So lemme get straight, Ascalon was only stuff in this dimension that could stop Dagon as much as we know. That proves further by how Vilgax challenged ben to do whatever he can and ben choose Ascalon.
Ascalon > Entropy pump (I'm pretty sure after Aggregor events most of smarters should have known what it is) > Element X > Suglite?
I'm sure Azmuth is fine with sacrificing 2 or 4 star systems if he can stop Dagon but not the Universe, so Omnitrix self destruct shouldn't be an option.

If he does then maybe, although the destructive power of Element X can’t be controlled like Sugilite’s crystal can. I also don’t think we have any way of knowing or not.
