Part 3 Dio.

Dio Brando: 15 (ThePixelKirby, Dragopentling, Arrogant Schmuck, HierophantDeluxe, X Squared, Paul Frank, Arsenal1212, Genericstickman, Xanxussama1010, Torlikoff, Mr Bambu, Anttron224, DaBig, Generic, Tornio, Inverted Tempest, UltimateFlare )

Diavolo: 11 (TriforcePower1, Lord Urien, EmperorDoom, Kirby75, TacticalNuke, Tincan123, Zephyros, SinsofMan, Iap, Jacky, CrackerVolley )

Inconclusive: 1 (JohnConquest1)

Cool, that was quick.

Before anyone says it was on the profile, the reasoning was dubious and no arguments for DIO ever came up. Here I go.

1. Time Stop is countered by Time Erase, but if Time Stop goes off before Diavolo erases time, Diavolo basically ****** dies on the spot.

2. DIO can survive a few Donuts due to his regen and durability.

3. Since Time Stop lasts a shorter amount of time than Time Erase, it's arguable that Time Stop will get off cooldown first.

With that in mind, here's how I see this going;

The battle starts. Diavolo skips over Time Stop, and gets in position behind DIO. Time Erase ends, and he donuts DIO. (It can be argued he'd aim for the head, but so far he has never, ever chosen to go for the head, even against Bruno, in which he could clearly see that Bruno was going to cheese him and escape.) DIO, however, survives, due to his existence as a vampire. And thus, I see three paths:

1. DIO stops time due to getting off cooldown faster/having a shorter cooldown, and proceeds to murder Diavolo.

2. As Diavolo attempts to donut him, DIO timestops, similar to how he timestopped in response to Polnareff's skewer and Jotaro's surprise punch. Then, he murders Diavolo.

3. DIO just uses his higher speed and relatively high experience to beat up Diavolo, since King Crimson is more about hard, heavy hits instead of quick punches. Meanwhile, one punch from Za Warudo that hits Diavolo himself would basically kill or cripple him on the spot.

One can also argue that DIO's overconfidence means that he wouldn't kill Diavolo in time stop. I find this argument dubious, at best, since DIO has always shown to at least cripple his enemies in time stop, if not kill them. And that was against enemies he already knew about and understood. Against Diavolo? Well, after seeing that Diavolo quite literally lolnope'd his time stop and inflicted heavy damage, DIO would certainly not hold back in the slightest and go straight for the kill.

So, I see this happening one way. Either DIO's timestop gets off cooldown first (Due to lasting less time and being decently spammable) and he wins, or DIO abuses his higher speed and smacks Diavolo. Regardless of what it is, Diavolo gets the shit beat out of him.

I vote DIO.

Exactly. And he only needs one Time Stop for a certain victory.

King Crimson acts like such. Diavolo could, in theory, permaspam King Crimson if they actually did not have a cooldown time. So, be it self-induced by character or just having it, there is an effective 'cooldown period' that Diavolo follows even in dangerous situations.

Why would he know he needs to go for the head just because do regens

Also he would need to destroy the entire brain

As for kc cooldown it technically doesn't have one but diavolo doesn't spam it non stop because if his lack of stamina

Unrelated but I always just bring up in these threads that time skip + epitaph won't save Diavolo from unavoidable fates like he's in a cloud of poison or activates KC while falling into a bed of spikes.

If Diavolo doesn't time erase right before DIO uses Time Stop, then Diavolo's time erase literally stops during Za Warudo's time stop, which literally gets Diavolo killed. So that point is moot.

Could Diavolo aim for the head? Yes. It's a valid way of winning. But the real question is, will he? And I believe he wouldn't. Against Bruno, even though he had dozens of chances to aim for the head and kill him, he didn't even try. Not to mention his other fights. Very rarely if at all does he go for the head.

As Thanos once said, "You should have gone for the head", and for that reason, DIO wins.

Honestly, a sword stabbing Dio in the head took less then a few moments to regenerate.

Straizo regenerated in minutes after being blown up.

I get vampire Regenerationn can be inconsistent, a sort of Araki "I forgot" moment,, but I doubt Diavolo could kill or even KO Dio just by knocking off his head.

This is a very valid point. I took a more pessimistic stance with DIO's Regenerationn, but even if we assume DIO's regen is worse than Straizo's, that still leaves him in a very good position.

Also people forget that stand abiities still work in erased time. For example Bruno's Zipper kept expanding on King Crimson's head even after getting his attacks erased, which means there will be points of overlap where Diavolo can't move in erased time. As we all know the longer the battle progresses the longer DIO's timestop gets. Eventually time stop will outlast time erase and DIO can just destroy Diavolo. I vote DIO.

Diavolo busted Gold Experience's head to bits though.

And upon being donutted, DIO will be confused af. Which gives Diavolo enough time to see that it's not working and he'll erase time again.

I should really modify vampire regen tbh, since scaling to Straizo is sketchy considering the feats, but I digress.

Diavolo technically can just Erase himself from Time to make him untargetable. In character, Dio will either open up with Time Stop most of the time or just rush Diavolo.

If Diavolo is frozen in time, I don't care how good your precognition is, you are dead.

Diavolo theoritically could avoid alot of Dio's damage with Epitaph Foresight or Time Erasure, but unlike Dio who can make some mistakes because of his regen, Diavolo can't.

Diavolo doesn't really have a 'cooldown', Dio has at least a windup time, but honestly neither should matter. Diavolo spamming Time Erasure = Dio's Regenerates.

Or Dio rushes Diavolo only to erase time.

I am just gonna go occams razor and assume Dio for Time Stop and Regen.

Pretty sure both abilities give Dio plenty of opportunity to pummel Diavolo by turning him into a donut or his Regen can fix anything Diavolo could do to him.

