Mario in both Super Mario Galaxy 1 and Super Mario Galaxy 2, has shown access to Grand Star just like Bowser. So shouldn't he be Tier Low 2-C: Universe level+ just like Bowser with the Grand Star?

Mario in both Super Mario Galaxy 1 and Super Mario Galaxy 2, has shown access to Grand Star just like Bowser. So shouldn't he be Tier Low 2-C: Universe level+ just like Bowser with the Grand Star?

He didn't use them to empower himself. He used them as fuel for Rosalina's ship and portals for his own. So no, he doesn't get the tier.

Both Grand Star Powered Bowser and Dreamy Bowser defeats are PIS; it's all been discussed numerous times and Dino Ranger Black is also super tired of those discussions. He's also elaborated why numerous times as well.

King Boo's feat was done via a Paranormal Portals; aka a chain reaction. It wouldn't scale to King Boo's striking strength or durability or in turn anyone else.

So what's the difference between Mario defeating Low 2-C opponents versus Sonic defeating 2-C opponents? Aren't they the same thing?DarkDragonMedeus said:

Consistency. Sonic has defeated plenty of 2-C's. Mario has done it twice in the entire franchise.

Because Mario defeating Tier 2 characters in base form is an outlier because Mario is consistently Tier 4 and doesn't have any of his own Tier 2 feats. Against Super Dimentio, he had the Pure Hearts which makes it a completely different story. Sonic also has always required power ups to beat Tier 2 characters and cannot do so regularly. And because Chaos Emeralds are also completely random but that's also a different story.

Sonic's justification are unrelated to Mario. Mario was agreed as not having enough evidence to warrant a tier 2. That is all.
