Difference between the two is in Bleach everything in the spiritual world is made completely out of reishi. But they all behave the same as the Kishi counterpart.
Your Yama example is only a thing for Shinigami. Toshiro can make the area around him cold by just existing. It is their aura. Quincy cannot do this.

What happens in any other series has nothing to do with bleach. There is no reason why there is a difference between spiritual light and natural light. spiritual ice and normal ice are the same. The spiritual sun and the normal sun warm the world in the same way? Is the spiritual light and normal light different man wtf

Kubo is kinda weird because he uses Kishi and Reishi for literally everything in the series, I don't ever recall the more fundamental constructs being mentioned aside from like Atoms once and it is by Aizen with the Hougyoku

Reishi is the most fundamental element. Even in the real world elements such as oxygen and etc are composed of Reishi to give it a “soul”.
