Mori Dan, a weaker version of Jin, was completely indifferent to the zombie bite, which could infect almost an entire stadium of over 5000 contestants. This, on top of the fact that at least two other physically weaker people have only semi-resisted the bite shows that Phantom Form ain't working.

To beat Kenshiro, or really fight him, you seem to need either hefty EE resist, or be able to hit nonexistents.
