If Hellfire and Gale are truly stronger than their monster forms, and the Heavenly Ninja Party are all considerably stronger than their new selves... you would expect nothing less than a constellation to rival the initial Flashy vs Platinum vs Garou fight. I'm afraid we won't get anything close to that.I don't get why Hellfire Flame and Gale Wind are reduced to just gag-style fodders at this point. They had an epic multi-chapter fight against Flashy Flash (where they were outclassed but still impressive) and since their defeat they've only shown up as jokes since then. It doesn't make these new ninjas appear any more impressive; compare literally anything they've done to the fight that Hellfire Flame and Gale Wind showcased. It doesn't come across as funny if it's just the same gag over and over again of "These guys are trash, and everyone treats them like trash including their comrades". Maybe I'm just jaded at this point, but I just don't get it.
I think the issue here is that the manga is trying to revert to the webcomic timeline while overlooking the fact that Hellfire and Gale in the manga are NOT the same as the Hot Rod brothers or whatever the hell they were called in the webcomic (honestly don't remember their names haha). And manga Flashy Flash is not the same webcomic character who was speed first, skill second, power third and durability fourth
I might just be bitter because Flashy tanked dozens of attacks from characters arguably stronger than Gouketsu, Elder Centipede and every other dragon who has really wowed us. I'm not asking for nuclear explosions but I would be lying if the MA arc didn't raise my expectations when it comes to a large group of fighters who can give Flashy Flash issues.
