Gaia Parallel RP: RP Thread

@The Group

The magical barrier is dispelled, allowing everyone to pass through the gate to the other side. Though, the comments from Nicholas and Abel do cause some notable frowns to appear on the faces of the guards... The little things that don't quite add up with the story put forward by Crimson.

@Hl3

The most unique thing about the wall is... how un-unique it is. there don't seem to be any notable openings or imperfections in it,only the uniform guard patrols above. If you had to guess, it's probably magically reinforced somehow. Though, going far enough in one direction would likely lead to another entrance, where you could use perhaps your more unique skills to pass through.

@Phoenix

Your small bits of shadow scours the area. You can sense the presence of more guards, somewhat uniformly spread out across the length of your senses, and you can also sense more technological bits that indicate this place isn't quite as archaic as it looks on first glance. It's definitely magitek... If this world is like yours, it must have been made by artificers. The entire wall seems to have magic running through it... Tasty magic, at that. It's also about two floors, with ladders and stairs occasionally leading up to the roof level.

"To be honest, I really only go clothes shopping when I need to. Otherwise, I just wear basically the same thing. And now, I really need to."

Glancing down to her dress, and then to the others, waving her hands. A short chuckle, her usual response to anything that pushed her out of her comfort zone. Eyes fluttered shut, an embarrassed smile present upon her features.

"Uh, sure! But, uh, you guys might want to wait outside. It might take a while. You guys could check out the other stores while I'm shopping!" She realizes. Presses her hands against her pockets, shifting the stick-like object around before sharply giving a breath. "Still no wallet ... Well, at least I can browse."

I'd also like to add as an addendum that the inside is much nicer than the outside. It's furnished and almost looks modern in places, rather than just being a simple stone interior.

”Uh...” they reached into their pocket before pulling out a small leather wallet. “I think I got some money on me. Probably not enough for Disneyland prices but...” they shrugged. “Hopefully they take dollars And not like...Disney Dollars or something.”

they shrugged. “Like I said, at least you look good in the outfit.”

"Hmm, a library of sorts would be a good way to find out what this world's history is like. As would any sort of museums or something like that." Yuuki muses upon hearing the others talk

She shrugs and continues on, looking for any building resembling those, or any important looking places in general.

(The staff can create holograms of the events and places of Universe 7, why wouldn't they be able to create a holographic map?)
@Dragoonseraphim

To be honest, she didn't need money, she could create it, the only problem is that she needs to know what it is like, so I shook her shoulder as a sign that she doesn't know.

"I can look for specific things if you'd like, I suppose."

Apollyon mentioned at the inquiry.

Some of the shadows went and poked at the magic a bit, they were hoping to have a small snack without disrupting the function of the wall, tiny as they were.

"I ... don't think that's a thing."

Nudging a lock of hair just beneath her hat. But then, she hears their second comment. (!) It's probably the nicest thing anyone's said to her in the last ... three weeks, at least. Enough to cause a mild tint of red to invade her cheeks, anyways. Now that they mentioned it, she did make the outfit work, in a sense. Almost like it was made just for her. But, she didn't recognize it from anywhere either. Again, curious.

"Thanks ... Though casual is always better, isn't it?"

She begins to tread forwards, boots wandering through the entrance and making her way towards the interior.

They lower their weapons a bit, but not by much. "Beastmen aren't exactly common around here," one of them speaks. "But you don't look like much of a minotaur. You some kinda quarter-beast?"
"That's the idea, yeah."

“I guess it depends on who you are. Some people look pretty nice in like, suits and dresses.” They shrugged. Fashion wasn’t their strong suit. They chuckled as they adjusted their jacket, following Cass and the others. “I wouldn’t look good in either. That sorta fancy stuff isn’t really my style, you know?”

Their style was being cool and...androgynous, apparently.

@Listentomyrhytm

That seems to make them a bit nervous, particularly the left guard. "A king? Well that can't be right... we would have gotten a notice."

"Maybe it got lost it the mail..." The right guard suggests, his stoic composure starting to break a bit.
"I do not know what this place is... but I am royalty, I can prove it if needed..." They would say, merely staring into the guards' eyes... or where they would be, as they crouch from their 10 feet height.

