Hello everyone, I was looking one of SethTheProgrammer's vid (the latest one at the moment I'm writting this). And apparently in an official guide it is stated that Boros' "collapsing star, roaring Cannon" is ACTUALLY a star busting attack.

Here's a link to the video in question: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aF1I2NKAlCs

The guide mentionned in the video (the one that states the "collapsing star, roaring cannon" can obliterate a star) is an official thing. So normally Saitama and Boros (in his ultimate form) should at least be tier 4 - C.

I'm not familiar with the verse but I must ask: Wasn't this already discussed and debunked literally yesterday?

>SethTheProgrammer

lol

Well, we have discussed this before, and the kanji for Star and Planet is the exact same ("Hoshi")

In the context of the attack, the primary canon (original comic) states it's a surface buster (High 6-A), the manga says it's a planet buster (5-B, since using context, Boros said he was going to "destroy this planet", him meaning star in this case would make no sense), and another guidebook says it's also a planet buster, since it was (according to the manga) going to destroy earth, which is baseline Planet level

Hoshi means Planet/Star, which is why it can be translated as Collapsing Star Roaring Cannon or Planet Busting Roaring Cannon. But either way, this is contradicted by the comic itself, which claims it to be a surface buster (Again, High 6-A)

Even then we only place characters at the highest they have shown (unless it's an outlier, of course), which is why, for example, a character is shown building busting, no matter how casual, they'll just be placed at "likely higher" or "possibly higher", while Star Busting is definitely likely for a higher end/more serious Saitama, it was never shown, even then, Boros was killed by an attack calced at High 6-A, and was originally written as a surface buster, honestly I believe they should really just be placed at High 6-A, going by the primary canon.

What you say makes sense. But I created this thread because Seth isn't the type of person to wank Saitama (to the contrary. He hates those who think he limitless) so I wanted to know if his statement was legit or not.

And I didn't know the same word was used in japanese to refer to a star and a planet at least I learnt something by creating this thread.

Also, attack names aren't usable for upgrades, with that logic, we'd upgrade Anti Spiral to 2-C just for the multi-dimensional labyrinth, or vice-versa, downgrade any character with an attack name that puts them lower than what they've shown

I don't know how Seth works with OPM, but with how he has shown himself with other verses (coughdragonballcough), he's not that credible to begin with, even then, if I have accurate power listings on my YouTube channel, that doesn't mean if I say, for example, Goku is a galaxy buster in base, doesn't mean it should call for an upgrade

That's not just because of the name. There's a section of the guide that literally says ""collapsing star, roarring cannon" which is formidable to obliterate a star (you can see it at 5 min 20).

I know names cannot be used (because Vegeta would be 3 - B in the android saga with his "big bang attack") and I was referring to a definition.

But yeah even if it's official, it contradicts way too many things.

Yes. I agree about this because it contradicts several things, also Seth thinks Naruto is a casual planet buster.

You mean the anime? Because the manga says surface wiping as well. Even uses the kanji for surface wiping. It's the anime and the first/original OPM guidebook that says Planet Busting (or planet ruining in the guidebook's case iirc)
