So I've been watching the anime, and I've noticed a couple interesting things that could lead to a potential upgrade in the verse (or at least Kirby's) speed

Two of those involve Kirby dodging shots from Destroya that are classified as plasma, which I've been told travels at MHS speed, and he did this on a damaged Warp Star. They are plasma balls, which could hinder their speed, but Kirby dodges a bunch of these in a row. More significant is the last one, which has Kirby fly to the sun in order to throw the monster Red Viper into it. The distance between Popstar and the sun must be pretty far, considering that the planet's ozone functions in a similar way to Earth, so it wouldn't make sense if the sun was ridiculously close to the planet, and Kirby did get there quick.
Idk, I just think it's interesting.