Even assuming Diavolo punches Dio so hard he becomes sick and then he goes to pummel him, his Regen should fix up the damage.

So yeah, hard matchup. Gonna go with Dio for now.

3-0 in favor of DIO so far.

Being Base DIO doesn't change too much IMO. Diavolo is still 10-A physically, so if DIO, Stand or not, so much as breathes on Diavolo, the dude's ******* dead.

In the very best scenarion, that means Diavolo ends time erase right when time stop ends. In this scenario, what I said above applies- DIO gets donuted, he survives because regen, and he beats the shit out of Diavolo while both are on "cooldown".

Addressing this before anyone says it, even if one argues Diavolo doesn't have a cooldown (Which is a dubious argument at best), Diavolo certainly fights as if he has a cooldown, while there have been quite a few incidents of DIO spamming Za Warudo, especially in response to attacks.

Dio's regen and diavolo having the personality that normally is the downfall of many villains (arrogance) Will give Dio the upper hand in this, but there is a problem, Dio is Also arrogant, but i see Dio winning anyways, because of the "you should have gone for the head" thing, i see this Battle as this:

Dio and diavolo stare at each other, but diavolo, that is more eager to do the attack first and se know, time erases and Donuts Dio, not in the head, Dio says "NANI?!" Then diavolo, confident of the win, stands still, but then Dio regenerates, and then Diavolo turns pale, surprised of what just happened, Dio then gets angry, time stops, and then the Donut, this time, Diavolo gets donuted, and with diavolo not having regen, he dies, then Dio lives to do more Evil, Also a reminder that Dio stopped time While he had Silver Chariot's sword in his brain.

Dio wins.

Pretty sure the if you kill the brain you kill Dio, since that was what the weakness with the pillar man, and they are much stronger than Dio.

Diavolo won't stand still and gloat. He has precog for a reason.
One fight, Diavolo VS Bucciarati, Diavolo donuted, and then he was like "lol done" and didnt do anything more, Also there isnt prior knowledge here, so Dia (Dio VS Dia xD) doesnt know about Dio's hack, "regenerate because yes, im secretly a vampire"

And again, Día isnt the dude Who is gonna reblow, he is so arrogant, definitely won't do the "just in case" blow.

Straizo regenned from getting blow to pieces and Dio easilly restored being cut in half

anf awakened DIO's regen should be superior

so no, it's not enought

Legit what even is this? Like most of the battle with Bruno, Diavolo got PIS all over him, stuff doesn't just harm Diavolo within erased causality. Not to mention he should have erased that in time, 'cause precog. And DIO's timestop getting longer is both irrelevant and an excessively surreal interpretation of how this battle will go, that also ignores Diavolo's mentality in combat.

Dio's Regenerationn is stamina based, and it also depends on how much blood he had.

That said, given that Dio's timestop actually lasts 0 seconds as time's stopped, Diavolo can still erase the entire timestop as it's just 0 seconds and still have his 10 seconds, giving him a significant advantage.

While Dio has regen to resist getting hit some times, the possibility of Dio even hitting Diavolo once is unlikely thanks to Epitaph, and the fact that Diavolo has no cool down between time erasures, as he doesn't spam it constantly just because he cannot interact with stuff during time erasures. Plus, King Crimson and The Meme have similar AP, meaning that a single blow from Dio won't kill Diavolo as King Crimson is constantly near him and protects him. And if Dio tries to unleash a barrage of punches, Diavolo can still just erase time to avoid it.

Even after said all of that, well, Speed is unequal. That gives Dio a quite big advantage as The Earth is faster than King Crimson. Dio can probably manage to hit Diavolo at least a couple of times abusing his speed, even considering Epitaph as Diavolo may simply not being fast enough to move (think of the time GER shot a laser beam at him), and while the difference in speed isn't that big, it's still going to be a problem.

Lastly, there's always the possibility of Dio timestopping simply before Diavolo can do anything. That's actually a pretty probable chance. Diavolo needs to actively damage Dio a lot several times in a row to overcome his Regenerationn, while Dio only needs to stop time once to win. And while I can see Diavolo managing to Epitaph+Erase Dio's attempts at stopping time and doing some serious damage, Dio still has 8-C+ dura, so dealing enough damage to eventually tire out Dio's regen is highly difficult before Diavolo himself actually tires out while Dio still has his superhuman stamina. And the possibility of Dio timestopping even just once, exactly at the end of a time erasure, is high. DIO's an intelligent fighter, managing to understand Jotaro's magnet trick and Joseph's Hamon trap. He's going to eventually understand more or less how long the timeskip lasts after a couple of times at most and he's going to take that chance to stop time.

Overall, while Dio's possibility of hitting Diavolo and winning is low, the possibility of Diavolo managing to overcome Dio's regen and dura with several timeskips before Dio shows him how to actually donut people is even lower.

Dio takes it 5.5/10

Btw, is this base or Awakened? I assumed it was awakened, and though it wouldn't seem to change much, the difference in the level of regen may be enough to tip things in Diavolo's favor.

Dio wins.
And then we have this little thing. DIO's regen isn't going to save him a second or at best a third attack from Diavolo. Diavolo literally always aims for the kill, except at the beginning of his encounter with Bruno, idk what do you mean by "lol arrogance".

He can predict that too, so no. Even without that, he could erase an attack from Bruno after donut'ing him. And even then, he's doing this to someone who's not going to react to this like a normal human besides being angry and surprised. He stopped time after having Silver Chariot's sword in his brain, if Diavolo does what he did to GE to him he's dies.

Yeah, basically Dio can do mistakes and still win, while Diavolo must do a "Solo, no damage" perfect run to win.

Triforce's argument summed in this short sentence.
