Why is GT separate from the main profile

There is a anime only section on the main page which fits in with gt fine as it is a anime only show and most of the gt pages scale to the toei ones anyway. Just minor issue why does the super pages not use toei feats when there are direct flashbacks,refercences and or characters that only have anime appearces or context to them
 
A while back, We were planning on moving all the Anime only profiles to the GT page and renaming it to Dragon Ball (Toei). Also, it's been discussed countless times. Dragon Ball Super Anime is the canon sequel to the original Manga and the Toei Anime is a completely separate continuity.
 
It was discussed here and it was agreed by the staff to seperate them. No one got around to doing it, but the Anime versions of Dragon Ball, DBZ and GT are basically Dragon Ball's version of the ESU. Where as the primary canon is the Manga followed by Dragon Ball Super. Reason for the separate pages.
 
I Was there for that debate and i sugested a merging like i am now if i remember correctly and it went though but nobody did it. If i remember correctly the statement was super in general and their were also statements saying the same for gt and bog and if the toei anime is so different how do you explain gergory in super and referces to the z anime like i stated. The movies are non canon period and are set in their own timeline as stated by toriyama meaning the z anime don't scale to it
 
That is completely irrelevant. Gregory's appearance or tributes to the Anime does not prove the canonicity connections at all. Again, this has been discussed multiple times. Also, don't quote long walls of text. There was a WIP for the Toei page here.
 
Why can't i use gregory as a cameo for a point when people also use cooler as a cameo for a point of gt being non canon as well so what makes those two scenarios any different. There is no mod rule stating i can't use quotes is there and it's prefence i have it makes it easier to respond as i don't have to go up to read your comment it's right were i'm typing. Got a reponse to my movies should not be canon period point and the statements i mentioned for gt and bog being stated as canon. Im sugesting a merge and the toei db page is not made anyway ether so a merge is still possible and don't worry about having to handle it i would do it myself and what pretty much doing here is asking to do it cause i want to do it anyways
 
Actually, it is in the Discussion Rules about using long quotes or quoting people back and forth because it makes threads virtuously unreadable. Movies are not canon to the main continuity with the exception of the new Broly movie yes, but Toriyama has basically merged all the Non-Canon movies into the Toei Dragon Ball, DBZ and GT continuity and basically called it the Dragon Ball Extended Universe.
 
Thing is toriyama is not the writer of those stories so he can say there non canon to his work but to say takao's work is canon to gt or whatever is not useble cause he has power over the manga not somelse's movies or anime and if anything i would say it is cluster of sources he does not want included in his canon material not a whole continuity like you claim and takao is the guy who makes the majourity of movies if you don't know. Could you send a link of him saying that as i have this debated this topic alot of times and never seen brought up it once. The super era broly movie ties-into yo son goku and has no connection to gt or the movies from my knowledge and yo son was always canon and this was just confriming that connection nothing new really. Care to respond on how gregory's cameo has any less canon importance than cooler's in gt
 
Yo Son Goku was never considered canon, And Dragon Ball Super's arcs take canon over the movies of BoG and RoF. Honestly, you're basically repeating the same things over and over that have been discussed with far more staff involved. Some of which you weren't there. But still, the decided canonicities are to remain as they are. I wasn't the one who decided this. The Movie profiles are still interconnected to the power scalings of Dragon Ball GT and all that.

Anyway, I did work ahead in my sandbox to finish what another staff member started. So I will do the changes agreed a while back.
 
BOG was stated as canon along with super as medium in general and if yo son is non canon why was he mentioned in the super era broly movie. Care to explain on how i repeat everything and do you have a link of him saying a extented universe or did you just make it up on the fly. Movies are canon to the anime cause moderation despite statements because srcrew evidence we got power and what's the point of having users when they can't inpact on the content made and all they can do is make threds and profiles becomes a pain cause you need to know verse restrictions ontop of having profile standards and restrictions. Never Responed to how gregory's cameo has any less canon importance than cooler's in gt
 
Those are all statements made a long time ago and do not apply to this day; it's the definition of Outdated information. The 2013 BOG movie is no longer considered canon and it is Dragon Ball Super that is now the more canonical version of Goku Vs Beerus. Yo Son Goku was never considered canon to Dragon Ball Super.

It was discussed on this thread and many threads before it. Dragon Ball Super both Manga and Anime were both technically considered equally canon by Toriyama, but the Anime version was more linear with the scaling and is what we go by. GT on the other hand is not canon to the main canon, but it is a canon continuity to the Dragon Ball Z adaptation.

I have seen your threads countless and plenty of staff members also remember considering you obnoxious with circled arguments; no offence though. We've also had other threads discussing the canonicity of the Toei continuity in the past. So it's best to read past threads. Gregory's appearance doesn't one bit prove the canonicity of the Dragon Ball Anime to Super because he's a minor side character, not a villain like Cooler. The Canon Dragon Ball considers Cooler non-existent but the Toei continuity/GT does. Also, you're the one who once made the link of Toriyama considering GT the center of the Dragon Ball Non-Canon legacy.
 
I Never made any fake links like you claim and the most i made on the internet is a rt and a yugioh card on percy so i did't make the link i found it two different things so make up infomation about me. Tarble was mentioned in broly and cause broly is considered canon to your comunity it makes yo son goku canon to your comunity. Status of a character villian or side character does not change the fact you accept one but not the other due to the canon system in place here. Still waiting on that extended universe quote that toriyama he so called made. You forgot to mention how i said tarble was mentioned in broly and how is it convently forgot to mention the context to my statement of it being canon. Just cause infomation is oudated does not make it not unusable or applicable to a debate or disscussion and BOG is non canon cause you said so or you have any evidence to say such claims
 
I never said you made the source, but you did link the source and misinterpreted as, "Dragon Ball GT is canon, instead of Super" which is not the case. And you missed the point, Gregory becoming a canon character as of super doesn't make the Anime continuity canon as all. Gregory is still a minor character who holds no importance to the story and would be treated as any other new character would. Cooler on the other hand is literally a dead villain whom the Z Fighters recognize as a villain as if the movie happened. Gregory appearing in Super doesn't outright confirm any Anime Filler was canon to Super.

Tarble being mentioned in the Broly movie may confirm Tarble being a canon character, but it does not confirm the movie Yo Son Goku and His Friends Return being canon at all. I forgot where that link was, but there was a bunch of details discussed here, here, here, here, and here regarding the details of Toei/GT.
 
Okay let's put it this way unless stated to be different characters like broly from super they are not such. Gregory and tarble are the same characters unless stated otherwise. In your own words Also, you're the one who once made the link of Toriyama considering GT the center of the Dragon Ball Non-Canon legacy. Really you did't say it your own sentence says otherwise unless you forgot you said it which is most likey the case as lieing on here is purposless as i could just read previous message. The links you showed had very little to do with canon and just disccussied the currect system's horrible scaling and if your proof to something is a disscussion of the thing your defending and do you still not have that extended that toriyama made. I Could claim pikkon in the movies is different from the show due to the different dimension quote made by toriyama but at least that claim has some evidence to show for unlike your tarble and gregory one that lacks any aside from it's treated as a different character cause why is it treated differently maybe that extented universe link you have may tell me or show some proof but as you don't show it my claim holds more weight due to facts alone than yours does
