Update From Vs Battles Wikia

Some news for some of our users from Antvasima about the whole situation involving Vs Battles Wikia's lockdown.

I've made the necessary configuration change - only autoconfirmed (users who have had an account on Fandom for more than 4 days) users can edit. I would suggest taking a week or two to see if this alleviates the problem and if not we can do more searching.

I have told them about the issue that unfortunately this has resulted in that everybody are currently locked out from editing, but they regrettably usually take 1 to 5 days to reply.

If we are lucky, there will only be a few hours of maintenance. If we are unlucky, we will all be locked out for 4 days, until we are all autoconfirmed. - Ant

Thanks for the message here, Aku. Would have made it earlier but it slipped my mind.

Yeah as Aku said, to anyone of VSBW that reads this, this is the state of why VSBW is inaccessible from editing and commenting. For the moment, anyone from there is free to use this wikia for.....well whatever you guys want to do. But do please keep everything in a calm and chill tone whenever possible, if that is not too much to ask. Thank you.

I didn't realise we were intentionally locked out, I assumed something was glitchy.

Why was the lockdown implemented?

@Monarch: It has to do with how many sock accounts were made on the wikia recently if not for a while that we have currently.

Ant had taken this up to Fandom Staff to put a wikia lock of sorts on the site so that any new user that comes to the wikia, assuming it's a sock of a banned user by any chance, will not be able to do any editing or commenting even. IDK the whole story and/or reasoning of this but that's the gust of it AFAIK.

Ant will be able to explain it better when we're able to get back in a couple days.

Here is what Antvasima sent me today. "Here is a response that I received from the Fandom staff regarding the wiki shutdown:"

" Hello, Sorry for this issue - I've looked into the problem and it seems that an older setting your community had interfered with this working properly. Alright everyone, listen up.

So the shutdown has finally let up just under an hour ago. So basically, we can get back into editing and even commenting there again.

So you're good to go back there again, though all are welcome to using this place again as an alternative place of discussion.....as long as you do them in a calm and chill and polite manner.....and if you guys ever want to, you can check all the profiles i and others made here for viewing if you'd like.
