I ******* called it and I'm still as pissed as ever.

Gilgamesh uses SNI into EA or smth GG.

If you want a more detailed answer, Bill starts with transmutation which is negged by resistance to matter manip and most of his other snap hax (besides sleep manip weirdly) is also resisted.

Afaik Gil in this form doesn't **** around and will go straight into SNI, which'll tell him "this guy needs to be hit with EA" so that'll erase him.

Does Bill even have a SINGLE ability that would work on Gil ?

because i am 100% sure he doesn't and this is a stomp

Sleep manipulation is sup-power of mind manipulation, which Gilgamesh resists on a conceptual level or planetary level

and which is also directly resisted by Gilgamesh

Where does it say on the Sleep manipulation page that it is

Also Gil resisting conceptual level mindhax wot.

All sleep manipulation that isn't something like throwing dust at your opponent is a sub-power of mind manipulation, as it messes with the mind

also Magic Resistance covers sleep manipulation

also yes, he resists authority which powers include conceptual mindhax iirc

What are the mechanics in specific behind sleep manipulation there? If it's just an effect done through mindhax it is resistable.

Limitations

  • Susceptible to not work on those with a resistance towards sleep based attacks.
  • Some users may have a limitation on how long they can put someone asleep for.
  • If a user puts themselves to sleep, they may not be able to wake themselves back up at will.
  • Lesser users may not be able to make an opponent sleep if they don't need to or are incapable of sleeping.
  • Certain forms can be limited on how often they can put someone to sleep at a time.

It doesnt say anything about Mind Manipulation

the litteral textbook sleep hax is hypnotism, which is mind manipulation

Unless proven otherwise, a sleep manipulation is mind hax

also again, magic resistance covers sleep manipulation

Sleep can also be biological.

Wasn't Gil and co resisting authority a matter of him having more Authority after something happened in the game than actually resisting it?

Yes, but there's no proof Bill's is biological

it's via a snap, which when considering that he's MUCH more about messing with the mind than the body

it's via mind manipulation

That wouldn't make it not a resistance though. If he can just override abilities due to having more authority, he can still do that.

Both Rin and Illya can put people to sleep, and Gilgamesh just tanks everything they can throw at him.

Magic Resistence covers a lot more than the profiles show, but it would be nearly impossible to list everything.

You made a thread on this a while ago already

Nah, Gilgamesh is a chad and just had to go full power to resist authority's effects

The issue with that is that authority isn't exactly something one has by default. One could render Gil's resists null by having more in that way, but by default he'd still resist those abilities since we don't assume his opponents have the same amount as he does.

I think someone typed a list of resistances it gives somewhere. Think it was goetia vs Oryx

Can't bill still just kill him with AP in theory though
