Questions on Captain Marvel and her Black Hole feat

Captain Marvel converted at least 81% of a black hole into energy and kept going.

According to our site, it takes 10^69 years to disintegrate the smallest black hole actually found in our universe. That is way to long and of course would also hardly be a durability feat, given that we would just have a energy of less than 1 joule per year.

If we have a character like Captain Marvel eating 81% of a black hole in 10 seconds, does it not mean the attack potency and durability energy equivalent required equal to this?

10^69 year * 1 J per year normally * 81% * 365 days a year * 24 hours a day * 3600 seconds an hour / 10 seconds ~= 2.55441600E+75 J (Multi-Galaxy)

Even if we assume she ate it in one year, that still yields 8.1 * 10^68 J (Galaxy+)

May potentially lead to a large upgrade in Captain Marvel and anyone directly and reasonably scaling to her.

(Feel free to discuss any other Captain Marvel question here as long as you keep focused on Captain Marvel and black holes.)

She didn't destroy it with Hawking Radiation, she turned it into energy. Therefore it's just mass-energy conversion.

So how does the mass energy conversion formula work and what are the variables and constants picked up? Or any calc already done? Thanks.

E=m*c^2

E is energy, m is mass, and c is speed of light. SoL is obviously a fixed value, E is the result, and mass is the variable that changes. Mass of even a small black hole when energy converted would be clear into the 4-B range.

Assuming the blackhole to be a solar mass her feat would be ~1.4e47 joules at most or 1.4 Kilofoe, a farcry from other marvel 4-Bs.

It's almost up there with Thor's star-shaking feat but nowhere near Silver Surfer's solar system destroying feat, which is the gold standard by which all Marvel 4-B's are judged. Plus, I don't think she ever fought anyone on their level in the comics, so trying to scaling to them is not an option.

So her black hole eating feat is not even more impressive than Sirius's black hole moving feat or Bowser's black hole tanking feat. Love fiction.

And I can hear people complaining this again. Aside from the feminists.

It's not fair to compare to Bowser considering the size of the black hole he made but I get the Sirius part. The worst part is that this is Carol's best feat in the comics yet and she can't scale to Gladiator because she got stomped by him.

So, Carol's only 1.4 Kilofoe? Good lord, that is going have ramifications? Should we get that linked to her profile then?

The black hole in question needs to be measured. But the screens are there so it is just time that a real calculation is done.

Nah just did a calc for the speed of the meteor and I got FTL speed for it, so no KE though it could be a good speed feat for the Marvel speed revisions.

Is somebody willing to write down the calculation in a blog that can be linked to in her profile page?

Perhaps we need to measure the black hole eaten first.

Yes. That would be preferable.

Well, she can simply fly quickly across interstellar distances.

This is such a gigantic, epic outlier that it's literally impossible to reconcile it with any other feats she performs in the whole movie. Her next best feat is gradually imploding a multi-city block wide spaceship, for comparative basis.

A 4-B feat for a character that scales to other 4-Bs is an outlier?

So, returning to the main topic of getting this calculated...

From what little I see of the black hole, it doesn't look possible to calculate its size. I might look into the issue it's on for more contest.

Okay. Thank you.

Well, we probably need to update her and The Vision to 5-A, scaling from the Grey Hulk anyway.

Also, the KE calculation needs to be posted in a blog first.

It's not calcable, but that black hole is absolutely massive from the looks of it. Probably uncalcably in 4-B.

Drat. Carol doesn't have any signifigant feats to scale her within the comics.