"Yeah ... but, that's not a bad thing! You really look -- cool!"

She gently tilted her hat, attempting to capture that same kind of suave, devil-may-care vibe they pulled off so flawlessly. But after a few moments, she dismissed the notion and turned her head towards the atmosphere she was thrusted into on such short notice. It was a lot roomier than a theme park. And furhermore, she had no idea what awaited her.

“I never really thought much about my outfit much so I don’t really know whether or not I look good.” He says to the others.

@ZephyrosOmega
As we walk I take the opportunity to try and sense the mana that of my 3 companions. Do I feel anything?

Bailey chuckled and nodded to Cass. “Thanks. I try to rock the look.” they glanced at the environment they found themselves in and noticed that...yeah this definitely didn’t look like what they expected.

”Well, let’s see if we can get you into some better clothes. Hopefully twenty bucks can get you something good.” Of course Bailey didn’t like the idea of spending twenty bucks on someone but...eh. Good deeds are fine sometimes.

”You can pay me later or something, once you get your wallet back.”

@Everyone

As you walk out, you're greeted with a somewhat small border town. It doesn't look like much more than your standard medieval village at first, but a further look at it reveals the neon lights and somewhat greater levels of advancement lining houses and such, which look a bit out of place compared to the rest of the architecture.

Yuuki can indeed see a library near the town square, and there's other things like a bar and inn.

@Phoenix

APollyon's shadows are mostly unsuccessful due to guard surveillance, but there's some entry points that aren't so well protected, so they manage to get in there and have themselves a little snack of electricity magic.

@Dragoon

You can indeed sense the magic of your companions, all quite different from eachother.

@Oliver

Your staff creates a holographic map of the surrouding area. This town appears to be on the border between two neighboring countries, the wall separating them from eachother.

"I really appreciate it ... !"

Her perky voice shot up. Their kindness wasn't to be forgotten. Still, where her wallet might have been was clouded in the dark. The last thing she remembered was visiting a museum and that was about it. And it was in New York, a long ways from Anaheim, California. Or wherever this was. England? Germany? Somehow, it gave off a different feel from anything on the planet she'd ever experienced or saw before. In real life, that was.

"Is it just me, or does everything look like it's straight out of a JRPG? I mean, the walls, the soldiers, the grassy environment. This all feels like a place where you're supposed to grind before the bad guys show up and you spam that one attack that gives you easy EXP. Not that... you'd know what that is..."

Head sinking into her outfit, a bit embarrassed at the sudden flux of "nerd talk".

The shadows would depart from the wall and head into the town itself, to take a look around for anything that particularly stood out.

Apollyon herself began heading towards the library, as she was quite curious about this world.

"A JRPG? Is that a codeword for something?"

Bailey let out a small chuckle. “I don’t play video games enough to get what you’re saying. Not that big of a nerd.” They chuckled and ran a hand through their hair. They were mainly the sports and rockin’ out to music kind of person. Maybe watch a few videos on YouTube or something.

”But hey, I’ll take your word on it. If this is a video game can we skip to the fighting, though?”

@Dragoonseraphim

"Mana?"

That caught her attention. She was genre-savvy enough to know what that meant. And suddenly, her full attention was on him. The experience did not seem so much like an acid trip anymore. Either he was a very delusional man and the drug really hit, or the wind boat, the environment, everything was ... real.

"You're saying .... I have mana. Me. I can -- cast spells and stuff?"

Perhaps she was giving in too much to this delusion, but somehow, something in her chest made it feel so right-sounding. However, Bailey's comment brought her back to reality.

@Jackythejack

"O-Oh! Wait! No--. We don't have to fight anybody! At least I hope not--"

Waving her hands frantically in front of her jockish partner, though her height hadn't quite reached her face yet, and her arms only extended so far.

