Transfigurative or sealing energy beams to be specific. Banishing, transfiguring, or sealing via beams is actually quite in character for her, and she in fact outright states in one episode that she would've transmuted the random monster of the week into a rodent if she knew the spell to do so, and in a later episode was going to use a banishment spell on a house-sized turtle before Celestia and Luna came in and stole her thunder.

All other instances of her doing otherwise involve unstable magic-making such a tactic unviable, constantly missed attacks due to being dodged or blocked, monsters that explicitly have thick hides resistant to magic, and straight-up plot-induced stupidity.

Tl;dr, she's pretty liable to start off with hax that takes the form of a laser beam.

Hmm. Well, he definitely doesn't do danmaku when his opponent is at a distance. What he does specifically is just flying far away of his own accord to do it. His more common ranged attacks seem to be firing a Sonic-sized laser beam, and firing a rotating, orbiting ball that occasionally shoots beams. And spamming missiles probably isn't the best idea against someone who can yeet them back at you.

Anyways, I'm going with Twilight via haxing him with a laser beam. It's way more in-character than people would expect. Made a whole thread talking about why it is years ago but never gained too much attention.
