Transformation Magic 「変身魔法 Henshin Mahō」: Grey uses this form of magic to take the appearance of other human beings or objects. She is also able to transform things other than herself, including rocks or enemy spells.

• Magic Convert 「マジックコンバート Majikku Konbāto」: Grey releases a cloud of magic that transmutes any magic into a different element. The user could choose what the final element is.

Can Grey convert NON-magical matter?

Grey's win condition requires her to:

1. Be able to reach the Time Vulture's elevation with her magic.
2. Have something she can transmute to defeat the Time Vulture.

If something being magical isn't a prerequisite for her transmuting it -& also she can reach vulture hovering height, whatever that is- she could do something like turning oxygen into magma & just turn the Time Vulture into a roast bird for the Black Bulls.

Especially since, if the Time Vulture sees itself as prey, it'll have its internal clock slowed down to speed up its perception of time. Would this mean:

A. The Time Vulture perceives time as going very fast & can keep up with this?
Or
B. The Time Vulture perceives time as going very fast, & can't keep it up, since it wants the wait for its prey's expiry to go by in a blink of an eye?

If it's something like B, almost anything can probably blitz the bird, making something like "oxygen to magma" even deadlier against it.


So yeah. How high does the Time Vulture fly, & how high is Grey's range?
Can Grey transmute non-magical matter?

Option B should be the right one. The idea is that it doesn't want to wait long, so if its perception is in turn sped up so much that it basically perceives time as normal that would be pointless.

So my guess is that Grey just eventually finds herself a broom, flies up to the bird and twists its neck with bare hands.

Tragically, her broom is not among her Standard Equipment. Should it be?

Dare I ask, what is her battle experience? Has she ever been in a 1vs1? By SBA, they're IC but willing to kill. Obviously, that doesn't mean bloodthirsty.
But surely Grey would have "How can I get rid of that bird" on her mind?

Can Grey use a transformation to turn into something like someone with a big sword such as Yami?

And after being pushed to the limit, she transmutated Gauche to heal him, in the recent chapters, that transmutation can heal his teammates against someone who is several tiers beyond them and doing heavy damage

Being always supporting, she fought in a war, transforming attacks of enemies into inoffensive attacks and using large scales attacks to transform said attacks into more powerfull spells like magma, also countering spells that has properties by transforming said spells into another type so the properties dissappears, example: Gel magic reflects light, if is not gel anymore, it stops reflecting and Grey can do that to allow his light magic friend Gauche to attack

In 1 VS 1 she can only use her magic to transform enemies attacks into an useless element, now with transmutation, she can do that to the opponent to inmovilize it at best, but everyone is stronger than her at this point and the opponent would resist this with Mana Skin, if she transforms into another guy, like Asta, then she has way less battle experience that said user, but she would be literally high 6-A in Attack potency, one punch and is gg

And I think Grey can use the magic/strenght of other people while transformed because she scales to Rhya/Raia who can do that, and transformation magic is the same for everyone who has that type of magic, and she even has a better version in transmutation

She can do that to magical attacks, but she never thought "Oh well, I can then change the air that surrounds me to create a orange juice!"

Because her application of transmutation outside of changing magical types has only been used on people to heal then, asking her to change air to magma is possible but she is not gonna think about this alone, she is not intelligent enough and her combat experience is limited in the sense of "I am a teamplayer" not a 1 vs 1 expert machine

She lacks 1 vs 1, Finral for example has 1 vs 1 experience againts his brother and his training in the heart kingdom, Grey has 0 1 vs 1 fights, because she could not do anything in the beginning and now that she can, the opponents are gods, even if she transform into high 6-A at that point, she would be useless, the enemies were high 6-A+ and her lack of experience would not help at all, so better to support rather than trying to be the heroine

BTW, in theory, could a tree branch with lots of leafy branches that spread out at one end work as a broom? That should be readily accessible in Central Park, no?
If it's not sufficient, maybe she could transmute it into a broom?

Grey can transform matter to another matter or magic to another magic. And Transmutation Magic can pretty much transform stuffs into whatever she wants. She once turned a poison gas into cotton

She can also transmute herself into inanimate objects, such as Asta’s sword