Just before he tried to teleport into the settlement, Glump was interrupted by his attempt to gain information from the goddess finally succeeding.
'Gaia is the planet itself?' That sounded incredibly useful to Glump. Glump doubted that Glump would receive even a fraction of her full power when calling upon her, but Gaia's knowledge must be immense. As long as she felt like telling him he could know virtually everything that was happening on the planet. Maybe Glump should have asked how and why Glump arrived in this world... but Glump instinctively doubted that Glump would get a satisfying answer.

Instead, Glump entered the settlement with the rest, now that they were granted entrance. Glump was somewhat bummed at having missed the opportunity to test Glump's newfound abilities against the barrier of this kingdom of technology. Whether technology could rival magic would have been useful information to Glump.
Glump shouldn't cry over spilt milk.
Instead, Glump raised Glump's head the moment Glump had passed through the entrance and looked up at the nearest building.
What Glump had decided is to separate from the group for the time being. Glump wanted to explore the area from the roof of the highest building Glump could find. Since Glump could only teleport to areas Glump had personally seen or been at before, Glump wanted to mark as much of his surroundings as a teleport area as possible before Glump got into any trouble.

Perhaps Glump would also spot something interesting after Glump teleports on the highest vantage point around... like other goblins. Glump was curious whether Glump had any brethren in town.

Deathtopia, as usual, had sleept through the mess he found himself in. All the bullshit visions and feelings new to his body, he attributed back to the new "concoction" Josh had given him the day before. He didn't know what was inside that pill, but it sure packed a punch. A good punch.

But, not all fantasies last forever, and everyone is forced to face the cruel and cold reality upon waking up... or so he thought, until he found himself in the middle of a forest, somewhere in the mountains.

"...what the ****? Josh, what the hell did you give me yesterday?"

Is he still dreaming? Did he get dragged somewhere else? Did he drive here while high? What the hell even is this place?

And... why does he still feel so light? So empty? And so... buff?

"Ohhh, i get it. This is that "lucid dreaming" thing. Man, i'm gonna have to ask Josh for more of these when i wake up!"

Maybe this is his new chance. No more LARPing at his parent's backyard, no more having the neightboors call the police on him for his skull mask and no more depending on shady jobs for money. Maybe, with this, he can be the real Deathtopia.

And so, he grabs his things and strides to the nearest road ahead. This is going to be great!

@MaidRips
“Of course I wouldn’t lie about something like this. Plus all of your mana are different from each other. You most likely have different elements you each excel in.”

-Oh! Wait! No--. We don't have to fight anybody! At least I hope not--"

Waving her hands frantically in front of her jockish partner, though her height hadn't quite reached her face yet, and her arms only extended so far.
"Well....it would seem that some of us are armed, so I wouldn't be surprised if we'd ever have to defend ourselves."

Bailey let out a laugh. “I get it, I get it. It’s a joke.” They chuckled and then looked to the weird dude who made the air boat. Mana? What the heck was that? Something about casting spells??

”Uh...the best I could do is probably some card tricks.” They shrugged. “I don’t know what to tell you, my guy.”

They glanced at Cass with a “what’s up with this guy” look.

"Hm... this place is quite interesting. Nothing like my home... but rather, lesssssss advanced it seems." Nat would mutter to themselves, as they take a good look around, with a smile. Their crown still on their head... almost like tied to a part. As their sword was slightly sheathed... hm.

@JustSomeWeirdo

"I mean ... I guess if anybody wants to cause us any trouble, we can defend ourselves. But how dangerous can this place be?"

Then, she turned towards the man. Hardly believing what she was hearing. Almost flabbergasted at the thought...

@Dragoonseraphim

"I-I know that! Fire spells, lightning spells, ice spells! The standard, basic stuff, but like -- I didn't think any of that was real!"

@Jackythejack

Her thumbs pressed to her temples. She was letting this ... crazy dream get ahold of her again. This hallucination. A deep breath, with a look that dismissed the possibility from her mind, still ignoring that need to take ahold of the object in her pocket. The one thing that seemed to be a certainty -- the one thing that she could cling onto that she knew was real was Bailey. Hearing her say such things was easing her back into what she knew was reality.

"Yeah, I mean ... I can barely do the missing finger trick..."

She gave a tiny scoff, but it wasn't without laces of uncertainty.
