Edens Zero Discussion Thread: The Post-Void Saga!

Which one? And even then, unlike Natsu, Shiki doesn't really have a main outfit besides his red jacket, black ribbon, and maybe goggles, he changes his outfits quite a lot
 
So got to the end of the Drakken fight.

1) Really like how the general fight was not about straight overpowering him, but instead weakening him as even with Shiki's power up, he would have still been overpowered by Drakken.

2) I am sort of mixed on the ending as it almost seemed like another friendship power up which I hope doesn't become a trend here. I wonder how was the general reception to the end of the fight? While it would certainly be the first in this series, I do feel that most Eden's Zero readers are still coming straight off of Fairy Tail where this was abused and PoF is the main critique FT has hence why this moment of Shiki getting True Overdrive gives me mixed feelings. But, the fact that Drakken is also specifically not a full power here makes me lean towards liking it.

3) On that note, Shiki's True Overdrive looks badass. Love it.

It really wasn't just a Friendship powerup, Drakken himself mentioned that Shiki was one step away from attaining overdrive earlier in the arc and Shiki himself only achieved True Overdrive by gaining his past memories, so calling it a Fairy Tail Friendship boost really doesn't do it justice in my opinion.
 
well we not to spoil anything

but Drakken was extremely weakened in that fight like later down the line we get info on just how my much weaker he was during it

on top of the fact that he was going berserk so while being extremely weakened he also wasn’t fully in control of his actions

What I don't get at all is Edens Zero fans claiming that EZ is way different than Fairy Tail and how it's far above Fairy Tail

They are pretty similar theme-wise, just with Edens Zero being more grounded and darker, but the idea that Edens Zero is way different is ridiculous
 
In my eyes, Eden's Zero is just Fairy Tail in space.

I thing I hear a lot is that "Power of Friendship" is not something that is abused here and that "Power of Friendship" has consequences, ergo it's much different from FT.

I will say, I like the overall cast better than FT. Too bad there's no Erza....I need Elsie screentime...

This, in an interview Mashima directly said the Edens Zero will still have the theme of Friendship like in Fairy Tail

So I haven't been around for all the scaling discussions, but I need to know. Are we going to give Ziggy a 7-B tier or is it possibly that the OSG are Planet level. If even Ziggy doesn't want to mess with someone like Elsie at this point, should she not be rated near his level?
 
Thank you. Thats what I been saying but peeps said to wait for more feats for OSG just to be sure cuz Ziggy might have been a one pump chump and couldn't fight anymore after that or smth.
 
Do I have to make a CRT for this? Do we want all the Oracion Seis to be 5-B with all the info we have now?
 
I'd suggest making a CRT for it. Only characters who would scale are Ziggy, OSG and OSI I believe. And in case someone brings up Drakken, we have to remember that the entire plot around his fight was that the crew had to specifically weaken him before they actually fought him.
 
People like Ramsay for some weird reason though and its not even a "they are such shitty people that the character is good" thing with Joffrey but that they actually like Ramsay.
