Tier 1 & 0 Review Thread

Okay, I would like to submit Get A Snack cosmology. I don’t care what parts are acceptable or if any of it is, this is just what I’ve researched.
What is the Get a Snack series? Is this a fan fiction or what exactly, since you said you "researched" it. I looked it up and all that came up was some roblox game.

Roblox content that wasn’t put into Roblox events goes on FC/OC, it’s in the rules.
No, what?
Roblox is considered a game engine, not a "verse" of its own, so stuff produced on it is equally as valid to go onto vsbw as games made on RPGMaker, you juts need to fulfill the notability criteria

most Roblox games pass the notability çriertia

Oh… okay. I didn’t know that. Then it’s probably just notably. Also… why are there so many popular Roblox games on FC/OC then?

Aside from the whole thing about it going on VSBW, this seems alright apart from the Orby & Kyu and admin sections.

Contending with 4-D beings doesn’t inherently make you 5-D, especially if you don’t stomp them. If the PLAYERS are even remotely comparable then they are 4-D, just more powerful.

I don’t think transcending a 5-D dimension makes you High 1-A like doing the same with a 4-D one makes you 1-A. High 1-A is completely above the previous tier by an infinite amount, so I think it could make you 2 layers into 1-A if I understand it correctly, maybe? Idk

I’ll let the mods decide everything else

That’s fair. Like I said, this is just what I know, and I’m not a huge dimensional scaler.

i heard the way 5D is gotten is though like an R>F so if theres any vaild reasoning this could be 1-A on vsbw

I would like to know if the cosmology is approved or not. It’s been a week or two so I just want any answer at this point.

I don't believe that a Roblox game belongs on this site. It's neither fan fiction nor your personal original fiction.

Roblox itself is a game engine. The games there can qualify for being on VSBW if they are popular enough / fulfill all the requirements.

If it doesn't fulfill the requirements then it ends up in a gray area. We were supposed to have the Alt Battles Wiki for that.

Interjection to note that Alt Battles isn't an official partner wiki or what have you, they have just sort of volunteered to be a receptacle of VSBW-appropriate content that failed to meet general requirements and thus was disqualified.

Rejected for what I feel are probably obvious reasons that I am tired of repeating.

Please just read the Tier 1 Page Rules and review of the accepted submissions to get an idea of what the standards are.
What part of it really cause
  1. Scales are right.
  2. It's not just PWFTSOPW.
And if it's cause the thing's too short, I can rework that.
Edit: Yeah I re-read it like I did before submitting, and I don't see what's wrong with it.

I'm not FC/OC staff, but since I'm here (and the FC/OC staff seem unhappy in discussing here):

Your blog is very light on meat-on-the-bone, it has very little substance. It begins by simply stating in VSBW terms "it's uncountably infinite sized worlds, so it's 5D", and then just explains in single sentences that other places are thus higher tier. There's nothing implying a story world exists around this or that these things are necessarily true- they can be, obviously, you are the creator of the world, but FC/OC has no interest in hosting a litany of characters that are Tier 1 "because I said so, and I'm the author".

Even using the correct jargon to yield Tier 1 will not yield Tier 1, because the jargon is not what FC/OC is concerned with. They are concerned with the motive of the writing. The purpose of this thread, then, is to show that there is a necessary reason for a given character to be Tier 1, within the actual infrastructure of a plot and story. Tier 1 for the sake of it is old hat and decidedly unfashionable.

Read the story instead of immediately thinking I want them to be tier 1 for the sake of tier 1, thanks! (Not meant to be aggressive, I kinda just saw a thing that'd boost my characters scales after the TI crossover happening, and Starlight in the epilogue also tells Chiliaii to shut up about it.)

to tldr he's basically saying
hey, you can't have just raw scaling, you need to give some type of narrative importance and reasoning behind that scaling and why it should be the case rather than something lower

u gotta show the story elements on the blog gng cuz there's like 5 mods on fc/OC wiki so you should make their job evaluating your work as easy as possible

Respectfully, I don't really want to. I was trying to explain why these sorts of things are typically rejected. Your burden lies with the FC/OC staff, not me. My post was made to offer clarity. Beam your aggression to them, if you feel it constructive.

Thanks Bambu. I have spoken to this user before on discord about this verse and why a lot of it doesn't really stack up ...

There are many glaring issues.

One of the first problems that becomes immediately apparent is that you use this VSBW-scaling-isms for your in-verse lore. "Uncountably infinite" universes is extremely vswiki-coded. That kind of language is not anything you would find anywhere else. It is nonsensical jargon to the common population, so that makes me think that this was made by power scalers for power scalers. What makes it even worse is that this is not even a part of the storyline at all. Rather, it is instead an author comment on the episode of the story you have on Scratch. That doesn't give the vibe of it being narratively important at all.

The next part of the scaling comes from a very short chapter with a lot of similar issues.

This entire chapter is basically just more power scaling jargon. There is very little substance here. Two characters fighting each other with little description and in the middle of it we get possibly the most simplistic and basic power scaling statement ever: "X person transcends X thing."

I'm sorry, but that just isn't going to cut it. I really don't know what more you want me and Bambu to say.

And, that kind of response directed at Bambu is part of why I didn't even want to make a big post about why I am rejecting this in the first place. It is as though it goes in one ear and out the other one.

finally you actually explain it
thx

That makes me question some of the Roblox games on FC/OC but fair enough. Thanks. Player is already on the FC/OC, so can his cosmology be added at least? You don’t need to answer that if you don’t want to.

Tier 1 for the sake of it is old hat and decidedly unfashionable.
2 Things to add to this.
  1. 1/6th of the wiki's pages were deleted when the site underwent it's Tier 1/0. Mainly pointing this out for contextual reasons to would be submitters. Not all, but a good number of these pages weren't exactly descriptive or open to critical discussion, among other issues. They existed, and existed in those tiers because the author wanted them to be there rather than it being a transformative contribution to the story or the concept cosmology structuring itself.
  2. It's apparent when people don't actually read the OP and it's contents. It's also in no ones best interest if this process has clearer shortcuts, or approval paths. Doing so, more than anything else, robs the creator of specfic critcal feedback, the emphasis thereof, and devalues the comments by the Tier 1/0 approval team on a per review basis. Sometimes a blunt explanation, like the one Phoenks initially gave, is all that needs to be said.

Genuine question about a verse concept I want to introduce, but unsure if I want to submit it here at some point , just keep it at Unknown , or just not attempt it. I'll leave that up to you to decide after I give a brief explanation on what exactly I have planned:

In one of my concepts, I explained that the distinction between what is and is not, as well as can and cannot be considered the true story/canon of that fictional universe doesn't exist, essentially allowing for boundless possibilities and reinterpretations/versions/canons, as one person's story/canon is just as valid as anyone else's. I did it so people would have limitless creative freedom to create their own interpretations/canons/stories for that fictional universe. Hence why it is extremely difficult to pin it down underneath one cosmology or the next, as it'd vary depending on the individual creators. For example, two canons/stories that contradict one another would both be equally the true canon/story of that fictional universe.

My initial plan was just to submit the "lower tiers" of the verse on Fc/Oc , aka those lesser than Tier 1, then explain the verse concept on a blog or something. I'm not going to submit the one who canonically created the verse or anything remotely like that, since due to the verse's nature they would be impossible to put in a certain tier. Would this be allowed, or would it be considered more akin to SCP Foundation and given the boot if I ever attempted it ?
