It's no secret at this point that the One Punch Man manga has repeatedly made major alterations to the webcomic continuity and even to its own, from the inclusion of new characters like Elder Centipede and Gouketsu in the manga, to the drastically rewritten battle scene of Phoenix Man and Child Emperor, to the massive buff to Orochi's reworked final form, to the expanded role of Blast and the enigmatic God, and all that's without even considering webcomic developments that haven't happened yet in the manga, from Awakened Garou to the Neo Heroes saga.
So far the Wiki team's only strategy was to rewrite the various character profiles accordingly, going so far as to edit out entirely major parts of the webcomic like the aforementioned Awakened Garou. The manga's new adaptations aren't even entirely "retcon", as the webcomic is still ongoing and using the "old" continuity to support it. I argue that managing the profiles this way is a mistake, and fails to reflect the community-driven nature of versus debating. After all, we already have multiple pages for characters who have multiple versions from remakes and alternate canons of their original works, anything from Hellsing and Hellsing: Ultimate to remakes of video games to the numerous iterations of the DC and Marvel universes. Why not do the same with the versions of One Punch Man characters who have undergone significant changes in their appearances and scaling? Ideally, this should extend both to characters who have new showings in the webcomic or manga (such as Tatsumaki in the manga, Speed-o'-Sound Sonic and Mumen Rider in the webcomic, and Genos in both), and to characters who varied significantly between different editions of the manga itself (such as Phoenix Man and possibly Orochi). As many of these characters have already been explained in the wikia in previous versions of their profiles before, I don't believe this is going to be difficult to do, and it would be great for the community who uses this wikia either way. Thank you.
