Crow’s Egg: The Game Thread

“...Thanks you for your help, stranger”

I then prepared a ritual, praying for rain. The sky then darken.

“May this rain help your weary soul.”

As I finished it, the rain fall

Maria takes the map and studies it for a while. She makes sure to memorize it's layout. His words as well. This little "lesson in geography" has been more helpful to her than she would have admitted. Glancing upwards, she would keep that sly look on her visage. Then, a hand reached behind her back. Somehow, a coconut-whipped cream pie would appear in her hand and nonchalantly passed to the man. A brief wave as she set off with the map in her hands, strolling past them as if nothing had happened.

"Don't say I never did anything for you."

Anna, who had been silently listening to the people speak until now, perked up at the mention of food

“Um, you wouldn’t mind sharing would you?”

@MaidRips

“E-Eh? What is this?”

splurch

“Mmm...Hmm! AHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA! Amazing! Ernamos come here! Take a try!”

“Looks like seme-AGH!”

“Just try it! Remember your manners...”

“Mmm...mmph! Cough..A-Ah yes! Very good!”

“Thank you.... come on let’s leave while we can! RETREAT! HEAD BACK TO THE VILLAGE! We must prepare for our trip! No time must be wasted.”

The soldiers begin to ride away, few stand their ground. Covering the soldiers backs as they gallop back to their homes and tents! Clicking their crossbows and aiming their skulls. Their eyes quivering for any sudden movement!

'I can create a business out of selling water.'

Judith thinks to herself as she notes the fact of the corrupted water.

She merely glanced towards the others, speaking internally, knowing well now that there were telepaths in the group.

("The pies taste like shit.")

"Food is easy to solve for me" said Noah, who in fact had almost everything filled a chest of ender with only food and things related to food like seeds, bone powder, eggs, sugar, ect.

"Golden apples or fried chicken" with apples in his right hand and a chicken thigh in his left hand

"If you insist... I would use my power to transform something into food but -- one, they don't exactly taste the best either, and two, it must be on a living thing."

She sat herself down on the ground, reading the map over with interest. The woman reached into her pocket in order to slip out that letter she had been holding onto. Seems now was a good as time as ever to read it. Opening up it's envelope, she began to read it's contents.

“Alright, thanks Maria”

Anna moves to the back to take off her helmet and eat her food without interruption, away from the rest of the group’s line of sight

"Believe me when I say that you don't want to see what happens when it isn't organic."

Maria mused, whilst dusting off the paper. Squinting her eyes, her attention remained fully on the text.

It reads as follows:

“Rajad you did it! You sexy man! Bring the (covered in urine) here southwest towards the (covered in urine).The one we used to play in before they came. We have a boat waiting for us and plenty of money to buy safety within Frijed! Hurry, I don’t want other (covered in urine) finding us!”

@Overlord775

You see weeds,mountains...and fossils of those who have fallen in battle. Some wear pink and azure hues all over their patches of iron. Others wearing the pelts of fur, wearing metal skulls shining with blots of golden teeth and crystals on their exterior. Their bodies mirroring a scene of battle, each stuck in a pose of slicing or piercing the others limbs and hearts.

Southwards...You see beasts flying to the area of your arrival! Witnessing the destruction and ruin you brought in your wake...

“Nnngh! The mage...has not been subtle at all with his message. He will get us killed! WHERE ARE YOU?!”

She recoils back because of the smell and for ... obvious reasons. Her face is not so dissimilar to the one fish from SpongeBob who got asked if he was ugly, only for his entire body to shift and scrunch itself up going "DEUGUGUUGHH". Her instant reaction is to clench her nose. But, once her eyes begin reading the contents, she comes to a realization. That boat could be her ticket to her success. But ... she glanced towards the others with a glare. They nearly screwed her over the last time she tried to do things her way. If she was going to this boat, she was going to do it alone. No -- that wasn't quite right. She needed someone. Someone she knew she could trust. That person ... was Anna. She had shielded her back then. Furthermore, perhaps her ability could help her properly read this urinated old slob of paper. Thus, tossing her head back and forth to make sure she was not followed, using some illusion magic on her own mind to cloud her thoughts -- that she merely wanted to ask Anna for some food. Too many mind-readers to be absolutely safe. Her feet crept up towards the tree where her companion had stayed and she briefly called to her.

@Yobo_Blue

"Anna ... could I speak with you a moment? I am in need of your assistance..."

Clip clop

“Hmmph.”

No life remains,aside from the occasional rat. The remaining soldiers leaving the group to their vices as they merge with retreating forces.

"It appears we have company."

The painter notes to the rest of the group, as he looks in the direction of the flying beasts a few kilometers to the south.

Judith aims her bow towards the same location as the painter is looking, preparing to fire off her arrows if need be.

@PsychoWarper (split off from the group)

Stumbling past the fauna, you find the same village seen within your sight long ago. Wood and stone plastered the houses as the soldiers arrived through the trail of dirt paved across the trees. You meet the officer commanding the platoon, his robes glistening with the sun’s rays. Masking within a rabbit’s face adorned with pearls and bleached crystals. Along with a hat that dwarfed his head.

“Hey!”

chk

A sword begins to prod your throat within a blink of your eye.

“What?! What are you doing here?! You have no business he-wait...d-did you happen to stumble across a group of strangers as well? You...wouldn’t happen to be one of them wouldn’t you? Well told them to leave us be! We would like to ask you the same as well!”

"I hope I'm not interrupting anything... but I wanted to see if you could tell me what this says with your, erm, gift. Word of advice... don't smell it."

She passes Anna the note, not yet aware of the danger.
“Hmmmmmmmmmm, ok. I have an idea.”

Anna noticed the urine infested smell of the paper almost immediately, causing her to almost gag. But this could actually help her. The paper had clearly been through a lot, leaving it dirty, the perfect environment for bacteria. And with her power, she looked into the history of this environment, to see what the paper had said before it was smudged away

@ThisThingisReallyBroken

“Im just curious about this world, as long as you give me the information im after ill leave, I have no interest in staying anywhere for long periods anyway” Gladio says seemingly ignoring the blade.

@Yobo_Blue @MaidRips

With the note reconstructing it’s text...it reads the following:

“Rajad you did it! You sexy man! Bring Palolem’s gem here southwest towards the coast by the statue! The one we used to play in before they came. We have a boat waiting for us and plenty of money to buy safety within Frijed! Hurry, I don’t want other hunters finding us!”

@PsychoWarper

“Ask your friends then! I’m in no mood to give another lesson, unless...how are strong are you?”

“Uh... I killed a monster being controlled by one of those mages” he says as he checks the area for any more potential danger.

"I had already made out the first part but ... the translated notions at least give some good directions. Southwest, towards the coast, by a statue. I'm assuming that's somewhere near a dock -- so if I just find water, that should be ... "

She sighed, rubbing her temples with her fingers. Turning her head with a hint of bashfulness, she sucked up her gut and her pride.

"Look, I truly do appreciate what you did for me back then, even if I wasn't in any real danger. You protected me. My power -- Avery Unit -- It's quite powerful, but physically, I'm rather frail. At least compared to these monsters. But, you've shown you're capable. And worthy of my trust. So, I would appreciate it if you came with me to the boat. Perhaps we can help each other."

“You don’t think it’s suspicious that I’m not willing to show my face?”

"I appreciate you two are getting along but something is coming and we should organize better then you to just talking about leaving." I say.
