The Ultra Series Discussion Thread: Unleash! The Power of Imagination!

Ah yeah, I saw that profile, too. It kinda helps, since I too was getting worried that I might be listing stuff left and right with the powers and abilities.

Okay just finished today‘s episode of Ultraman Trigger and what can I say. This. THIS is what I have been waiting for.

The atmosphere of despair when it seems like they couldn’t win as Trigger lost to Satandelos three times in all three forms. Ignis acting like an anti-hero and helping out TPU in order to get his revenge on Hudram. The great team up between Trigger and TPU against Hudram and Satandelos. Nobody was acting in any awkward way and the overall story of this episode was just great.

This is easily the best episode so far of Ultraman Trigger easily a 9/10 from me.

And not much happened in this week’s GRF Voice Drama. Just a meeting between Joneus and the Galaxy Rescue Force.

Also Trigger Dark suit reveal.

Pretty much my thoughts as well. The way it starts in dark lens and gradually move to a more positive atmosphere was a real treat. That's not to say they didn't acknowledge what they were bringing up, what with Lishuria's destruction and all. Also, I think Hudram eats people. Oh well, at least we got to see him on the receiving end of Triggercs best assault so far. It's so good, I don't need more Sky Type, I need Power Type to have as good of a showing.

Huh, was expecting more black or dark colours on Trigger Dark. But this is fine. Kinda reminds me of Hudra.

Lol it’s funny Tiga showed Power Type much more often than Sky Type and yet Trigger does the opposite and uses Sky Type more often than Power Type. But yeah you’re right we only saw a single glimpse of Power Trigger this episode in the flashback of him losing to Satandelos. We really need to see more of Power Type. And luckily Z is coming back next episode in all his forms so we’re probably gonna have a suit changing fest next episode.

Also speaking of which it doesn’t seem like Mr. Bambu is going to evaluate the Hudra calc. Should I like just find somebody else to evaluate it?

And if previous showings are any hint, these transformation fest usually give them some respect so yeah, maybe we will get some proper showcase of all their types. Ironic it'd be from the guy who focuses more on the practicality and storytelling who'll do the episode. I know he also did Orb and Z's mad finale, but still, let's hope Taguchi does it well.

I think so. But I really don't know who else who can help now.

Honestly at this point I have no clue who I should ask so I was thinking about just asking every single calc member and just see who will reply.

Alright guess I’ll do just that. I already asked 4 of the 15 calc members so there’s 11 other calc members left to ask.

Edit: Alright asked 6 other calc members that are active. I hope at least one of them responds to the calc.

Finally, just watched the newest episode earlier and that was a really intense episode, everyone is working together, we got an clearer backstory for Ignis and wow, Hudram was basically commited genocide

This raise another curiousity and question, what is Hudram doing since he woke up way before Carmearra and Darrgon, aside genocided Lithurians, he may do an another works and i have a feeling it would be more sinister than we seen so far

So far Darrgon would have a deeper bond with humanity and Trigger, wherehad Hudram would have a more backstory about his deed and the whole Ignis revenge against him, sadly that mean we would'nt see more of Carmearra until the middle to end of Phase 1 of Trigger series

Hudram was probably eating people. Also, dammit, that makes sense that we might not get much of Carmearra during the other two's arc. But maybe it doesn't have to be that way.

Can you give me an ep where ginga and victory even as a Spark Doll acted on their own to save Shou and Hikaru.
It's literally at the start of the finale at episode 16.

@Peter1129
Not sure if that'd mean the asteroids were actually planetoids. Or does it being planetary satellites mean it's comparable in size to moons and such? That'd probably boost range, actually.

@Veloxt1r0kore
Yeah, sad hearing that. He brought an extra bit of charm in the original series and particularly stood out as Ide, despite the show already having a great cast. And I'm sure wherever else he had starred in, he was just as great. Rest in Peace, Masanari Nihei.

Not exactly sure. On the Ultraman Tiga series databook statements thread on Tieba somebody just posted this image from this databook and said apparently the asteroid that Hudra blew up is considered a satellite.

At the start? After Lugiel fired those bolts and petrified them, Hikaru mentions how Ginga and Victory saved them again. As extension, it's the same case at the end of episode 7 after being defeated by Five King.

Though i don't get it when did it said that Ginga Victory is still sentient and able to perceive time even as a Spark Doll ?

