This is something brought up in a Versus Thread, and I thought to make this thread so we could talk about it.
Now let me bring up the reasons why Bill should be Non-Corporeal:
1). Bill Cipher has been a Soul/Disembodied Consciousness while in the Mindscape from the start
Bill Cipher has been in the Mindscape everytime we meet him before weirdmageddon and when he took over Dipper's body, he says "it's been so long since I've inhabited a body" he says these very choice words. Inhabited, not had, which implies he's never had one. Then while in Dipper's body he says this about the Mindscape. "Basically a ghost". Also in the same episode when he's defeated he says "I'm a being of pure energy" and when Dipper's body finally collapses he questions why he feels what anyone who has had a body at some point should feel (Fatigue, Pain, etc). Bill has never really had a corporeal form he's kinda always been some kind of Soul or Disembodied Consciousness
2). Bill Cipher was still Non-Corporeal even with a body
Anon: Now even if we say he is Non-Corporeal before weirdmageddon, he has a body afterwards! and if Stan's weapon hit he would have died!
Well in Weirdmageddon he does create a body for him to inhabit, however… He has been shown to leave his body so it's not his true form. Stan also said these choice words: "If we can blast Bill back from the rift he came out of" his weapon would have just pushed him back through the rift, it wouldn't have killed him and it's only when he was a disembodied Consciousness that he was erased and killed.
But what do you guys think?
