Elimination: Which Season 10 Combatant has the Best Backstory? Vote for Your Least Favourite

The most iconic dog in all of fiction is out, probably because he doesn't really have a true origin due to all the different continuities (I feel like the closest we get is Scooby-Doo! The Mystery Begins but Pup Named Scooby-Doo shows the Mystery Gang knowing each other as kids) Among the thirty-two characters that appeared in Death Battle in Season 10, who among them had the best backstory? Backstories can be comprised of either background lore or actually shown events. They can be in flashbacks or during the middle of a story when a character is introduced, either way their backstory makes up who they are and their motives, what pushes them to continue or explain why they do what they do the present day. We'll find out who has the best among the rest by voting off the weakest from the strongest.

30. Scooby-Doo
Does Makima even have a backstory?

Exactly, kinda funny people give a lot of crap to MLP for doing it but surprisingly at lot of Shonen does it as well. Not saying character death is necessary (AGK is proof that trope has it's fair share of pitfalls) but when character death is constantly teased as a plot point that's when peoples start calling "plot armour/deus ex machina" which is a different issue entirely.
To be fair, people are legit very critical in general when Shounens pull the friendship as a power up card, especially with how overdone it has become as years has gone by. I remember how Dai no Daibouken got a lot of criticism for it with its 2020 anime, despite the manga being from 91, and how people were torn on Dragon Ball Super suddenly having friendship speeches when DB didn't really indulge in them before.

Though I agree with character death or stakes. Not going there at all is no issue, but not going through with it would feel cheap.

Question: If you wanted to come up with a soundtrack (name and the style of music) for Erza vs Satsuki, what would you come up with?

Now that I heard these I have the perfect name and musical style for Erza vs. Satsuki:

Name: The Queen's Rule
Musical  Style: A rock track that can pull in callbacks to Erza's theme, as well as Fairy Tail and Kill La Kill. The chorus can switch between majestic tunes (Erza) and militaristic (Satsuki), reflecting the status the opponents have towards their groups. The drum beats can start of like Satsuki's theme and can start to speed up after a minute passes.

What do you guys think?

Dragon ball shot itself in the foot with the idea of dragon balls fixing the problem, even by the existence of other sets if Earth ones are compromised, especially the rule of not being able to revive a 2nd time or more if you die, unless its Trunks timeline where his world is you either survive or you dont

Fairy Tail is softcore p*rn with a shitty shounen duct taped to the side. Which wouldn't make me frustrated with it if it didn't have such good concepts.

It's a series you make fanfic about, but not really something you go back and rewatch or reread.
Ironic considering there was a lot of animosity between the FT and NNT fans awhile back despite both franchises being infamous for their gratuitous and questionable fanservice (they legit hated both franchises were getting compared to each other).

I'm still a little miffed about NNT, an example of enjoying the concept and potential more than the actual execution and content for me (I didn't know what a "shota" was until I read/watched NNT and suffice to say I regret finding out).

NNT?

Mind elaborating the definition of softcore ****?

Fanservice. So much fanservice you'd be lucky to get more than two minutes without a 'haha boobs' joke
You think that's bad in NNT spoilers (not that it matters):
One of the MCs whose is considered the best character (Escanor) in the franchise partly due to having the least creepy relationship among the Seven Deadly sins (yes that's a reason) literally slowly burns to death in front of his comrades after sacrificing himself to save the day but what does this tragic scene need? that's right boobs! (It literally cuts a couple of times to a 1300+ yrs old fairy shota nestling in the breasts of his giant girlfriend whose nearly half his age).

Nothing wrong with fanservice but when it's used as crutch and/or constantly takes away from the plot, themes and action it's sure fire way of making a story shallow. Shipping is just as bad but that's a whole other can of worms.

I despise shipping culture.

That's why if NNT does appear on Death Battle don't be surprised to see Escanor as the first rep before Meliodas (iirc one of the members of the DB team legit finds Mel as possibly too "groomer" to appear in an episode, which is understandable) plus the animation and ost potentially is definitely there (assuming he fights White Beard or Akainu).

Moving on any other franchises that should or could be on DB but potentially have hurdles stopping them (e.g: that copy-right strike on Sailor Galaxia Vs Beerus might have pushed back Sailor Moon appearing indefinitely or Nasuverse's definitely not wholesome origins).
