God of War: Ragnarok Discussion Thread

That's because Kratos was holding back and being soft.
If you watched the game you'd know this, it's literally the theme of their fights.. well part of the theme.
Ive watched the game played by Jacksepticeye and Critikal as well as played and beaten the game myself, i am well aware of the context of the fights

Because in their major battles Thor while holding back curbstomped Kratos, breaking his shield and killing him in the process, beat him while both were fighting seriously, and KRatos effectively had to talk no jutsu him to end both fights
The first fight Kratos was holding back (Thor even berates him for this several times in the fight and feels insulted Kratos isn't going all out) and when Kratos does show off a hint of his true strength he immediately breaks free from Thors grip and knocks a tooth outta him, and in their second fight Kratos straight up beats him in a fight, he didn't win because he talked him outta of it he just won in a normal fight and then spared him

And in their second fight Kratos straight up beats him in a fight, he didn't win because he talked him outta of it he just won in a normal fight and then spared him
Yeah, in their second fight with both no longer holding back Kratos still won the fight, although with difficulty.

If i make a comparation between him and the Greek Pantheon, it seen like Thor may be a bit stronger than Poseidon or Hades, at least in terms of physical strength.

He doesn't have much hax/versatility as the two, but if we assume that has the same Resistances as Norse Kratos via scaling (beside Fate Manipulation which its something only unique to the Ghost of Sparta) he could be able to resist most of their hax.

Not really? Neither outright stomp the other like Thor did to Kratos. Im asking this solely for posterity so i can use this as an argument for other verses having similar scaling if this is accepted
What? Did you play the game? Kratos was holding back (both did in the first fight but still) and in the final battle thor was going all out even stating "now i am allowed to kill you" which confirms thor in fact, did hold back in the first fight and now he is going all out. Kratos still beat him.

I did, yes, as well as watched two full lets plays of it. The fact that Thor curbed and killed Kratos in their first fight despite holding back is only more proof of this

In fact, thor didn't kill thor, stop making stuff up. He knocked him out.and keatos did also hold back. Your point for thor holding back is irrelevant.

How he curbed and killed a held back Kratos that wasn't going all out wooooow, the first fight means nothing since neither were even remotely trying their best.

You gonna address a more serious Kratos straight up beating a full power Thor in their second fight or just keep harping on the first fight?

No he won't. I seen all of his other comments about kratos and gow in general.

Holding back doesnt make you less durable my guy

I already did, he wasnt stronger than Thor at all, i can post the fight if you'd like

Yeah I do believe kratos DID medically die in his first fight with him, but that's because he didnt want to fight and was holding back. It wont scale necause of that, Hell even thor wasn't trying his best. This fight was more like an introduction to who will beat who and no suprise, it was kratos who did in their final fight.

Apparently it can given Kratos can take more powerful strikes when the two of them get serious in their second fight without dying, either that or it's PIS that he got killed by that one strike since the second fight shows that he can take more serious blows.

Only person in the world that sees Kratos beating Thor in a fight and says "Nah bro Thor could one shot him, Kratos is fodder can't scale"

Like, even if Thor is stronger it's not to the point that Kratos doesn't scale, he straight up beat Thor in their second bout and matched many of his blows and he wasn't using any super powerful hax or whatever to do it.

Aight, theres a few crts coming up im gonna ping yall for since you agree with this kind of scaling

Backing out for now, just wanted to get opinions on this topic
