Starting with speed there was a calc that was rejected a while ago. https://vsbattles.fandom.com/wiki/User_blog:DontTalk/A_hammer_and_some_flying_past_stars

However at the end of Sonic Rush, Sonic and Blaze fly from earth to the void outside of the universe in order to reach the Egg Salamander. This would still give them a speed upgrade.

Now the Time Eater is pretty easy to explain. At the beginning of the game Time Eater attacks everyone and seals them into different points in time. Throughout the course of the game, Time Eater is gradually destroying the past and present timelines at the same time. <— Easily 2-C.

This scan says they were sent to different dimensions. The Modern and Classic worlds are different dimensions see here.

Also, lizuka stated on the latest SXSW that Modern and Classic are different timelines

@DMB Affecting two alternate dimensions is 2-C.

@Everyone else. What do you guys think about the speed?

Yes, Time Eater was gradually destroying the past and present timelines, but it was due to its actions:

Time Eater [who is able to erase the space-time continuum] created the White Void [Likely Universal sized] and then filled with it with pieces of area's from Sonic histories: Classic and Modern Versions of Green Hill Zone, Chemical Plant, Casino Night, Sky Sanctuary, Mushroom Hill, Speed Highway, Emerald Coast, City Escape, Radical Highway, Seaside Hill, Water Palace, Crisis City, Tropical Resort, Rooftop Ru, Planet Wisp and the Bosses Arena's.

Time Eater merged places, but not entire universe's and the past and present timelines were gradually going to be destroyed due to having large pieces [the parts Time Eater stole] being ripped from the original position.

I do not see a direct 2-C, but Low 2-C since affecting two dimensions Ôëá destroying them. I'm fine for speed feats that allows them to keep the MFTL+.

Alright, I've had my fun.

Neutral on the whole 2-C Time Eater bit, I'm fine with it either way.

Definitely fine with the speed upgrade.

What, you thought I hated Sonic? **** no!

@Zamasu Nah, I knew you didn't hate Sonic. You're actually pretty cool, that's just me being just the tiniest bit salty that 4-A is gone lol.

that high-end is 515 trillion x FTL, dam

Dark649 seems to make sense.

@Dark The calc is 789 Million x FTL as the low end if we're assuming Sonic is flying past stars, 515 Trillion x FTL as the high end if we're assuming he's flying past galaxies.

Those circles aren't (the size of) stars/galaxies that they fly by.

Each of dem circles is like, as tall as Blaze at best, seeing how one of them in the foreground shows up in front of Blaze:

prolly more like .5 meter wide circles lol

Well, at Time Eater certainly still seems to be a bit above baseline Low 2-C, so at least maybe it can get some wins now.

They still flew from earth to outside the universe though.

So these suggestions have all been rejected then?

Mephistus is Merlight, he's back.

I agree with his suggestion. People have always argued whether those are stars, galaxies, or just orbs, so I guess a different method would be better.

One, I've seen nothing about it taking place outside the universe.

Two, we have no idea how long it took. There was a scene change.

Three, even if we did know one and two we don't know how far the edge of the universe is to begin with. At best you'd use the radius, not the diameter.

I suppose Cal makes sense, but the speed should easily be in the Massively FTL+ range though. And I agree with Dark649 that Time Eater is simply Low 2-C.
