Mario would probably start by using jump related attacks, a fireball, since Mario is a Mortal Thor in character would hold back. Thor seems to have the hax that can contest with Mario's hax. Holding my vote for later.
 
i mean thor will realize that mario is a worthy opponent which will make him use more power to defeat him, so his power will slowly adjust until he can match him.

Also Mjlonir is a great advantage and thor will be able to resist mario's fire attacks easily or disperse it with just air
 
Thor definitely has a skill advantage here and can bring in some hammer time if necessary. Mario feels too low to stand up to thor. Also, how does Thor's mind hax work?
 
you know, one of the funniest parts of all vsbattles is the fact that, despite having one of the smallest gaps between baseline and topline and the smallest among tier 4-B to any other one, 3-C has the biggest variety of APs
