That is because Jinton has several modes with different amounts of power put in it. Each of them are different techniques qith their own name. And as far as I know the databook has never contradicted the manga.

If they can change individual elements making up those compounds its atomic (Like turning a lump of lead into an ingot of gold); but if its referring instead to the molecular bonds that would just be molecular obv. (The valence electrons also are the primary factor for chemical properties of elements/compounds)

but in regards to the TSO i think i need more context for this, but going from the evidence from the quote and from comments above I am leaning to it being molecular manipulation.

The video links are down, but going by the databook and what I can see, I still retain my stance. Ideally, for atomic manipulation and beyond there should be clear statements to support it, as the more extraordinary a claim is the more extraordinary the claim must be to support it.

There are some points blatantly wrong in these comments:

1. Obito never uses a TSB to heal himself. Instead he just heals himself. In the chapter before this, we see a similar smokey-gas healing effect on Obito, despite no TSB near him.

2. He doesn't use a TSB to create the barrier, to create it he shoots black rods from his hands to do so, not TSB. Anyways, that's not atomic manipulation either way since the rods are acting as Chakra Receivers similar to Pain's black rods. It's a placeholder for the barrier to form and sustain itself.

3. The Bijuudama Rasenshuriken isn't stated nor shown to be made with TSB. The only thing that says that is the Naruto wiki...which is not proof.

4. Kaguya's ETSB is incomparable to the regular TSB. The databook entry for the ETSB even says this, which you conviniently left out of your copy/paste of the ETSB databook entry: "The equivalent black orbs that appear behind Naruto's back when using Six Paths Sage Mode can't be compared to its dimensions."

Toneri's TSB are the only one's that do seem change, but they also act and behave differently than Naruto, Obito and Madara's TSB did. They seem to be unique on their own.

1. You're using the anime for proof when the manga doesn't show the same thing. In the manga he's not using the TSB for healing, it's the same healing effect seen in the previous chapter where we see no TSB even near him.

2. The TSB behind him does light up, but seen in the following scan we see that there is no TSB behind his hand that is flowing through his hand.
