Pretty sure that's only seen with Kaidou, we see other ACoC users like Luffy Yamato and Zoro always pushing people away and not touching them.

Kaidou is a bit different than the other Hao coating users. Either that or G5 has a resistance towards Hao and Buso coating which is already noted within the profile.

Since Gin took too long to cook...
This form of Orochi has a sizeable AP and Dura advantage (3.8x, with his dura being potentially higher.) and Luffy's dura neg won't really be much effective against him due to immortalities and size. His plasma blasts have a good AOE and his H2H scales to Half monster Garou on top of being able to apply it with his many limbs to counter attacks and strike back with 2x the force.
But the problem here is Luffy has both really good precog and high unpredictability in this key, making hitting him much harder, and his constitution makes him resist not only both the heat and eletric effect of Orochi's Blast, but any physical as well other than slashing/piercing attacks (wich are much easier to dodge.) And even if he deals little damage he can still chip away at Orochi's stamina, with Luffy's being much better other than Orochi's ability to keep fighting through severe damage. He can also counter his large Size by growing and absorption by using haki.