That's just by connecting the dots. It's not explicitly said, but it should be logical to say that by being able to act on their own, and even speak to Hikaru in Ginga's case, it meant that he and Victory are sentient with wills of their own despite being Spark Dolls.

So the preview of the Ultra Heroes EXPO Part 2 stage show is out. And huh I’m actually surprised that despite being a non canon stage show they are actually keeping the scaling rather close to canon.

Base Ginga and Victory’s combined beam couldn't do any damage to Tartarus amped Belial and Tregear even though they stood still and took it head on. And Tartarus amped Tregear alone was able to knock down Ginga, Victory, Ribut, and Z with a casual beam. Guess these newer stage shows really are trying to keep the scaling consistent unlike the old ones.

Yep. This seems to take place after Ultraman Z and during Ultraman Trigger. Albeit in a weird timeline where Trigger knows Tiga. But yeah just non canon stuff.

And the full Part 2 stage show should be out on bilibili sometime tomorrow. I’m actually rather looking forward to it. Part 1 was actually pretty decent for a non canon story. Not to mention Tartarus is appearing again. It’s always fun to see Tartarus. He’s cool. Probably one of if not my favorite antagonist of the series right now.

Full stage show is out

Stage show starts at around 6:33. Huh so this stage show is essentially about people in the real world getting sucked into a RPG game world. Tartarus and the others only appear at the beginning as a small cameo. Bummer. Though it seems like according to the summary the main reason all these things are happening due of Tartarus messing with the different dimensions.

inb4 this is meant for late or even post-Trigger

I mean, when you look at it, the roster makes sense in a narrative way. Given Ginga's reputation, he should logically be the League's best method at tracking down and chasing after Tartarus.

But on the video itself, I didn't see through the end but still a bummer to know that Tartarus wasn't around for much or long.

Honestly I wouldn’t even be surprised. Cause I remember that one time they released a non canon stage show that took place after a series before said series even ended.

Yeah shame that Tartarus was around for long. It’s always fun to see him do some more timey wimey stuff even if it’s non canon.

I think it was the New Years one. They released the stage show before UGF2 ended and pretty much spoiled Tartarus, Belial and Tregear surviving when people were speculating whether or not they would survive UGF2.

Yeah at first people thought since it’s not canon it might not actually be the case. But after UGF2 ended they realized that nowadays the stage shows are much closer and connected to canon. So there could actually be potential spoilers even in non canon stage shows now.

Also should I make a Low 2-C upgrade thread to allow more characters to scale to Imit-Belial and Base Zero? Cause thinking about it now we actually never brought this up on any of our previous revision threads. So we can’t just go and make everybody Low 2-C in the Reiwa Era without getting it accepted first. I might as well bring up the mulitplier and other scaling changes as well.

Well that would also require convincing staff that the range of the bomb would qualify it for Low 2-C because if I'm not wrong, that was literally the only counter argument that stopped us from getting an outright Low 2-C rating. Unless you found more to use.

No I don’t mean a straight up Low 2-C upgrade. I mean just a scaling CRT to show that Reiwa Era New Generation Ultras in their strongest form and the Showa Ultra Brothers scale to Imit-Belial and Base Zero who are At least 3-A, likely Low 2-C. Thus allowing us to upgrade them to tier 2 without the changes getting reverted by a staff.

But yeah the change would be kinda small so I was wondering if there are my other stuff you want me to put on this thread? I might as well just call it Ultra Series Miscellaneous changes since it’s not really an upgrade.

Should we also talk about the abilities that should be on the Ultra Physiology page on this thread or should that be a separate thread by itself?

The physiology is pretty miscellaneous in itself so could probably go ahead with it. Though still note that it's still kind of in development. I mean, if DMC's Demon Physiology page is still being updated, I'm sure as long as it lists most of the more essential abilities it should be fine.

Alright. I’ll keep in mind to add the ultra physiology stuff onto the thread when I make it. Also this reminds me I completely forgot to add Teleportation and Creation as a natural ability for Ultras. Like King’s (I think ODF) profile description literally says teleportation is an ability all ultra can use albeit at the cost of a huge energy drain. And we clearly see Ultras creating stuff out of nothing like Ultraman created constellation, Ace created his sword, the New Generation Ultras and Zero made the bracelets, Geed can make capsules, etc.

Oh, right, creation is pretty much everywhere now. First time I'm hearing of Teleportation as being universal though, so that's nice to know, especially since it's somewhat combat applicable. Though are we sure this one goes beyond M78?
