Vtubers discussion thread

That does remind me, did Gigguk ever show up in Ollie’s stream or was it just Anime Man and CDawg?
 
Hey, I've only recently gotten into vtubers, like within the last couple weeks. Exclusively been watching VShojo gals' streams and videos, and I've been catching up on their lore!

Even made pseudo-profiles for them in a sandbox. Their physical stats are garbage, as are the justification, but only because currently they're just for fun: https://vsbattles.fandom.com/wiki/User:Arrogant_Schmuck/VShojo

So now we gotta figure out how to make vtuber persona profiles legal on the VSBW.
 
You're missing out on the Hololive girls.

Also considering how AVGN having a page was a contentious topic on the wiki, I severely doubt we can give vtubers actual pages.
 
Eh Idk there's a shitton of hololive girls; too many to get invested in imo. Most of them speak aren't English-speaking, and the ones I've seen aren't up my alley. Seems like even the most "non-seiso" hololive girls are restricted.

Meanwhile all the VShojo girls are great because it's a talent-first company and they're all allowed to be their true lewd and meme-y selves. Not to mention they get to keep the rights to their own characters.
 
@Arrogant_Schmuck You do realize there’s english translations channels for the japanese Hololive members right? That’s how most of the international fans watch them so.
 
I'm considering making a thread advocating for the allowance of vtubers to have profiles. If I do, am I going to get any support from peeps here or does that depend on the validity of my arguments?
 
Again, AVGN didn’t get a page to stay at all despite being very similar to Vtubers in terms of his character, if you can do it go ahead, but I’m neutral on them having pages.

It kinda depends. VOCALOID have profiles here despite not being about battles at all so maybe.
I think the best way of getting VTubers approved is by having actual Respect Threads for them, to convince staff that there are enough feats to index them in this wiki.
So far, maybe you can make profiles for Hololive Members via Holo no Graffiti exclusive feats but again, it depends.

We had planned profiles for Hololive based on Hologra, because thats the only consistent source of feats (And its offically made by Cover) Problem is that a good third of the episodes are in copyright jail, and seeing how they were for a good year already, i dont see that changing in the near future.
 
I don't support Hololive EN, ID and Stars profiles until they get their own version of the series (Or they participate in Hologra). We can't and shouldn't make profiles solely based on premises and backround lore.
 
Bilibili has all episodes, but those are chinese. I found a channel that has uploaded those Bilibili onto youtube but woudnt you know it, chinese subtitles.
