiguous jerkwad). WC Chapter was excellent and I hope the manga chapter this week isn't incredibly bland and short!

Probably around High 6-C to Low 6-B. (assuming it's speed is at least 7-10km/s considering how fast it reached the surface.)

Crazy webcomic feat. Can't wait to see it in the manga.

If we get the same statements, the mech would be High 6-A in the manga scaling above Orochi and the monster association.

And Genos would scale to one-shotting that 💀
Child Emperor never met Orochi nor talked with someone who did.

Though you could say Psykorochi would be included, it's probably talking about more relevant ones which he fought against. So it would be above 6-B at least.

It is Bofoi who makes the statement that his metal bots can take on the entire monster association, not Child Emperor, which the brave giant scales to.

Bofoi didn't met true power Orochi but only vastly holding back version which just scales above Gouketsu.
