What a Beautiful Series:
Starting of with Inganock, a whole city got isolated from the world, with the residents becoming part animal, those were the lucky ones, the unlucky ones became rocks. Disease which fused with your literal existence threaten you, and supernatural existences like Critters which no normal person could ever beat, roam around the city, and could either end you or enslave your mind making you a puppet.
Sharnoth had a bunch of people interested in experiments/research, which would get them to Sharnoth, it's kinda tame until they eventually achieve their goal and the whole world is plunge into eternal darkness.
Gahkthun from memory isn't really that bad too, until Golden King was going to destroy the whole Island, killing a 100k people.
So common theme here is if you live there, your city or even world could just get wiped out, or screwed over.
But the worse would have to be Karsheel, one day giant like clockwork pillars pierced the earth and wiped out like 90% of the population, the rest are hunted down by the dead, and the survivors have to survive off the scarps of food and water they can find, not able to stay in on place too long due to the dead, who want to exterminate all life. This world has already ended, there is no hope, even the power used to fight the dead, eventually makes you become one of them.
Don't go to this world, always some messed up stuff going around, cause Evil Nyarlathotep is intent on making all life suffer (Edison really needs to die). Idk if being target by a multiversal god would disqualify it based on the rules though.

It’s not as bad as the others but honestly the Springfield from the simpsons is bad to live in,
the police officers are incompetent, the mayor is corrupt, the nuclear power plant is built near the homes, they suck at their job, the krusty burger has bad sanitation/the food is made of road kill, if your not from Springfield wear protective gear and a Geiger counter as the radiation levels are high, etc.
