Ceaseless Discharge vs the Abhorrent Beast

Beasts are weak to fire attacks iirc, and since Ceaseless' range attacks is a large beam of flames. I'll vote for him 6.5/10.

Ceaseless is rather slow though. Abhorrent beast, not so much.

**** I forgot speed wasn't equalize, though Ceaseless is faster by combat and reaction though.

I'll just wait for more input and see how it turns out.

>Without much resistance

>Abhorrent Beast is only 1 kt lower in durability than the Discharge's AP

Pardon?

Ceasless can already instakill the Chosen Undead and its feat was done by dying, which is probably where it comes from

Do we take into account how it sorta dies if you run away for too long though

The Beast's weakness to fire isnt crippling enough that a fire attack of comparable power will oneshot it

That's what happens in the game, for whatever reason. Go fight ceasless and run back to the start, he'll just arbitrarily die.

Pretty sure we're meant to belive he falls to his death since he seems to be holding himself up. I like to think he just falls through the world

No but due to the speed difference, Abhorrent is getting hit alot more then it's hitting back.

Actually the Abhorrent beast is getting a speed upgrade to Massively Hypersonic+, but Ceaseless first move is to building size AoE you into oblivion and him dying from you running away only applies to his boss arena because he leaps off a cliff trying to kill you (and it doesn't even apply here because the Chosen Undead stole something from him and that's why he was pissed enough to leap off a cliff in the first place).

Abhorrent is gonna have a hard time just not getting stepped on tho, considering the size difference and the fact that Ceaseless literally spits the beast's weakness.

Only when you're right next to him (responding to Weekly). If you're far away you get hit by an impossible to dodge building size AoE.

@Sir The Abhorrent Beast's entire skillset revolves around constantly moving and dashing in different directions to avoid attacks

Well, even if Speed is similar I'm still voting Ceaseless for AOE and literally just being Abhorrent's weakness. All of Ceaseless' attacks, even the slaps, deal fire damage.

And? The beast is mobile enough to avoid ceaseless's aoe

Also you're putting way more emphasis on the beast having a minor weakness to fire than you should be

The elemental weaknesses were really substantial in my experience. Could easily crush kin with a bolt paper application, for example.

I'm pretty sure the weakness to fire for beasts and bolt for kin is actually supposed to be bigger in the lore than it is in gameplay

Not to mention the fire blasts themselves can nearly yeet the player while wearing Gold-Hemmed Black set, which is made to resist fire.

I... would err on the side of Ceasless. I don't think the instant death thing applies here and, even if it did, I don't think Abhorrent played Dark Souls so he probably wouldn't know about it.

Ceaseless smacks around with fire damage and calls it a day, in my book.

The 'instant death' was Ceaseless leaping off a cliff. It only happened because he was extremely pissed as someone just disrespected his sister's corpse and it doesn't even apply here because they are in Central Park.

Vote stays the same for Ceaseless via fire blasts the size of a small building.

Actually wait a second, -plugs Bloodborne's meteorite calc into joules to kilotons calculator just to double check; gets 14 kilotons-, well sh*t. I know 7.5 is supposed to be a one shot, but Ceaseless is literally the Abhorrent Beast's weakness and has a building sized AoE so I think this may actually be stomp now that I read Abhorrent's ap (I originally assumed 58,837,500,000,000 would equal 58 kilotons like how other metric measurements are divisible by 10, but kilotons isn't like that; whoops)

Should probably switch to the Living Failures because they're invisible and can resurrect a limited number of times, but Ceaseless AoE and size both can help get past the invisibility and the ap is high enough to kill them repeatedly

honestly you should probably make another match if you want that, late change would kill it.

I still think this is fine, but up to you if you want it closed.
