Why would Grace keep wasting his time with what is to him, not even a pest? He is just as likely to quit as Lucy is due to it being a waste of time.

For a similar reason other Digimon will kill much weaker Digimon if they bug them enough. Not to mention that the whole point of his existence is to destroy anything that can be a threat to the Digital World. Something Lucifer would be.

Now to ask you a question. Why would Lucifer go back to fight someone who literally just one-shot him? I would argue Lucifer would quit much earlier. Especially seeing as Grace has literally nothing else to do but deal with Lucifer's numerous attacks. He kills him and absorbs him once, gains Lucifer's skills, Lucifer comes back and then proceeds to challenge Grace again for whatever reason. That makes sense.

Grace is the reactionary one here. He merely reacts to Lucifer's attacks. It's no effort for him to take him out the moment her returns. He's not going to quit. He'll continue to trap and kill Lucfifer as many times as he wants.

Why would Lucifer be a threat to the digital world? He would only be a threat if he had any issues with it existing and why would he have that? This is all based on why the fight is happening, which we don't know.

Lucifer is a threat in a similar way Diaboromon is a threatening force, Grimmon is a threatening force. He's a malicious force that has the power to destroy it. This is despite the fact that Diaboromon is someone the Royal Knights and Co. can one-shot with ease. Seeing a being with Dark powers, especially one that looks like Lucemon will raise many flags. It's common sense at that point.
