Thread created to discuss everything One Punch Man related. Topics from last thread (vs wise).

Gwyn divides by two when they shouldn't have. Otherwise the other issue is that they makes the assumption the punch covers 1/5th of the planet rather than do a planetary superimpose image.

In case people have forgotten, by: "Calcing Boros' cloud split to get the original power of the serious punch". I mean the following:

  • Saitama's serious punch first overpowered the CSRC
  • It them split the atmosphere with the leftover energy
  • However it did not 100% cancel the beam, since there was plenty of remnant energy left which also split the atmosphere
So the formula would look like this: Serious Punch Cloud Split energy + (183 petatons - Boros' cloud split energy) = Original power of the Serious Punch.

Do the other calcs have any problems?

As far as I know, none. But we have to pick which one to use for the profile.

Wait so CSRC was more powerful than Saitama's Serious Punch?
If it was more powerful, then Saitama wouldn't have been able to overpower it. Basically what we see in that scene is the left over energy from the serious punch, which is why the mentioned formula would be used since we could find the original energy of the attack.

We could use the anime time frame like the Suiryu calc, but it does have some cuts in it unlike with that feat so it may not be usable.

I don't see an issue with using this formula, but just incase there are issues I suggest we go with the most absolute low end possible. Ugarik's calc looked the most accurate so we should go with his ends of 28, 113 and 2,835 Petatons for just his cloud split and jump from there. As far as I'm aware, the way to find the initial energy is too apply square cube law from the furthest edges all the way back to the point of origin of Saitama's fist. Applying the rest of the energy to get the final result should be easy from there.

I want to make a scaling and multipliers thread but I would like for the Genos calc to have the total destruction calculated.

I asked Kgiff a couple weeks ago to do that and according to him the result of the part of the destruction closest to Genos probably wouldn't even yield 8-A results. It'd push the results up to 53 kilotons but that's about it.

I'm not sure what it means exactly, but if you're having trouble with an image I'd suggest searching for the same image but from a different sight. place the image on the goolge images search bar and diiferent options should prop up.

It means there is another image on the wiki with the name of that picture. Change the name of the picture before uploading it and it should work.

Hm, I always presumed that that explosion in the first two panels was from the mountain in the background. But it does seem to be for the surrounding area around Genos. I'll speak to him later and see what he gets.

sheeesh Saitama x Fubuki huh?

I mean its the only opm ship that could actually make sense even though its still a bit meh

True. There has yet to be any good shipping material in OPM and Fubuki hanging around Saitama is more of an acquaintance thing.

Well yeah I know (and Mob has canon parents anyways) it's just something fun me and friends like to ponder about.

Fubuki makes more sense then say Tatsumaki or Genos.

I don't think the series will ever focus on relationships like that anyway. Fubuki might catch feelings for Saitama since atm she seems a bit obsessed but thats as far as I think it will go.

The series also has no fan service at all... aside from Murtata sometimes slipping some nice art in the chapters

Weirdly I know some people call Tatsumaki a fan service character just cause she doesn't wear pants but afaik she has virtually no suggestive or fan service scenes.

Waiting for Murata to draw Saitama vs Tatsumaki .... I need to see it
