Alright then.

In an SBA situation, Zonda would typically create copies of The Seven and have them fight her enemy, before then having them fight a copy of herself before finally letting them fight her true self, also creating an illusionary area that they need to go through. So just add everyone here but probably buffed to 7-A to this debate.

While Vandalieu could theoretically get the blood from the copies of The Seven, he wouldn't really get any sustinance from them since they don't really exist, being tangible illusions.

So then, Vandalieu needs to get past the entirity of The Seven and can't heal from them or get undead minions. No AZ resistance also means one hit from Tenjia will kill them. While life detection means Vandalieu will know The Seven arn't alive and even normal humans can tell something is off when in Zonda's illusions, there isn't much they can do about it.

While Vandalieu does have his own summons, Tenjian alone can probably handle most of them, since he can create durability negating effects in a large area. The Bees in particular are similar to someone Zonda's already probably familiar with from her time in Sumeragi. There's probably something I'm missing, however, and I'm not going to read the entire profile for every little detail.

TL;DR: I vote that the Adept Child beats the Dhampir Child

AZ won't work like you intend it to, due to Vitality (See: General -> Vitality). And Vandalieu can fight with his body frozen anyway and has fire moves to counter them, which he can pull of due to his precognitive danger sense.

Van can have his own equipment fight the 7. The illusionary area won't work, Van can destroy Illusions (and areas) via Hollow Cannon.

Van has very fast Regenerationn and mana regen (on top of his ridiculously large mana pool). To that comes blood potion for healing and the Demon King's Treasure Orb for Mana generation. He doesn't need blood to heal.

AZ probably doesn't work on ghosts to begin with and for the rest Vitality applies.

Vandalieu has perception based mind control and makes ample use of it. How do they defend against that?

Also note that Van has resistance to illusions and all his attacks deal soul damage.

Do their supernatural powers equalize to magic or no?

Tenjian is specifically stated to be able to damage someone's atomic structure. Destroying illusions would be a pain for Zonda, but Zonda did state that, as Reverie Zonda, her illusions become reality.

Zonda can just seal ghosts.

"Perception based mind control?"

"Resistance to illusions?". And what is this soul damage like? Is it like slowly damaging the soul and ignoring the body? Because Zonda can't put souls into her illusions (Probably even the ones made into reality).

No. Septimas are biologial, psychic and soul-based, but not Magical in nature.

Ok... AZ still doesn't work as intended due to the exact same reasons?

Sure, then again Vandalieu can probably just unseal the ghosts by negating the power behind it. Vandalieu can also create a nearly arbitrary amount of ghost copies from himself to fight, as well as create creatures out of Demon King fragments.

Anyone that hears or sees him is mind controlled regardless of distance.

Yes, resistance to illusions. What about it?

Not slowly damaging the soul, but rather quickly. With a well aimed punch he can destroy the soul in one swoop. But every other attack also permanently devours a part of the soul and adds the power to Vandalieu. As death mage he also has durability ignoring death projectiles.

Ok, so they roughly equal to skills then.

What stops Van from just attacking Zonda while ignoring the illusions?

Reading the vitality thing, Tenjian still freezes one's atomic structure. So Tenjian can just lock Vandalieu in place with ice.

You made it sould like they could only null magic.

Well that just seems obsenely overpowered and something that would turn this into a curbstomp. Zonda's illusions wouldn't be effected, but Zonda herself would.

Like, do they just automatically know illusions arn't real? Do they not even see illusions? Resistance to Illusions can mean a lot of things.

That's really effective on Zonda, but not her illusions.

I'm just gonna take your word for it. It should be noted that with just one of these in tact, Adepts can still use their septimas. A disembodied brain can still use Septimas, for instance. Or a spirit, or even a robot getting a soul.

The fact that SBA puts them 4km apart and Zonda has the conventional range advantage.

Not so sure about that. For one he could just heat himself with fire to prevent being frozen. Aside from that Vandalieu thinks with his soul and moves with telekinesis. Heck, he can even just slip out of his physical body and fight as ghost. Stopping the movement of his physical body has very limited effect on him.

Vandalieu has two kinds of energy absorption field that he can use to null techniques. One for magic and one for any energy that isn't magic. Pick your poison.

I guess. Was mostly curious why the dudess was suggested for the top 5 strongest non-smurfs, since her profile didn't make that obvious to me.

He only faintly sees normal illusions and illusionary sounds have static in them. So he knows immediately what is an illusion and can work unhindered from them.

You make a good point... in that I need to update Van's range... It is way larger than dozens of meters by now...

Zonda's considered one of the strogest of her tier (In terms of non-smurfs) mostly for summoning Tenjian in-character as well as others.

Also, bad news, but Multiversal range means Vandalieu is technically a smurf.

Oh, come on. That range only applies if the opponent has multiversal range <.<

I hate technicalities.
