I personally don't like the idea of deleting or locking down the verse, but since most people agree with it, I'm fine with it going through.

Oh, and something everyone involved must remember...

DELETED PROFILES MUST HAVE CRTS TO BE RECREATED!

Goes without saying, yeah. We should maybe have some kind of measures against unsupervised nonsense happening, though I'm unsure as to what aside from reporting stuff if it happens.

I'll link the Discord server in the General Discussion thread now too.

Could you link the general discussion thread. Or better yet just send the discord link here so we can join. I know some informed people about fate that don't have vsb accounts

  • Only create profiles for characters that you are very familiar with/that you know much about, and present evidence or logical arguments for their statistic listings.”

In the welcome message page used in the wiki, it seems to me, this implies the usage of a CRT tbh

Here's a task for y'all:

See these deleted pages? Click on one of them, it should take you to a source editor to create that page you clicked; then exit the source editor, and on the right panel there should be an option called "What links here", click on it, then it should take you to another list of pages. Remove all of the links to the deleted page for all of the displayed articles, unless the displayed page has a prefix like "User, User blog, Test, etc.", if there are prefixes then ignore them; otherwise, abide by the step.

Repeat this step for each deleted page. If there aren't any main pages that lead to the deleted page, then move on to the next. Probably not so nice for me to force y'all to do my content moderating work, but come on, we're a team

Anyways, closing.

@TWILIGHT-OP @Vzearr @LamentSatanael @Wankbreaker @Dereck03 get to work

I've only read the OP, but why the hell was this done? The OP's self-contradictory. Saying simultaneously that no-one cares enough to fix it, and that supporters are willing to come together for months to redraft the pages.

Why are we allowing people to delete a verse so they can recreate it in a few months? Many profiles are sub-optimal, we don't need to delete them while supporters revise them. Many huge verses, such as SCP, have faced the need for large-scale revisions that required months of expert discussion in the past.

In general I think this sets a very bad precedent. If you can delete something to revise it, even if you make a CRT to recreate it afterwards, for one thing, that prevents independent users from contributing low-stakes but high-quality profiles to the verse in the meantime, it makes it impossible for those who aren't a part of the clique to contribute to these changes (which is seemingly already causing some drama), and it makes it easier to force through changes that wouldn't ordinarily get accepted, as they're bundled with literally every single statistic and ability for the entire verse.

Were these things I'm bringing up considered in making this decision?

Pinging Thread Mods/Admins who accepted this so I don't have to re-open it: @Sir_Ovens @Deagonx @DarkDragonMedeus @Planck69

I'd hereby like to apologise to @Wankbreaker, @LamentSatanael, Sariel, @CRIMPSUMPSKI2 and any other of the Mage's Association server for deleting the invite link off the thread out of rash decision on my own, without consulting to other staff members about it. And also providing misleading and misjudged information to these fellow users. Abysmally toxic drama occurred and I was pulled into such distress, but it shouldn't be the full responsibility of the server or the staff members of the server for the incident that occurred earlier today, especially several of them put their notable efforts to get into my defence by defusing the chaos.

I made a mistake and I agree to take accountability for it. I am deeply sorry; I promise something like this of a similar nature won't happen again.

For me, I'm fine with deleting/privating the verse if it means setting up a better scaling and cosmology foundation and proper reference sources.

From the looks of it, we can just view and undelete it from the public logs and add the new revisions when they are ready. I don't see the issues.

I had the impression that the scaling sucked in many areas, and that nuking them and rebuilding from scratch was a proposed method to fix them. I don't exactly have the strongest opinions one way or another, but Agnaa does raise some good points. But I'm not sure how much help I could be since I am no expert on the verse, though I do know criteria for certain policies.

I've made a thread discussing what our general philosophy on this sort of thing should be here.

Note that, even if that thread passes as I want, I'd still make another thread specifically discussing Nasuverse before it's brought back.
