Hello.

I wonder if you think that we should make the contents of the Dragon Ball GT verse page into a section of the regular Dragon Ball verse page?

If so, would somebody be willing to handle the move?

I would also appreciate if somebody could ask the staff members listed in the Dragon Ball verse page to comment here.

I personalky am against this. The reason why GT Goku and Manga Goku have different pages instead of just keys is so that people don't get confuse canon vs noncanon.

I mean, GT is a canon of it's own and shares the Dragon Ball name. I don't see why we can't put them both on the same page.

I can get behind merging the two verse pages together. Heck, we do have an entire section of the dragon ball page dedicated to the video game characters, which are non canon, It wouldn't be that much of a stretch to add the GT characters as well.
This is my view as well.

I thought there were plans to do the opposite actually; move all the Filler/Movie only characters to the Dragon Ball GT page and renaming it as Dragon Ball (Toei). Dark649 and Kepekley did say something about doing that numerous times on multiple threads, just haven't gotten around to it yet. It would make the GT/Toei page more elaborate while making Dragon Ball's page less cluttered.

I am fine with renaming DBGT to Dragon Ball (Toei) instead, and restructuring it as Medeus described.

We have an entire section named "Anime/Movies/OVAs" which contains more number of character pages than the DBGT verse page. They both share the same non-canon continuity as well. We also have a whole section for "Video Games" which also contain comparable number of pages.

I don't see any harm in Ant's suggestion. So we can move everything under one big umbrella because it's all a part of "Dragon Ball" verse. If not, then we should also separate all the non-canon stuff and group them together, not just GT. I am neutral but leaning more toward Ant's suggestion.

As for the page becoming cluttered, I don't think that's an issue. Marvel Comics, DC Comics, Pokemo, Digimo and Star Wars work just fine.

To be fair, some of the video game profiles do have some of the weaker characters and/or keys scale from Toei feats; so if we do split the verses into two pages, the video games should be included more in the non-canon versions.

I guess I'm fine with merging them too, but prefer to split canon from non-canon. Having the Filler/Movie characters on the main Dragon Ball page is the reason I see so many questions like, "Why is Pikkon stronger than Kid Buu?" Among other things. Making it more clear cut about the separate continuities helps to clarify that confusion IMO.

I am fine with Medeus' suggestion, as I mentioned earlier.

I don't think it matters much. And while we're on the topic of verse pages, IMO all those renders on the dragonball page look fugly, the images linking to profiles should be cropped artwork instead like the great majority of other verse pages.

if we want to separate why not separate the entire non canon section like games, spinoff, live action etc.....

i think people hate the non canon db thats why they want to kick it out from the main db page.....what other verses have different verse pages for different canons?? my opinion is even if we treat them different.....non canon material is still as much dragon ball as canon.....please lets not divide and partition the fans and let all the db material stay together by just making a different section on the same page

if we separate them, separate non canon pages will also be needed to be created for characters like bardock and paragus who have both canon and non canon keys in the same page

Can somebody ask Dark649 and Kepekley23 to comment here again?

@Kepekley

Well, it seems like that might be an idea then.

A lot of the "Toei only" stuff is canon to DBGT anyway.

I.E. Cooler makes an appearence in Super 17 Saga.

Problem comes mostly from Dragon Ball Heroes, that's another canon as well that doesn't have anything to do with either DBS or DBGT.

Xeno Goku has been both a SSJ God and a SSJ4

I disagree with merging DBGT into DB, but am open towards merging the anime continuity as a whole into one page.
Would you be willing to handle this?

i been a supporter of merging the profiles for a while so im against it as a idea and cameos dont equal canon if that was the case stan lee would be a character in marvel movies pre mcu and i said that cause cooler had a cameo in gt just as gregory did in super and its just a cameo thats all it is and whats xeno goku have anything to do with gt its a game character and the fact the gt was designed as pernament sequel for z proves it more valid than the movies where toriyama stated he's just guest in those projects on the other hand toriyama had some involvement with designs and other things in the show and enjoyed the project as stated here http://www.kanzenshuu.com/translations/dragon-book-gt-toriyama-intro/ and enjoyment and involment as well as approved by toriyama are enough in my option to warrant a move and bardock was orginaly a ova character but got added in the main manga later because he liked the character note it was just his death but the ova is highly canon in my option for the reason given and moving the profiles would go against z canon note the parts leading up to his death in the manga is unknown until minus but was great way to figure out for the older fans back a while ago in the early days of dragon ball

@Missy0124, please don't use long quotes and make sure to properly organize your sentences and paragraphs. Using no punctuation makes it practically unreadable. Thank You.

Additionally, we already had long discussions regarding the Anime adaptation, Anime movies, and Dragon Ball GT as being part of its own canon; this includes the TV Specials being part of GT/Toei's continuity.

Anyway, some of the staff said they're neutral but Kepekley disagrees with merging them and agrees with my suggestion by the looks of it.

Perhaps somebody could ask more administrators and discussion moderators to comment here?

Thank you, but it is probably better if somebody else handles it, as you seem to have a problem with properly expressing yourself.

I was thinking of the wall of text earlier, and the lack of proper punctuation and capital letters. In addition, you are a sporadic/unfamiliar member. There is a big chance that the staff members you contact would not take your requests seriously.

Are you willing to ask some staff members for input Medeus?

I can ask some staff members who are knowledgeable/support Dragon Ball yes.
