Oh. Well that one's easy, the "setting in" is instant.
So the thought based equivalent of the charm gaze is instant, but the Leshay would have to think of their target, correct? Which would require Leshay to teleport in towards Mash. So since Mash has prior knowledge of such an ability, Mash would feasibly be able to just slap Leshay as soon as it comes in, right?

No, it's like social influence the effect just happen when he look at their eyes.

LeShay has no real reason to teleport into slapping range, I think. But feasibly, I suppose, technically, yes. The only real requirement would be for the LeShay to be able to see Mash.

Isn't that the thing that was argued as a starting move in other matches? That Leshay would teleport into close range of its opponents?

Even some thought based are not passive because the require thinking.

If LeShay need visual contact then it's not passive.

Depends on how she activates it in character too

Would be sus if she just sees Mash's dumbass appearance and tries to seduce him. Is Mash a minor?

"close" isn't really "melee range". They do teleport close- but more like ten meters away or so, rather than arm's length.

So Mash can kick a rock at the Leshay from that distance.

spray Arnold more for the mistake
I'm not trying to say it's impossible, but like... surely you can agree that Mash being affected by an undodgeable, thought-based ability, coming from a direction he won't necessarily be aware of, is more likely to be a win condition compared to Mash kicking a rock that may or may not be nearby that can indeed be dodged.

Maybe, yet I believe that Mash's options are just as likely to work. Say, he simply steps forward to shatter the ground upon sensing that Leshay is in a very close proximity and then kicking a rock at their face (I am not making this up, this is a thing that Mash has done). Such a short action to preform, though yeah thought based is better, But, question, why must it come from a direction?

You can believe as you like, I guess- Mash is your dude, I generally assume people will vote on their dude. I'm not sure what you mean by that last bit- the LeShay is going to be in... some direction from him.

Of course I would, I am one of the only 5 or so persistent Mashle supporters here

When you said thought based ability and "direction" in the same sentence I thought that meant the charm travels, but if it's the Leshay I get it.

Time to continue Mashle, what chapter is the part where Mash and gang have a beach break after IZ defeats Wahlberg and after the tug of war with a golem thing.
